Yet another app with everything important behind a paywall

Don’t waste your time. You cannot align unless you pay

Wenn man fast fertig ist wird für den letzten Schritt Geld verlangt!

Es ist ja legitim für eine App Geld zu verlangen, aber diese App ist ohne In-App Kauf absolut nutzlos.

FAQ

What does SatCatcher do?

SatCatcher is a satellite finder and dish pointer application designed to simplify the process of installing and aligning satellite antennas. It uses augmented reality and your phone's GPS to guide you through the entire setup process, from choosing a satellite to fine-tuning the antenna's position.

What are the key features of SatCatcher?

Key features include displaying the target satellite in augmented reality to help you choose the antenna's location and avoid obstacles. It also uses your phone's GPS to show your location and the satellite's direction, a compass with sound assistance for orientation, and an accelerometer to verify the antenna support is vertical. The app also helps calculate polarization and set elevation.

Is SatCatcher free to use?

SatCatcher offers a free version, which is a lite version of the full application. Some advanced features like augmented reality and compass orientation are only available in the full, paid version of the app.

What are the compatibility requirements for SatCatcher?

For optimal functioning, SatCatcher requires access to your smartphone's camera, compass, gyroscope, accelerometer, and GPS. If your smartphone lacks GPS or a compass, the app provides alternative methods to assist you, such as manually moving a marker on a map or using an external compass.

How do I use SatCatcher to install a satellite dish?

The process involves choosing a satellite and authorizing geolocation to determine the antenna's direction. You then use augmented reality to visualize the satellite and ensure no obstacles are present. Next, check that the antenna support is vertical, calculate the LNB polarization, set the elevation, and use the visual and sound assistant for orientation and fine adjustments.
