### 1/5 — Covid test diaster

*2022-05-07, version 6.9.1*

This app is a travesty of software design, a feckless and desperate testament of Silicon Valley self-importance. The covid test I purchased, BD Veritor, requires the app to perform and deliver a result. Nowhere in the box are there instructions for doing so manually. You are required to download and sign up, so good luck to your grandparents who just want to know if they can leave the house again. The app itself is a mess. Never before in the history of humanity has detecting a deadly disease been relegated to an atrocious user story of this magnitude. After divulging a litany of required personal information, the instructions are still locked behind a bizarre AR environment validation that feels more like a Nintendo Wii game than a tool that will tell you if you have Covid. In a society of accelerating technology use, the answer to an analog process that takes 15 minutes isn’t to add another 20 of configuration. If this weren’t for detecting a disease that has killed millions of people worldwide, I wouldn’t mind. But this test invariably has resulted in people losing access to vital information about their health due to its hobbled attempts to solve a problem that doesn’t exist. If you bought this test and have to use this app, God help you. If you worked on the app and are seeing this, I’m sorry about the managerial failures that led to this. You did the best you could, but this entire concept was a failure from the start.

### 1/5 — Overkill for me

*2022-05-05, version 6.9.1*

I am fully capable of administering a COVID test and making sense of the results myself without the app, but that is not how this product is designed to work. I will not buy this test again.

This product does not explain how to make sense of test results yourself. You must use the app. When using the app it forces you to wait 15 minutes then gives you five minutes to take a picture of the results after which it interprets the test. This means if you administer the test without the app then start the app later to make sense of the results you must wait an additional 15 minutes. This forced guidance is probably very useful to some but is overkill for me. In fact, I will recommend this app to my parents because they need this sort of guidance, it’s just too much for me.

### 1/5 — Just get normal at home tests

*2022-04-25, version 6.9.1*

Get the normal analog test strips, anyone can figure those out. This app completely wastes your time. Not only is there an obnoxious amount of steps and forms to fill out, but it makes you wait 15 minutes in app to get results. HOW IS THERE NOT A SKIP BUTTON FOR THAT? What if I’ve already waited many minutes as I fill out all those dumb forms? What if I’m trying to test multiple people in my house at the same time? Sorry, you must wait 15 minutes from the point you get to that step, EACH TIME! Got a positive person in your household and so you wanna test everyone else? Get ready for this process to take an hour. The app is good if you have never taken one Covid test before and would be unable to read or follow paper instructions as it aggressively holds your hand each micro-step of the way. But anyone else, it’s a waste of time. TERRIBLE UX.

Little tip: 2 lines on the strip means negative, 3 means positive. Skip the app, use your eyes on the strip like a normal person.

### 1/5 — Worst test of them all

*2022-04-23, version 6.9.1*

I’ve used at least 5 different brands of covid tests and BD Veritor is the worst out of all of them. I have one more test left, because I accidentally threw away the wrong scan card when I had covid, and I would rather not even bother with their customer service to figure out how to override it. The whole test/app is very unforgiving and will not allow you to move forward or will call you test invalid if you are 5 seconds too late to it once it says it’s time to take the picture. This test was also the most expensive of all the tests, consistently tested negative when I was covid positive, and yeah, save your money. I really hope this review saves someone the frustration.

### 1/5 — Needing a smart phone for a covid test is ridiculous

*2022-04-22, version 6.9.1*

The fact that you can’t take this test or get your results without supplying all of your information is a scam. Due to entering info and having to scan the test multiple times, this test takes 2x as long as other store bought tests. They won’t supply directions on how to test or how to read the results. This is made to be much more complicated than it needs to be. And you don’t need all of my information for this, I just know I’m gonna be receiving spam emails, calls and texts all to get a negative result. It feels like this company is taking advantage of a health crisis, and I’m sure this will all become a news story soon.

### 1/5 — Waste of your Time

*2022-04-16, version 6.9.1*

The fact this kit doesn’t include paper directions and forces you to use their app demonstrates is also designed to data mine your personal information. How does your race, address, and email help the test? As other reviews mention, you spend half the time forced to watch videos teaching you how to adjust your lights and play with your camera phone (which is apparently appealing to millennials) but a complete waste of time. I am perfectly comfortable using a smart phone but there should be some kind of warning on this test for elderly or non-tech people. Other competing COVID tests have a simple one line or two line strip result and you don’t need your smart phone to “interpret” it. After setting up and account, using this app, watching their mindless videos, and waiting 20 minutes for results I pretty much wanted to take the test swab and shove it up into my brain. Do yourself a favor and get a simple test from someone else.

### 1/5 — Read the Fine Print

*2022-03-24, version 6.9.1*

Read their Privacy Policy. Scanwell is going to share your data with whomever they choose. This includes your personal information, health information, contact information, images from your phone, and more. Their criteria? Whatever is necessary to protect their interests. No choices here. They are not about helping the consumer. They are using a need (figuring out if you have Covid or not) and leveraging it for their own gain. They specifically say that if you don’t want your data shared - don’t use their product. I choose that option.
Caveat emptor!
I just wasted $30 bucks on this piece of spyware. Don’t be fooled. This app WILL mine your data to be used for whatever promotes their agenda.
Welcome 1984! Welcome, George O.

### 1/5 — Least user friendly test - Most expensive

*2022-02-26, version 6.9.0*

Zero stars is more appropriate. This test is not user friendly requiring download of an app just to access information, instructions, and results. You cannot do multiple tests at once because that would require multiple devices. There were 2 lines appearing which caused concern while waiting. There was not an indication that an app was needed with this test and if this was known before, we would not have wasted the money and others without compatible phones may be out of luck. This app might explain the increase in cost but doesn’t mean consumers would want that. The added “benefit” is not worth the added cost.

