## What is Sarai?

Sarai is the EV charging app for Pakistan. Find a charger, plan the trip, plug in and pay, all from one app.

FIND EVERY CHARGER
See chargers near you on a live map, with status, connector type, power and price. Operator, community and open-data stations, all in one place — filtered for the car you actually drive.

PLAN TRIPS WITHOUT RANGE ANXIETY
Enter your destination and Sarai builds the route with charging stops along the way, picking the best charger at each one and showing your battery level as you go.

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
Open any charger for live availability, pricing, connectors, photos and reviews from other drivers, so you never arrive to a surprise.

CHARGE FROM YOUR PHONE
Connect at the charger, start and stop the session, and watch power, energy and cost update live while you charge.

ONE WALLET, EVERY CHARGER
Top up once and pay per session in PKR. Every session ends with a clean, itemised receipt you can keep or expense.

BUILT AROUND YOUR CAR

### 4/5 — CarPlay support

Great app. Needs to add ability to open trip route in Google Maps instead of Apple Maps. Also needs Apple CarPlay support.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 2.0.3 — 2026-10-24

Get even more from the app with new optimizations and improvements. Performance is faster and smoother, so everyday tasks run with less delay. Updates also tighten reliability, helping the app work more consistently across devices and sessions.

### 2.0 — 2026-10-04

Sarai 2.0. All new.

A new design, built around the map
The map fills the screen: every charger around you, your car and battery on top, and one
Where to? bar. Zoom out to see chargers counted by city, with trip ideas.

Look around anywhere
Move the map and the Around pin shows the chargers wherever you are looking.

Know the price before you go
Time-of-use pricing for the hour you will charge, and rates by power source: grid,
generator or solar, plus whether a site keeps charging through load-shedding.

Charge your way
Stop by time, by cost, or at the battery percentage you choose.

One page for every charger
Live bays, the cost of a full charge, phone numbers with who answers and when, hours,
facilities and reviews. Share any charger as a picture with a link that opens it in Sarai.

Road trips that look after you
Sharper battery predictions for heat, hills, night driving and speed, better charging
stops, and a new trip screen with an arrow that glides with your car.

### 1.3 — 2026-09-15

Optimizations, better map experience, more chargers added.

### 1.2 — 2026-08-23

• Saved, all in one place — chargers, places, and trips you've kept now live together under one Saved tab. Tap the star on any charger to save it instantly.

• SOS — ask nearby drivers for help, or get straight through to the right emergency number when it's serious.

• Fine-tune your pin — after searching a place, drag it to the exact gate or entrance before you save or route to it.

• See the cost of each leg — trip plans now show the distance and battery used between every stop, not just the arrival charge.

• Screen stays on while navigating — no more losing your turn because the display dimmed.

• A cleaner look — key screens have been redesigned for clarity.

### 1.1 — 2026-08-17

Smarter trips and a smoother map in this update:

• Better trip planning — routes now pick the right charging stops and skip unnecessary ones, so your plan matches the road.
• Navigation shows live distance and time to your next stop, and asks how the charger was when you arrive.
• Far from your starting point? You can now browse the whole planned route from the start instead of being sent to Google Maps.
• New "My Chargers" — add a charger right from the map and keep track of the ones you've added, with their review status.
• Cleaner map — restyled start, destination, and stop pins that are easier to read at a glance.
• Open your planned route in Google or Apple Maps in one tap.
• "Around a place" search now zooms straight to the nearby chargers instead of the whole city.
• Wallet balances now show commas for easier reading (e.g. PKR 12,345).
• Fixes: no more false "charging finished" message after reinstalling, and improved duplicate detection when adding a community charger.
