### 4/5 — So far so good

*2023-04-12*

I had been aware of this app for possibly a few years, but never got the time to reading some of the stuff it had before until recently. Series like Apple Black or Clock Striker are my favorite series to read, including a few others on this app, so I recommend anyone who interested with these kind stories.

### 5/5 — Lots of great manga

*2023-04-02, version 5.1.0*

The Saturday AM app is awesome for reading many different types of manga. The stories and characters are unique and amazing.

### 5/5 — Jmart

*2022-12-25, version 5.1.0*

Love it ✊🏿

### 5/5 — Amazing diverse titles by talented artists

*2022-11-13, version 5.1.0*

One of a kind in the world of manga seriously.

### 4/5 — Good, just not great.

*2022-11-13, version 5.1.0*

They let you read a decent amount for free and what they present in the free content is pretty captivating. So much so, that I went ahead and bought the subscription. Which was also very affordable ($2.99/month). One series that caught my attention the most was Clock Striker. I couldn’t wait to indulge in the best 3 bucks I’ve ever spent and binge read Clock Striker. Only thing, and this is where what could’ve easily been 5 stars became 4. It was hard as balls to read it in chronological order! It was difficult to find out which week it started at, which mags it wasn’t in, and if I type “Clock Striker” in the search bar, I’d expect for Clock striker from first appearance all the way till last to pop up. Not “no results found”. Big turn off for me. A series that caught my eye more than the others I have to learn a da Vinci code to read it from start to finish which ultimately is a -1 star for me. Good app, just not great

### 5/5 — Amazing App

*2022-08-28, version 5.1.0*

The diversity of the app is pretty awesome, functions as planned and easy to use.

### 5/5 — Great App!

*2022-08-01*

I love this app. It’s generous and allows users to read for free up to a certain point, and subscriptions are so affordable so there’s no reason to not try it out.

One suggestion I have is to also create a new “Series” category so people can easily find the series they’re looking for. For example, under the “Series” category, there can be “Clock Striker,” “Apple Black,” and many others so we can follow the chapters of specific series.

Love what you guys do. Keep it up!!!

### 5/5 — REVOLUTIONARY!!

*2022-07-29*

After decades of pink lipped characters and endless online debates, marginalized communities finally have a place to see themselves in manga. I love this for us as a human race and I can't WAIT to see the brilliance to come out of this necessary and right-on-time magazine

### 4/5 — Great Content, but App needs a few upgrades

*2022-06-23, version 5.1.0*

Saturday AM is without a doubt one of the best comics anthologies out there, but the content is hampered by an app, that while pretty damn functional, needs a few feature improvements and UX touches to bring it up to snuff. All in all it’s still a good experience reading all of the wonderful stories in these anthologies, but the app needs a good bit of polish.

### 5/5 — Thoughts

### 5/5 — Great comics, Great people!

*2022-04-15, version 5.1.0*

10/10

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — I won’t pickers of caricters

*2022-12-31, version 5.1.0*

I hat this

### 1/5 — awful!

*2021-12-13, version 5.1.0*

you cant read anything. all the comics are bad and boring, wannabe shonen.

### 2/5 — User interface

*2023-10-18*

This user interface is terrible. I can’t choose which chapter I’m reading, where are my favourite manga that I would like to keep on hand. Why can’t I find the chapters I want to read. Is there an option to scroll instead of swipe?? I’m happy to support but once I opened the app I closed it because it was confusion. You guys need a revamp ASAP

### 2/5 — What am I doing wrong?

*2021-03-20*

I’ve tried many times to read the first issues with the apps monthly subscription but unable to find them. Contacted them but haven’t heard back about a refund for the gum road version since I bought the app but can’t get help from anyone. I’ve emailed 3 times over a week and still waiting.

### 3/5 — It’s Alright

*2026-04-04*

All and all an okay app a a reasonable price. Decided to download after binging their print series. However the interface is a little confusing and not instinctual at all. Took a while to figure out you couldn’t check out any individual series, even when you use the search function. Not even to find synopses. You still pay for individual volumes when subscribed, which is fair, but it seems very limited compared to what they advertise. The app will also glitch, showing you their new digital only selection, but nothing happens when tapped. If you do get into reading a selection, you can’t actually exit, and the app crashes. All and all it could use some work.

### 3/5 — This app gone dead

*2026-01-20, version 5.1.0*

This app appears to have gone dead

### 3/5 — Recommendation

*2022-12-12, version 5.1.0*

I recommend doing 3 of the latest chapters for free and 3 of the first chapters for free just like viz and mangaplus

### 4/5 — Pretty good

*2026-03-05, version 5.4.1*

I wish that they had more manga to choose from. Most of the books I see require payments or memberships, but the free ones are nice. (I like Gun Bone the best)

### 4/5 — Great experience but not without flaws

*2025-02-28*

The paid subscription experience is the way to go. It is the best way to read all the back catalogue as well as enjoy the newest releases. Price point is great too. $20 for the year is truly not much and if you want to support upcoming artists that are paving the way for OEL in this age with diverse messaging and characters then you found the right app. The navigation works good and touch feedback to browse titles is rightly functional. A drawback is within the page turn inside a book. Rather it might match the comic book page flip, but can sometimes take me out of the digital manga reading experience.(Just my opinion doesn’t have to change.) The bookmark feature is great too cause when reading the early versions of Hammer or Saigami there is a lot of information packed on a page and you want to stop, put the phone down, then pick it back up due to the horror vacui. But the info is necessary for the title and stories and they arent perfect —They’re done and published and out to be shown to the world.

Which leaves the best for last, the story telling and stories themselves. No spoilers here, just stick with them they are good. Follow the artists on social media too. Continue to engage with them and their work that’s how fandoms build and titles market share grow.

### 4/5 — Fun and enjoyable app

*2023-08-16, version 5.1.0*

The app is well made yet easy to use, compared to other comic/manga apps this standard is not common like it should be.

### 5/5 — JUST WOW!!!!

*2023-11-01*

I’ve been watching anime ( we didn’t know what it was called back then) since I was 6 years old with Speed Racer. The diversity at Saturday AM had me speechless! So many great characters from the African Diaspora and places of People of Color; I am just proud and sad that I didn’t know about it sooner! No big bulging eyes or oval, red lips, among other things! The work that these artist are doing is beyond words! This makes me love anime even more than I did before! Thank y’all so much✨💜
