I use it to navigate around a northern lake on my summer fishing trip and last summer it quit working while i was there. Not sure if this is possible but we have run across the groomer when out on the trail. It’s also nice to be able to see all the local amenities near the trails. And the best part the exact location for all the shelters as that has saved me on numerous occasions as my boy and I usually take a multi day trip once a year on the sleds and we use the shelters to make meals and a quick warm up. We have even stayed in the shelters overnight if there isn’t any motels in the area. My cell phone is mounted on the BRP extended cell storage compartment. It’s stored in a heated and powered compartment. Highly recommend this set up. No need to look up maps on the trails. Easy to see maps while riding. Look on the SSA trails website instead at least that shows what the trail status is. I would like to see the snow conditions on the site to plan rides I’m not sure if that is what the colours are for. But they say days. Is that feet or inches not sure. Would also like to see where Groomers are going or have been. Will comment again after we get back. I do like that the phone numbers are there to check if gas is available when leaving for the day.
