Can’t cancel it and get reimbursed even if in within 3hours of purchasing it. Scam. But you only get three free scans and it bugs you with deceptive subscription pages. 70 bucks a year supposedly on sale for $20. Thank you! ### 1/5 — Disappointing and misleading *2021-02-26* I didn’t think this app would be free, but saw after downloading it and when I opened it, there was a limited version, which I clicked on and got the screen stating 3 free scans, so had a go and frankly it was very poor quality so decided not to bother, so was very annoyed when I then got an email thanking me for my purchase which cost £19.49..... and an annual subscription.....to boot! - what a scam - DO NOT PURCHASE! **Developer response:** Hi, if you do not feel ready to jump into our plan with a paid subscription, please share your concerns with our support team so that we can work it out together. The ScaniX team ### 1/5 — Bad App *2020-11-27, version 1.6.7* So I have seen a video on Facebook that if you hold a card or another paper on the back of your camera, it scans it like a scanner. Nope, you need to make a photo, then you need to place the object into the render. Then you click next and if you are happy it will convert to pdf. Mostly it is not happening as I just expect it. The advertisement for the app makes it look like the app can scan written words and make them into readable PDFs but the technology does not work. Totally broken My phone 13 pro max on latest iOS update. Phone works fine. I tried it out and it doesn't make ur written letter all pretty like advertised! It was a visual mess! Definitely do not spend money on this app....! If I could give zero stars I would!!! ### 1/5 — It can’t convert handwriting *2021-05-22, version 2.3.0* I bought this solely to convert handwriting to text and it failed miserably. Not a single word was correct or even a word. ### 1/5 — Deceptive pricing *2021-04-29, version 2.2.0* Appears to be a fee app, and if it was and you had to pay a one time fee of a few bucks it would be fine, but instead they try to trick you into a monthly subscription. Don’t know if it’s as good as the ads, but due to the deceptive pricing it gets one star. ### 1/5 — Attempted Theft *2021-04-12, version 2.1.4* Watch out and read the fine print. After downloading a free product if you ignore all the requests to purchase a premium product you get left with a 3 day free trial which will lead to an automatic purchase after those 3 days. In other words they want to trick you into giving them the rights to Bill you almost immediately. I have zero interest in disreputable product offerings like this!
