Most of the other apps do the conversions fully automatically, but rarely get it right. This one has a very clunky and slow interface. Not particularly user-friendly, BUT since it lets me control settings for margins and size, and then lets me preview the results, I can tweak things to make the PDF look right. The whole point is to get a useable PDF. From there I can export to an app such as PDF Expert to fill fields, sign, email, edit, or whatever. ### 4/5 — Awesome *2024-06-08, version 3.1.1* Awesome - this app is so easy to use ### 2/5 — Print web pages *2023-05-10, version 3.1* New update. I purchased this long time ago, now they deleted this app from iPhone App Store and charge again, calling this “for iPhone” Where is Restore my previous purchase? Like the latest versions, works as advertised. Used to print right from Safari, now only when you load the web page to Save2pdf internal browser. Apparently this is Apple issue, so all other PDF printers have this same issue. Internal browser works most of the time except if the page loaded in Safari has data attached to it (such as when you make an online payment and want to save the page to PDF), loading in the internal browser does not generate the same page. I will give it 5 stars once this function is back. Newest edition working 100%! ### 4/5 — Update *2019-05-03, version 2.8.1* Latest updates made this app easier to use! ### 5/5 — Best PDF Converter *2019-03-18* Of the PDF converters I have used, this one consistently produces the best results—a USEABLE, properly formatted, and PROFESSIONAL-LOOKING PDF. Since that is the point of the app, I give it 5 stars. But, keep reading—I have a few words for the app developers. PROS - Results. Not always perfect, but better than other conversion apps I have tried. (Readdle, are you listening? You need to up your conversion game!) The available adjustments to margin and zoom really help produce a good-looking document. It does well with spreadsheets, too, which other apps seem to choke on. TIP - Sometimes the formatting of a particular line just doesn’t come out no matter what I do. I highly recommend getting a PDF editor for those tiny tweaks—my big favorite is PDF Expert by Readdle. CONS - The user interface is clunky. Not intuitive, and some of the buttons don’t respond as they should. It takes some playing around to figure out how things work, sometimes a few attempts with different settings. Could really use some rework. Also, I really don’t care for the glowing, pre-written “suggested” 5-star review. User reviews are not the place for canned advertisements. SO, some complaints, why 5 stars? Not user-friendly, but in the end, PDF Converter is one of my essentials because it lets me produce professional documents on my iPad, ready to send to clients. It’s worth every penny (compare it to the price of the laptop you might otherwise need to produce PDFs!) ### 3/5 — 为什么中文全是乱码呢？？ *2019-01-16, version 2.8* 中文全是乱码！ ### 5/5 — Save2PDF great "work" tool *2018-10-31, version 2.8* Works well and makes the iPad just that much more like a "work" computer. Went looking to see if I could get a .pdf printer to save it to a file. This one looked to be the best. It installed perfectly and immediately showed up as an option when I clicked Share on the webpage. But when I saved it and looked at it, it only saved the first 9 pages. And what was saved was NOT what was on the screen! I suspect it’s something the web page developer has done, but regardless, this app should be printing what I see, not what the web page thinks they should print. Does not work. *2017-01-02, version 2.6.1* I bought Save2PDF to save an Amazon return label to PDF. I clicked Save2PDF from the web page showing the return label. The only thing it would save to PDF is an Amazon login screen, not the current web page. I tried to print other web pages and the formatting is completely off and the PDF produced useless. It does not work. Save your money. I do not recommend buying the Save2PDF app. ### 1/5 — Always Memory Error *2016-09-16, version 2.5* Keeps getting memory error. Once got it to save first page of a website. But, gets "memory error" every time I try using it from other apps. Not usable on my iPad Air 2 until this gets fixed. ### 1/5 — Older versions could annotate, ..this opens WritePDF instead *2016-09-08, version 2.5* Older versions of Save2PDF (before v2.3) could also annotate, but the newer versions open WritePDF App instead, if it's also on the same iDevice (in my case iPad 2) That's sneaky..! What's going on developer?!? I opened Save2PDF ...not to have it open WritePDF as well...when I click the 'edit' button in Save2PDF..! I'm sure if people didn't have WritePDF, that Save2PDF would have some editing routines within itself...right? I remember it did, before I installed WritePDF. The older versions of Save2PDF had quite-a-few editing routines for the PDF it created, or opened, so why now remove them just because WritePDF is also installed?!? (What's up with that?) There's also some kind of BUG with the iCloud syncing, where it creates a duplicate file name when the same iCloud list is accessed by both Apps, either at the same time, or one after the other App, that creates a 're-naming' of the second file (adding the number 2 at the end of the original name) with usually zero(0) bytes of size. Thing is, it doesn't always happen...but it does happen, often enough ...to be annoying. I've told the developer, but always either got an excuse, or just ignored. So the claims of 'helpful developer' reviews are a bit over-stated. Watch me get BANNED (again) from their support site now, for just being honest, like they did with WritePDF App. (And ..NO.. I never was nasty to them. In fact, I was very helpful, sending bug reports and crash-logs...all the time) I guess they got too many from me, and also didn't like my reviews...because I can't review WritePDF any longer either..! The review doesn't go thru anymore, about the same time my eMail address got banned. They didn't send a confirmation eMail to me that I requested support with WritePDF, like I used to get, and they also never reply now, if I use that same original eMail address. I tested this out by actually using another eMail address, and the confirmation eMail went out to me, and they replied..! How 'bout that..huh?!? Nothing server related...just prejudice from them. I asked them why they banned my other eMail address, but they just avoided the question. That's nasty of them, if you ask me..! So...I just stopped helping them...and I found another BUG in newer versions of WritePDF too, that hasn't been fixed yet in any of the latest versions either. :-) I told them about it...and they asked me to send them a crash report log...but I told them 'WHY SHOULD I , when you banned my other eMail address'. So...this was funny...they didn't want my help, and banned my other eMail address, but they still want me to waste my time with them helping them fix this latest issue they couldn't find, without a crash-report from me. Hey...Euro-Smurf ...I told you how it happened on my iPad 2, so duplicate those actions...! I BAN *YOU* now. I don't work for you any longer...for FREE...! Bit of a sticky wicket...huh...? Insult your customers...then ask for their help again, without any apology from you..!?! Ha Ha Ha...I don't think so..! Bye...EuroNerds ### 1/5 — Completely doesn't work since update *2016-03-14, version 2.4* I have had this app for awhile now and when I updated it it completely stopped working. Now the only way to download my work PDF's is to use my laptop. The whole point of me getting this app was so that I wouldn't have to constantly use my laptop for the simple things like converting a PDF while on the go!! I have tried emailing them but to no avail. To other users: if you resent the subscription model as much as I do (or just have too many already), the fact that it isn't is a good reason alone to get Save2Pdf. They also do not save any of your info; it's fully private.
