## What is SBB Preview?

SBB Preview — always be among the first to test the latest features.

Important: SBB Preview is the preview version of the SBB Mobile app. We are using SBB Preview to test new and innovative functions and features which we want to include in the SBB Mobile app in future. 

The basic functions for timetable enquiries – and for ticket purchases – for journeys anywhere in Switzerland are the same in SBB Preview as in SBB Mobile. We’ve kept the Preview app in grey to make it easier to distinguish.

The heart of the app is the new navigation bar with the following menu points and contents: 

Plan: 
• Plan your journey with a simple timetable request via the touch timetable or use your current position as the origin or destination, locating it on the map. 
• Buy your ticket for the whole of Switzerland in just two clicks. Your travelcards on your SwissPass are applied.
• Travel particularly affordably with supersaver tickets or Saver Day Passes.

Trips: 
• When purchasing tickets, your journey will be saved in the ‘Journeys’ tab.
• Even if you don’t buy a ticket, you can save your journey manually in the timetable.
• The app accompanies you from door to door as you travel and you will receive information about delays, disruption and interchange times via push notification.

EasyRide:
• Check in, get on and set off – across the entire GA Travelcard network.
• EasyRide calculates the right ticket for your journey on the basis of the routes you travelled on and charges you the relevant amount subsequently.

Tickets and travelcards: 
• Show your public transport travelcards digitally with SwissPass Mobile.
• It also gives you an overview of your valid and expired tickets and travelcards on the SwissPass.

Data security and authorisations.
Why does SBB Preview need permissions?

Location:
For connections starting from a current location, the GPS function has to be activated so that SBB Preview can find the nearest stop. This also applies if you want to have the nearest stop displayed in the timetable.

Calendar and e-mail:
You can save connections in your own calendar and send them by e-mail (to friends, an external calendar). SBB Preview requires read and write permissions to be able to import your desired connection into the calendar.

Access to the camera:
To take photos straight in SBB Preview for the personalised touch timetable, the app needs access to the camera. You will be asked for permission. 

Internet access:
SBB Preview needs internet access for timetable informations and ticket purchase options.

Memory:
To support offline functions such as the list of stops, connections (history) and ticket purchase, SBB Preview needs access to your device’s memory (save app-specific settings).

Hallo es ist eine super App!!! So eine habe ich seit langem gesucht die eine Frage habe ich,wie kann ich mich registrieren? Es steht immer da unbekannter Fehler versuchen sie es später erneut kann man das vermeiden?

Würde mich auf eine Antwort vom Entwickler sehr freuen!

**Developer response:** Guten Tag. Danke für Ihre Rückmeldung. Ich bedaure die Problematik beim Erstellen vom Account. Der Registrationsprozess erfolgt technisch "ausserhalb" der App (im Browser auf SBB.ch). Bitte überprüfen Sie, ob in Safari "Alle Cookies blockieren" aktiviert ist. Dies muss deaktiviert sein, damit das Login funktioniert > Einstellungen > Safari > Erweitert > Alle Cookies blockieren = deaktivieren. Stellen Sie die Zeit auf Ihrem Device auf "Automatisch" ein, falls dies noch nicht der Fall sein sollte. Falls Sie einen VPN und/oder einen Virenscanner verwenden, deaktivieren Sie diesen und versuchen Sie das Login erneut. Meistens sind Login-Probleme auf diese Einstellungs-Ursachen zurückzuführen. Alternativ erstellen den Account (das SwissPass-Login) auf Ihrem PC oder Laptopt und melden sich dann nur in der App an. Freundliche Grüsse.

Baut doch bei Apple die neue Live Aktivität ein, so das man auf dem Sperrbildschirm die Informationen zur aktuellen Reise immer live sieht, dies würde das reisen mit der App um einiges praktischer machen und wäre auch mit wenig Aufwand verbunden, da ihr in der App die live Reise nahe 1:1 in die Live Aktivitäten Funktion kopieren könnt. Weiterhin könne Mann Dan die neue Dynamic Island einbauen wobei die alive Aktivität Funktion das wichtigste wäre. Gruss

