## What is SARASTE?

SARASTE is a calm personal shift calendar for healthcare, emergency, industrial, and other rotating work. Open it and see whether you are working today, when the current shift ends, and when the next one starts.

Active shift status, remaining time, next shift, and a quiet 7-day outlook.

• 24-HOUR AND OVERNIGHT SHIFTS
24h duties (for example 08:00 to 08:00) and night shifts that cross midnight stay active after 00:00. Cross-day shifts continue visually on the calendar.

• ROTATION ENGINE
Repeating cycles such as 2 Day, 2 Night, 4 Off — or your own pattern. The calendar fills forward automatically.

• ONE-DAY CHANGES WITHOUT BREAKING THE CYCLE
Override a single day, then restore the pattern shift, or delete only that occurrence. Your rotation stays intact.

• WORK TIME SUMMARY
Hours, shift counts, and averages for this week, this month, or a custom period.

• SHARE WITH FAMILY, ON DEVICE
Export a .saraste schedule file and import it on another phone. See when you are free together. No family account and no cloud calendar connection.

• OPTIONAL LOCAL REMINDERS
Off by default. When you turn them on, SARASTE asks for notification permission and schedules reminders on this device only. There is no push server.

• PRIVATE AND OFFLINE
Schedules live in local SQLite. No ads, no analytics SDK, no Taipale account. Airplane mode works.

• OPTIONAL CALENDAR FILE
Export a standard .ics file and import it in the calendar app you choose. SARASTE does not connect to Apple Calendar or Google Calendar.
