### 5/5 — It’s a great app!

*2017-12-05, version 1.13.7*

Very easy to use whether importing or adding manually. This app is now my recipe repository, I use it daily.

### 5/5 — SavouryPot

*2017-11-06, version 1.13.7*

This is most likely the best app I own!

### 5/5 — Brilliant app! Must have if you use recipes online!!

*2017-03-18, version 1.13.7*

This app is so brilliant I had to buy it for all my friends and family members who cook and use any recipes online. It is the easiest way to bring a recipe from a website into an app that stores it. VERY Easy to use! Only one wish is that I could have separate folders or cookbooks.....and store things in separate areas. I craft my own lotions and creams and have recipes for these things as well and wish that I could have a separate area for them and a separate area for my food recipes. I did email a few years ago to ask for this but have yet to see this added but it would make a phenomenal addition to this terrific app. Well worth the money. Don't hesitate. I use it at least daily! Or anytime I cook!!!

### 4/5 — Very useful, and easy to use.

*2017-03-15, version 1.13.7*

I would like to recommend SavouryPot. It takes advantage of the computer platform to enhance its basic function of a recipe book. I particularly like the companion shopping list app, scaling, strike through, and cook timer functions. Together, these answer most of the cook's needs when preparing a recipe.

A second app SavouryList, integrates a shopping list and this app writes to it when you decide to shop for a recipe. I particularly like being able to use an iPad when selecting a recipe. When you select the shop option it's ingredients appear in SavouryList. I can then use my SavouryList on my iPhone when shopping to remind me of the items I need.

The scaling function is particularly useful for me as I only cook for one. I can thus get SavouryPot to change the quantities for a single person. You can scale recipes for up to a maximum of 16 servings, which hopefully is enough for most people.

I find the strike though capability very useful. When preparing a recipe, if you tap each step in the recipe as you do it. The step's font becomes bold and the font of the previous steps are reduced in size. As ingredients are used, if you tap it, it is struck through and it's font size is reduced. This is also the case in the SavouryList app. You can thus seen exactly where you are in the preparation of a recipe or the shopping.

Cooking times are an integral part of a recipe, SavouryPot identifies these and integrates a timer into the recipe. You tap the time in the recipe and the timer starts.

Unlike many other recipe apps, this only comes with a few recipes, adding recipes is straight forward though. You can download them from a large and getting larger number of websites. SavouryPot makes a very good attempt at parsing the details. The recipe might require some editing, but that is considerably less time consuming than typing it in manually. Not that that is necessary, I have had success, dictating my recipes to the app.

I am giving it 4 stars, I would have like to give it 5 stars, but there are features missing and there are areas that could do with improvement. There is no search function, so you cannot look in the cupboard, see what you have and then search for a recipe that uses those ingredients. I find the user interface to be basic. It is difficult to know what needs to be improved, but in my opinion, it needs more pizzazz. As someone who is overweight, watching the calories is part of life, SavouryPot does not include this information. None of these flaws is critical though. I am happy to recommend SavouryPot and SavouryList.

### 5/5 — So handy

*2017-01-01, version 1.13.6*

Love this app. Easy to use. Occasional problems with imports, but easy to manually input recipes.

### 5/5 — Best Recipe App!!!

*2016-12-18*

This app has everything you want:
A easy to use and yet beautiful interface.
A Safari Extension
No Ads
A import function
iCloud Sync

@devs: Thank you so much for it!

### 5/5 — Ralphie

*2016-10-10, version 1.13.5*

Awesome easy to use, have used others this beats them hands down! Issues quickly solved

### 5/5 — Brilliant

*2016-09-18, version 1.13.2*

So easy to use for both Internet and own recipes, best part being you can even edit and make notes of any changes. Just recommended it to dd who has filled it with all the recipes she had saved over the years. Well worth the money, that's something you can't say about a lot of apps. It's very rare for me to give 5 stars.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2016-09-18, version 1.13.2*

Very easy to use.

### 5/5 — The Best App EVER

*2016-08-05, version 1.13.2*

For saving recipes from your favourite food sites and other web pages. I just LOVE it.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Loser

*2025-02-20*

Lost almost all my recipes had to spend oodles of time finding them on the web and loading to Paprika, great app.

