I have no problem with ads, but including this kind of ad is unacceptable. The app store should not allow this kind of ad. I have no idea whether the phone is infected or not so uninstalled the app and rebooted. This is the app I settled on. It does the job, though the user interface feels sloppy (elements and text overlapping when they should not). Also, even though an option exists to pay and remove the ads, I feel like I am being forced to go down that route if I actually want to use the app. As of this writing, a full screen ad with video shows up every two minutes or so. The ad does not clear without intervention, which is a bad idea while one is driving! I wouldn't mind paying for the ad free version, if it didn't feel like I was being forced to do so. This would be great with minor UI improvements and a bit less/less intrusive advertising. ### 2/5 — Need less ads to evaluate app *2025-09-21* I get that paid vs ad is a balance.
