The chat function was zero help. Hope my flight experience will be better! ### 1/5 — The worst airline and app *2025-03-04, version 3.2.9* The worst airline and app. Portrays Portugal in a negative way. And the app asked me too much info on address and birthday, the calendar for birthday starts today and you have to click hundreds times to get to your birthday (like, really?) and after all the struggles “Unexpected error occurred” and account wasn’t created. They would be better not having an app at all - it does almost nothing, never works, exits randomly, login process is a PIA. Airline isn’t any better. As a public service announcement - if you are flying Azores / SATA, don’t bother with the app - worse than a waste of time! The only good thing is that you will hopefully land in the azores at some point which is a beautiful part of the world ### 1/5 — Boarding pass not showing up after check in *2024-09-13, version 3.1.12* I checked into my flight and went to access my boarding pass, but it won’t let me. It’s saying that I need to check in to access them, but I already have. ### 1/5 — Multiple people unable to create account *2024-09-12, version 3.1.12* A few of us tried to create an account and no one was successful. Every option turned on the app just says error with no explanation. Not really a good sign of a good product/ service if I were ever to be able to login ### 1/5 — The app is as bad as the airline *2024-08-13, version 3.1.12* Don’t expect this app to have any correct info. Flight was delayed 4 hours, still coming up as “on schedule”. Wasted a whole day in the airport when it all could have been avoided. You don’t even have the option to print it. A 3 year old could have done a better job developing an app. The airline itself is also a complete nightmare to deal with so please beware. Every time I enter the booking number it goes to a blank blue page!!!! ### 1/5 — Useless App *2024-06-04, version 3.1.12* This app is trash. First off, to make an account you have to enter your birthdate and you have to hit the back button by month until you hit your birth month and year. Super annoying. After logging in with the temporary password it is supposed to prompt you to create a new one. It doesn’t. I was able to check in on the website but I received no proof whatsoever that I checked in. No email, no texts, it doesn’t show up in the app. What a joke. Don’t even bother with this stupid useless app. ### 1/5 — Terrible app *2023-12-14, version 3.1.10* Did a 4 year old develop this app? ### 1/5 — Worse app and worse airline *2023-11-25, version 3.1.10* the app never allow you to log so unable to to do online check in via the apps and when doing check in at the counter my. They force you to check in Your carry on luggage’s even thought is under the right weight for carry-on and charge you $300 euro .. I have use the same carry-on luggage on multi different airlines and never have a issue.. I will never fly on this airline again ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Worst APP and AIRLINES *2026-07-15, version 3.3.8* The configuration of APP is cumbersome and extremely difficult to get any useful information. SATA Airlines continues to score below standards. I purchased first class seats - 4 hours before flight I got an email stating my flight was cancelled from JFK to PDL. After going around the moon to find someone to speak with, they clarified and told me my first class seats were sold to someone else for more money. This happened to my brother Retired USAF Colonel also flying with me. This is series of numerous incidents I have experienced with this airlines flying them for 20 years. Unfortunately it's the only airline that flies to where I am going. You try to scroll and it’ll randomly open fields to enter information. 10 minutes later I finally click create account, and it says “error creating account”. No information as to why, not showing anything missing or incorrectly filled out. Awful user experience. ### 1/5 — Cannot register *2026-02-08, version 3.3.4* Unable to register and is a must if you want to manage your flight ### 1/5 — Terrible *2025-12-01, version 3.3.2* This is the worst app I’ve ever used. The “Remember me” doesn’t work and I have to constantly login every week or two. The app won’t integrate with the website information: 1) If I made my reservation through the website, it NEVER comes up in the app and I have to manually update it; 2) at least 50% of the time I check in on the app, I have to reclaim my miles (I’m GoldSky, so that’s a lot of work on my end as I travel Azores Airlines a lot, and it happens about 25% of the time otherwise whether I book it myself or through a travel agent even when I’m not using the app, which is horrible customer service for its frequent fliers). Making reservations is very difficult. The app often doesn’t work if I have my VPN engaged, putting my phone at risk to disable the VPN to use the app. The UX is not intuitive and frustrating to use. I have complained to SATA directly about the app. Updates to the app are superficial at best. Looking forward to the Atlantic Connect Group takeover. There is tremendous productivity lost in terrible inefficiencies such as this app. ### 1/5 — Cannot register *2025-11-26, version 3.3.2* App installed fine, but unable to register - kept on asking for Country but would not accept Canada from pull down. CES vols n’apparaissent pas dans l’app, et quand j’essaye de les entrer manuellement je reçois l’avertissement qu’ils sont déjà inscrits.
