### 2/5 — Premium not accessible

*2026-08-25, version 2.2.23502*

Purchased via iPhone. Worked. Spent over 5 hours attempting to add onto iPad mini (both ios 26.6.1). Seems to force UK version. Not an issue with linking to macbook air. Last contact with company "seems like a glitch". Perhaps they will get back to me& I will update. But paying $129 for one year & not being able to use these essential features on the device at the helm is a bit infuriating.

### 4/5 — Has everything you could need

*2026-08-25, version 2.2.23502*

Great first couple trips with this software. Great weather maps included, point of sail suggestions are great and generally easy to use.

### 2/5 — Mostly

*2026-07-24, version 2.2.22965*

It’s great when it works but can be unstable it’s annoying

### 2/5 — Not the Google Maps of Boating

*2026-07-16, version 2.2.22869*

The app lacks information, is not intuitive, and is overall lacking for a boating navigation tool. I subscribed to the premium subscription and regret paying for it. I have contacted support twice and they are not helpful. I recently asked about depth measurements for Moosehead Lake in Maine and was curtly informed they don’t have depth measurements for the lake. It’s the largest lake in the Northeast.

### 1/5 — Location is not accurate

*2026-07-09, version 2.2.22798*

Current location is showing 200 meter which is showing I am on road while I am in the see

### 2/5 — Numerous errors

*2026-06-29, version 2.2.22371*

We are new to boating world and really had high hopes for SV. The positives - very quick & easy to check wind, waves & tides. However, we are finding directions over land, ignoring recommended CTS, taking us through difficult waters that should be avoided, wrong side of cardinals & buoys & substantially incorrect distance and times. Other times it can show a perfect route, making the inconsistency more treacherous. We have fedback several times and been assured our issues are being addressed (“moved to latest algorithm”) but the issues keep coming. We expected this to be a modern replacement for old fashioned paper charts but we have to check everything with Chat GPT & Gemini first. It could be excellent, but it isn’t. Beware!

### 1/5 — Data collection

*2026-06-20, version 2.2.22330*

This app tells you they are collecting any purchases you do on the device. All your searches & the data that goes with that. And there’s so much more. Why can’t we buy a service or device/app & it doesn’t take your location for another reason than to tell you where you are. I’m very disappointed that something as simple as a satnav would need to know what purchases I do on my phone. This is an overreach. And potentially something more than nefarious I personally feel.

### 1/5 — 3 days free…

*2026-05-20, version 2.2.21856*

Pay after

### 1/5 — Unstable on iPad

*2026-05-15, version 2.2.21856*

The title says it all. I create a route, select start and the App crashes, Up to that point it all looked very promising. I like the chart display.

### 3/5 — Great app…when it works

*2026-05-08, version 2.2.21790*

The app is easy to use and I love it…when it works. I wouldn’t pay for the app because it crashes constantly (I have an iPhone 15) so not reliable. I can’t trust the app will stay on! Thus morning I have been 35 min trying to get app to stay on without crashing. Frustrating, good thing I am not relying on this app to navigate!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Useless unless you pay

*2026-09-11, version 2.2.23631*

$123 a year is stupid. If you want to charge that much you need to get on salt strings level of detail and value. Yes they have a free version but like the other reviews said the app is useless unless they have your card info. There are no contour lines at all for free and you can’t even get a satellite view for free might as well just use Google Maps. And there are no pricing details posted anywhere in the App Store so you don’t know what you are paying until you download and are forced to make a decision before even getting to look at what you are spending money on. Complete garbage

### 1/5 — Abbuchung von Visa Karte trotz Kündigung

*2026-08-27*

### 1/5 — Beware of trial!!!!!

*2026-08-26, version 2.2.23502*

I downloaded this app to help me navigate lakes in Canada. The app did not provide the adequate maps that I needed over the trial. Period I was charged a full year of usage at the end of the third day. When I contacted the company immediately afterwards, telling them that the app did not provide the navigation maps I needed. I heard nothing back. Stay away from the three day trial as you will be charged a full year of usage.

