## What is Sayner?

Sayner is a private keepsake for the people who share a place.

Built for one family's lake house in the Northwoods of Wisconsin, Sayner keeps the photos, videos, and stories of a place across the years — so the memories outlast any single season, and the next generation can see what it was like.

• A shared feed of memories, in order, by year
• Photos and videos, organized into buckets like "Lake Life," "Renovation," or "4th of July"
• Add your own take to any memory — everyone's voice, kept together
• Track every visit and see who's spent the most days at the lake
• Private by invitation only — nothing is public, ever

No ads. No algorithms. No likes. Just the memories your family keeps.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.7 — 2026-08-08

• Tag family in a memory and they'll get a notification — tap it to jump straight to the post and add your own photos
• All-new photo viewer: smooth zooming, swipe down to close, and photos open instantly — even offline
• Photos tab is now organized by year
• Pinch the feed to see whole years at a glance
• Videos play automatically (muted — tap the speaker for sound)
• Fixed a bug where tapping a photo occasionally opened the wrong one

### 1.6 — 2026-07-31

• Photos are now organized by when they were taken, not when they were uploaded — old memories land in the right year.
• Buckets got a big upgrade: browse them as a gallery, reorder them your way, rename them, and add photos straight into one.
• Search now suggests people and buckets as you type — tap to filter, stack filters together.
• The People tab shows faces, finds far more people in group photos, and fills in missed tags when you rescan.
• Your entire archive is now viewable offline — every photo is kept on your phone at browsing quality.
• Smoother photo swiping, better-fitting photos in the feed, and many fixes under the hood.

### 1.5 — 2026-07-30

• Buckets now have their own view — see every bucket with its cover and count, and tap straight in.
• Invite family with a single link that carries the house code, so joining takes one tap.
• Add a visit right from the feed's + button.
• Smoother swiping between photos, and posts now fit each photo properly instead of cropping to the first one.

### 1.4 — 2026-07-29

• People: Sayner can now find faces in your photos and group them, so you can see everything with a person in it. Faces are analyzed only on your iPhone.
• Profile pictures — your photo now appears on everything you post.
• Tell your story out loud: talk, and your iPhone writes it down and tidies it up.
• Share a post or photo with a link that opens right where you sent it.
• Find and hide look-alike photos, and skip ones already in the archive.
• Select many photos at once to save at full quality or add to a bucket.
• Write entries with no signal — they upload themselves when you're back in range.

### 1.3 — 2026-07-28

• Get a notification when someone adds a new memory or logs a visit
• The whole archive now works offline — photos are saved to your phone automatically on Wi-Fi
