## What is Scam Check by GoldApps?

Scam Check helps you assess suspicious messages, links, screenshots, QR codes, and phone numbers before you respond.

Paste an email, text message, or chat, or use a screenshot, the camera, or the built-in QR code scanner. The app checks for common scam indicators, including urgency, requests for passwords or personal information, unusual payment demands, remote-access requests, and suspicious web addresses.

Detected phone numbers can also be checked online with privacy in mind. The number itself never leaves your device; only a cryptographic hash is sent. Results may include public enforcement information from Germany's Federal Network Agency and pseudonymous community reports.

If money, account credentials, or immediate harm are involved, contact your bank, the organization through an official channel you found independently, or local law enforcement.