### 1/5 — Voll verkitscht und unübersichtlich

Das Update ist schrecklich. Die Nutzenden müssen sich Informationen anzeigen lassen, die sie nicht brauchen. Die App lässt sich nicht auf persönliche Bedürfnisse anpassen. Easy ride ist nervig provozierend platziert und die Reiter nehmen den Platz für die Fahrverbindungen weg. Warum muss der Swisspass und EasyRide im Fordergrund sein, wenn Nutzende das nicht wollen? Der Platz fehlt dann für die Anzeige einer Fahrverbindung und der Nutzer muss eine Zusatzaktion machen. Das Feld zum Suchen hängt wie eine verrutschte Programmierung herum. Außerdem werden irgendwelche Orte automatisch eingetragen. Die Suche wird nicht schneller sondern störanfälliger und langsamer. Es wirkt als wäre die aktuelle App-Version unter einer Zwanghaftigkeit, etwas ändern zu müssen, entstanden.
Worauf kommt es bei dieser App an:
Den Fahrplan abzurufen und zu erkennen, dass man bei der SBB ist.

**Developer response:** Guten Tag. Danke für die Rückmeldungen. Schade gefällt Ihnen das neue Design nicht. Wir haben die letzten 2 Jahre (völlig ohne Drogeneinfluss) an diesem gearbeitet und regelmässige Kundenpanels und Feedback-Runden durchgeführt. Die Neuerungen und Anpassungen sind sehr wohl in unseren Köpfen entstanden, wir haben diese aber auch regelmässig mit Kundenfeedbacks geschärft. 
Die gewünschte Personalisierung nehme ich als Vote gerne auf. Bei der SwissPass-Platzierung schwingt bereits der Gedanke mit, einmal auch die Tickets darauf zu referenzieren. Beim Touch-Fahrplan mit den dynamischen Kacheln werden die Stationen anhand der Nutzung automatisch abgelegt.

Cela ressemble plus à une app. L’horrible menu « hamburger » de la version précédente a disparu, bravo. Remplacé par une barre d’onglet dont on peut regretter le style non standard, toujours ce besoin des graphistes de tout réinventer.  Non standard non plus: le geste pour supprimer un trajet sauvegardé, ou l’icône de partage laissent transparaître les éléments d’une app au design non natif ou mal adapté. J’aurais mis 4 sans ces défauts. Loin de Suisse je n’ai fait qu’un essai superficiel.

This update has left me with stations on the touch timetable I never use, there seems to be no ability to remove them only to add new ones, please revert back to the original layout as this just doesn’t work for me

Update following your reply: You’re unable to delete the pre selected tiles, you can only select and delete the additional tiles you create yourself

**Developer response:** Hi there. Thank you for using SBB Preview (beta test app for SBB Mobile). The new touch timetable is "work in progress" and not final. The touch timetable is "intelligent" - it shows the most relevant stations for you. If you want all these stations to be personalized, tap the pen at the bottom right and move the horizontal line all the way up. The preset stations disappear and free tiles for personalized setup (tile with a + in the middle) become active.

**Developer response:** Hi there. Thank you for your Feedback. In the connection query, you can view the train formation by wiping to the left over the selected connection. There the "family car" is marked with "FA". Basically, the best place for the pram is in these carriages. Kind regards.

### 1/5 — No, don’t give us FEWER locations, give us MORE!

Jeez, SBB, the original Touch Timetable layout was limiting and frustrating enough, with a maximum of sixteen entries, plus “from” and “to”, and six “recently used” locations. Now you have removed the “recently used” locations altogether from the preview version, and reduced it to four in the standard version, while expanding the sixteen tiles from taking up two thirds of the screen to taking up three quarters of the screen FOR NO ADDITIONAL FUNCTIONALITY. The new “personal tiles”, that each take up the space of TWO of the newly bloated sixteen tiles, and cannot be resized, reduced or removed, are more of a slap in the face than additional functionality.

The only reason that I can think for enlarging the sixteen tiles that were already bigger than they needed to be is to make the pictures look pretty. If that is the case, you at least need to provide a picture for EVERY SINGLE possible stop, in order to justify the waste of screen space. Instead, I have MORE of my screen space lost to blank squares that I cannot reduce, and a dramatic loss of functionality.

Please Please PLEASE allow the sixteen squares to be halved in height, so that we can have, say, 24 default locations with the “recent locations” restored, or 32 default locations with the new reduced functionality layout. This, as it is, is the worst of all worlds.

**Developer response:** Hi there. Thank you for your detailed feedback and input. You can also create up to 20 custom fields in the new touch timetable. In addition, "Current location" and "from" and "to" are displayed at the bottom of the screen. Tap on one of the empty (larger) tiles, enter a location, then (as soon as the tile has a red border) you can move the border and adjust the size. Kind regards.