### 1/5 — It used to be perfect

*2018-05-25, version 1.13.7*

Thé photo of recipes are not there, the recipe itself is blank. Fixe it or I will change for a better site

### 1/5 — Utter waste of money - can’t give zero stars

*2018-02-27, version 1.13.7*

Import from web did not work. Edit recipe did not work. Scale did not work. Apple should quality check these things before they charge for them. Seriously annoyed and feeling ripped off.

### 2/5 — Used to work

*2020-11-04*

This has been my go to ap for awhile. All of the sudden all imports fail. Have sent multiple emails to the developer for the report link... all returned saying no such address. Now have lost many favorites.

### 2/5 — Text not scanned properly

*2019-04-03, version 1.13.7*

This app doesn’t scan properly all the words are misspelled can’t understand a thing

### 2/5 — Latest update crashes on my iPhone.

*2016-09-24*

Can't open the app even after deleting it and redownloading it.

### 4/5 — Best recipe app

*2021-08-19, version 1.13.7*

Best app for saving recipes. It would be even better if it was available for Mac.

### 4/5 — Impossible to share the recipe database!

*2020-06-04, version 1.13.7*

I love using this app for my recipes but I also need to share the database with the other members of the household. Today it is impossible to do just that!

### 4/5 — Great App

*2018-11-18, version 1.13.7*

Great app for transporting in recipes when the website is about to close their recipe box option (as happened to me). I appreciated being able to move my recipes in before I lost them.

I don’t need to sort my recipes by category. I prefer one main list and would like to be able to re-sort by name. If that was an option this would be a 5 star app.

### 4/5 — Great app but could use some tweaks

*2017-07-25, version 1.13.7*

Occasional problem with editing recipes when trying to scroll the page.

Also would be nice if you could share Savoury Pot recipes with other users through AirDrop.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app

*2025-02-09, version 1.13.7*

I store my best recipes on this app. Some from online sources and some of my own. The only minor issues are with editing - some glitches and also with organizing. As my collection grows, I would like a folder system, not just tags.

### 5/5 — The best one I found

*2024-03-25, version 1.13.7*

Adding new recipes is super easy through sharing and adding your own recipes you collected over the years is also super easy. The screen stays on during cooking/baking which makes it convenient

### 5/5 — Best app I have

*2023-06-21, version 1.13.7*

Still a great app, pity it is not being updated.
Love this app, last update did not work, and within 24 hours the developer has fixed it. Cannot recommend this app or developer highly enough. Purchase it you will love it!

### 5/5 — SavouryPot

*2022-12-04, version 1.13.7*

It is the best app I have ever downloaded. I have recommended it to many friends who also like it. Thank you SavouryPot 👍👍👍👍👍👍

### 5/5 — Great recipe app

*2022-08-04*

I love saving recipes in this app. It’s super easy & convenient & I always have the recipe with when I go shopping.

### 5/5 — Recipe Roundup

*2020-04-26*

I bought this APP several years ago and I love it! I have digitized all my recipes from mama/grandma/sister etc. I always have my recipes with me whenever I’m shopping or if someone asks for a recipe. I recommend it to everyone.

### 5/5 — SavouryPot is the best!

*2019-05-20, version 1.13.7*

The only app that lets you import recipes from anywhere. Sometimes it gets the words wrong in a scan, but who cares. I use the scan as the photo and I always have the recipe.
The iPad version needs an update, though.

### 5/5 — My recipe book for everything.

*2019-03-31*

This app is great I have imported all my personal recipes into it and use it exclusively.

The feature to add online recipes to it is magic. I amazes me how it takes 6 pages of fluff off a food blog and transforms it into an easy to understand recipe.

### 5/5 — Love this app.

*2018-12-18, version 1.13.7*

Great app. Does exactly what it is suppose to do. Plus back up to my iCloud. Love it.

### 5/5 — The best recipe app. Period.

*2018-01-25*

Don’t know why this app has so few reviews. Unfortunately, this makes it easy to not pay attention to this app. But pay attention you must. For a fraction of the price other apps charge (and look! No subscription!), this app does more than most of the other recipe apps.

And it’s slick, easy to use, easy to import recipes from anywhere on the Internet. I just love it,
