In the heart of Africa lies a paradise of incomparable beauty. These endless expanses are home to the continent’s largest land animals and present the visitor with breathtaking views. You are rangers, each running your own wildlife park in this beautiful part of the world. Help your animals to gather with others of their kind in the largest herds possible by moving them to new spaces. Secure precious watering holes that increase your park’s value and protect against bush fires. The more shady trees and lush grass in your park the better, too. Once all animals have been moved, the game ends with a scoring round. The ranger with the most points wins.

### 4/5 — Too small for phone

There is nothing wrong with how this game plays, it’s perfectly done in every respect. However, on a phone screen the tile icons are just too small, some of them I can’t tell which animals are on the tile because they are so tiny. 

To the developer, I suggest making the board bigger for phones. There is enough blank space around the board to do this. Making the board (and thus tiles) bigger would make this app playable on a phone. Right now, it’s too small, so I deleted it. 

So my recommendation is, if you have an iPad, this app is perfect. If you’re thinking of playing on your phone, however, it will be too small and you’ll need a magnifying glass. Good game otherwise, though, and good price.

The game is well presented, has a clean and straight forward interface. You can play solo mode (like solitaire) or two player face to face. I really wish it had an AI for the two player mode.

### 4/5 — Schönes Spiel, fehlen nur KI Mitspieler

Savannah Park ist ein schönes, schnelles Plättchen-Umlegespiel, das ein wenig an Take it easy erinnert. Die Umsetzung ist an sich gut, aber ich vermisse Computergegner und man kann nicht online spielen (weder in Echtzeit, noch rundenbasiert). Im Solo-Modus spielt man alleine, d.h. man bestimmt immer selber, welches Plättchen als nächstes umgelegt wird. Im 2-Spieler-Modus werden die Spieltafeln beider Spieler im Split-Screen gleichzeitig angezeigt, man kann NICHT an zwei iPads gegeneinander spielen.

Im Solo-Modus wird während des Spiel dauerhaft eine detaillierte Wertung eingeblendet. Das ist besser als in der ersten Version der App, wo die Wertung nur am Ende als Gesamtpunktzahl angezeigt wurde. Während des laufenden Spiels nimmt die Wertung aber relativ viel Platz ein und lässt sich nicht optional ausblenden. Auch hat mich der großflächige helle Hintergrund der Wertungskästchen anfangs geblendet und vom Spielfeld abgelenkt, das hat sich aber nach ein paar Runden gegeben. Die Wertungsanzeige mit einer Wischgeste ein-ausblenden zu können, wäre mein Wunsch für eine der  nächsten Versionen der App.

Was ich mir auch noch wünschen würde: den letzten Zug rückgängig zu machen. Schnell ist es passiert, dass man sich das falsche Plättchen greift und nicht mehr zurücklegen kann. Oder man klickt das Plättchen nur schnell an und legt es dadurch auf eines der direkt angrenzenden Felder, obwohl man es ganz woanders hinlegen wollte.

Inzwischen hat der Entwickler zwei Updates veröffentlicht, mit denen Fehler der ersten Version behoben hat. Finde ich klasse, dass der Entwickler auch auf Kritik eingegangen ist und sogar weitere Spielbretter für mehr Varianz / neue Herausforderungen hinzugefügt hat. Vielleicht kommt ja zumindest noch ein KI Gegner für den 2-Spieler-Modus; im Solo-Modus fehlt mir halt die Überraschung, was der Mitspieler macht.

Man hat keinen Einfluss darauf, wo ein gewähltes Plättchen hingelegt wird. So kann es nicht gedacht sein.

Beim Anklicken der Plättchen werden diese sehr oft einfach nur auf ein Nachbarfeld umgedreht. Und da es keine „Rückgängig“-Funktion gibt, hat man keine Möglichkeit, das zu korrigieren…. 
Macht leider gar keinen Spaß.
Zur Wertung kann ich noch nichts sagen - so weit bin ich aus Frustration nicht gekommen…. 😒

### 3/5 — Tolles Spiel - gerne App noch überarbeiten 😊

Auch ich würde mir eine nachvollziehbare „Punktevergabe“ wünschen. Aktuell schließt man quasi das Spiel und bekommt dann die erreichte Punktzahl angezeigt. Wie das Ergebnis sich zusammensetzt wird nicht angezeigt. Besser wäre, wenn z.B. eine Auflistung o.ä. das Ergebnis transparenter und nachvollziehbarer  machen könnte. 
Ansonsten gefällt mir die App schon recht gut 😊
