Some I can see and read yet others it wants me to subscribe to. I’m already subscribing! It even recognizes me when I open the app but things go downhill from there. The app doesn’t let me check my subscription status, so I have no idea what’s going on. I can still read the HT by opening the e-mailed edition but that’s a hassle. To me, the coverage is factual and relatively timely. I count on it to start my day. I love the e-newspaper in particular because it’s there when I get up early. ### 4/5 — Improved but still needs tweaking *2025-08-11, version 8.1.0* Overall I am pleased with the new app. Due to my poor eyesight, I use the option to have the articles read aloud to me. I do like the change in the app that skips over non article items when swiping to the next article. I do find however that sometimes, this option is not available on some features. As an example, in today’s herald tribune issue (08/11/2025) “ask Carolyn” is blank and will not read. This is not an everyday occurrence, but often enough to make note.