### 1/5 — Scam!

*2026-08-21, version 2.2.23360*

I signed up for a 14 day trial - the app even said to set a reminder after 12 days. It was in fact only 3 days so they took £59 from my account. Very deceiving.

### 1/5 — Viel zu teuer

*2026-08-16*

Die Preise sind mir viel zu hoch.

**Developer response:** Vielen Dank, dass Sie sich die App angesehen haben. Es tut uns leid, dass Ihnen unsere Preisstruktur nicht zusagt. David

### 1/5 — Hidden paid service

*2026-08-13, version 2.2.23360*

The app shows up first in search for 'free sea navigation app'. The app is in fact not free. False advertising, not even freemium.

### 1/5 — Hard to see plot

*2026-08-06, version 2.2.23082*

The navigation makes no sense since I can’t see my plot destination in real time I have to keep stopping and moving the screen to see where I’m at

### 1/5 — Scammy phishy is a more fitting name

*2026-07-30, version 2.2.22965*

Signed up for the 3 day free trail. Only lets you create routes from your current location and never sends email or other confirmation of trial or when you cancel. Contacting their support is beyond sketchy as they ask for your email and other contact info to sell.

### 1/5 — Don’t bother

*2026-07-16, version 2.2.22869*

This is a big disappointment for me. I don’t know why they don’t tell you this before you download the app, but the app is worthless without giving your credit card first. To be able to use the app at all you have to give your credit card first and it gives you a three day free trial before it charges your credit card. Deleted app immediately.

App should be transparent, and I would tell people before they download the app exactly what to expect. I would let you try it for a week at minimum so that if you download the app during the early work week, you can at least make it to the weekend to get out on the water at least and try this app out.

### 1/5 — Enjoy the navigation

*2026-07-15, version 2.2.22869*

Don’t like that there is very, very limited information about the ground I’m covering. More names. Nothing comes up when I search a place and when I hover over a spot that should be my destination. Very limited information.. needs more not less

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Capt Tom

*2026-09-07, version 2.2.23631*

### 5/5 — Great App

*2026-08-10, version 2.2.23082*

Wonderful app and very helpful. Clear lines, and VERY easy to see if you are on track. Great for lakes that are tricky or have lots of little islands, and secluded areas.

### 5/5 — La mejor manera de navegar

*2026-07-27, version 2.2.22965*

Es muy fácil y segura la aplicación

### 5/5 — New Boaters lifeline

*2026-07-27, version 2.2.22965*

As a new boater this app has saved me from getting into the shallows dozens of times. Once you put in your boat specs it will auto route to keep you in the deep water. Destinations and routes are SO much easier than trying to program my Simrad. Love being able to set waypoints and create safe routes from home anytime. 5 stars for that. Also, if you’re away and renting a boat in unfamiliar waters, this app goes with you!
Improvement I would suggest. My vessel draws 30” of water. When routing destinations this app will always keep you in the channels, however my routes can be significantly shorter and save time and fuel by going a more direct route, say by going through 5-6 ft of water. Why keep you in 12-15 ft of water when 4 or 5 would suffice? I thought that was the purpose of putting in your boats specs.
Otherwise a real handy tool.

### 5/5 — Make life easy

*2026-07-03, version 2.2.22700*

Been using this app for a while now. It is so simple to use 3d graphics ride and weather info course plotting offline charts its all there.

### 5/5 — Much better than INav X

*2026-05-18, version 2.2.21856*

Davy Navy is to INavX what an Apple notebook is to a PC

Much better interface than INavX which is really bad interface and charting availability’s

### 5/5 — Dan wells lifeboat helm

*2026-05-18, version 2.2.21856*

The app is brilliant and simple to use making it a breeze for safe navigation

### 5/5 — Highly recommended.

*2026-05-11, version 2.2.21856*

I have been using Savvy Navvy for a while now and continue to be impressed. It’s easy to use and new features are being added or improved regularly. Comparing this to similar apps out there, it is very good value and is always my go-to app for navigation.