### 1/5 — Absolutely ridiculously obnoxious

*2022-02-25, version 6.9.0*

As this was the only test available in my local pharmacy, I did not have much choice but to purchase it. I imagine the majority of the cost of this expensive test went to paying for app developers. You can’t take the test without downloading the app, agreeing to their policies, and giving up your contact information. I have eyes. I can read a test just fine without a camera. The app had some trouble though, even after the lighting test. This seems like a solution to a problem that doesn’t exist, and it creates problems of its own. I realize they are collecting metrics, but this is absolutely obnoxious.

### 1/5 — Horrible Invasion of Privacy

*2022-02-18, version 6.9.0*

Most at home tests show you the results right away and assume you are smart enough to read them. If you call the help line they will tell you there is no way to read the results without signing up for the app, which requires all of your personal info including birthday, phone number, email, race, address, even your preferred pronouns. Isn’t the benefit of an at home test to allow you privacy? The results show up as lines on the test, just like other rapid home tests, but they do not include a key to read them. It takes forever to download the app, sign up, watch the videos, take the test, and wait the required amount of time before the app will give you the reading (which is obvious to the naked eye, so why not allow us to read our own tests instantly)? Just another way for big brother to gather our personal information while holding results hostage unless you agree to tell them everything about yourself.

### 1/5 — Would not have purchased this covid test

*2022-02-16, version 6.8.0*

If I had known that completing this test would require downloading an app, entering in personal information and watching videos that cannot be skipped, I would never have purchased this covid test. I appreciate the effort put into designing all this, but I felt irritated that there wasn’t a more transparent option. Why wasn’t there the option to just read the instructions and interpret the results without an app? I’m not commenting on the functionality of the app, that was fine. Good design, actually. But opening the package and finding out that I would have to do it all on my phone was a disappointment. Could it be made more clear on the package that it is REQUIRED to do all that to get the results? I knew I couldn’t return the test after opening it, so I felt pressured to just do it. There is very small print saying that the health app is required.

**Developer response:** Hi there, thanks for your thoughtful review. We really appreciate you taking the time to share such detailed feedback! In particular, thank you for your feedback about your expectations before and after purchasing, that is very helpful. I'm sorry that the app requirement was unexpected and frustrating.

I invite you to write us at support@scanwellhealth.com, any time, if you have questions or would like to share more about your experience. Also, one small thing that I hope is helpful-- videos are now skippable! You can opt to watch them, but it's no longer required. Thank you again and take care. -Claire @ Scanwell

### 1/5 — Breach of Privacy

*2022-02-05, version 6.8.0*

Do yourself a favor and do not use this service, go to a licensed doctor and wait the extra day for results. BDs COVID test was the only at home test I could get, but I will never use their service again. You cannot view your results unless you give BD your information and scan your test (Spoiler, you don’t need to scan it, three lines mean positive, two pink lines = control).
This would be fine, except in order to view these results, you accept the terms and conditions, meaning that scanwell and BD now hold your test results and can use them as they wish to with personal identification. Do not use this service. Do not freely give away your info because they ask you to. Their test works regardless of using your smartphone to scan it, they just want to catalog your results for their personal benefit

### 1/5 — Not user friendly

*2022-01-31, version 6.8.0*

This test is so frustrating! Before I started it made me sign up fir an online account, which I was not happy about. Then, there are NO written instructions in the box! The whole thing is done by video on your phone in the app. I don’t need any new apps on my phone! It gives unnecessary information and instructions. Watching the video took way too long and was not helpful information. Then the results started to show up immediately after the test, but there is no guide to tell you what is positive or negative. You have to wait the full 15 minutes to see the results. When the test started showing it came up with 2 pink lines. Every other at home test I’ve taken, 2 pink lines means a positive test! So I’m freaking out, but still have to wait the full 15 minutes for any answer! And after all that, the results were negative! All this frustrations and headaches for nothing!

### 2/5 — Not user friendly

*2022-01-30, version 6.8.0*

The instructions for the Covid testing do not allow you to go back at once you get to a certain point. I had moved onto this part before a piece of info in the last video had registered, and I needed to go back to get what I missed but couldn’t. I then had to wait 25 minutes(a 15 minute timer starts at the end of all of the videos, followed by another 5 minute timer) to let everything cycle back through and almost expired my test because of this. It does not account for errors in this test, so pay attention. What I really didn’t like, is even after it had already cycled through all the videos with the first test, it didn’t recognize that all the videos had been watched and still makes you go through the same videos without just having an option to scan your results.

### 1/5 — Waste of time

*2022-01-26, version 6.8.0*

What a waste of my time. In something that should have taken 17 minutes total, between reading directions, testing, and reading results, I have now spent nearly 35 minutes using this system. Having to create a profile and then scan my test stick in order to get my results???? Is that a joke?!? This is supposed to be a rapid test! It’s not rocket science! Tell me what positive and negative results look like and let me analyze my own test. I’m very glad this test was provided to me at no cost because I would be even more furious if I had spent my hard earned money on it. Not everything needs to be run through a smart phone or to make a profile to give you my information in order to interpret results.

### 1/5 — Can’t watch the video in advance

*2022-01-24, version 6.8.0*

I watched the videos in advance to make sure that I would perform the test early. However, the timer for the test had already started and it wouldn’t let me restart the timer. I deleted to app to hopefully clear the issue, but when it identified the card that it needs to use to interpret results, I was prohibited from using that test. Now I purchased a test kit that was supposed to have two test and I have only one that I can use because this app forces you to perform the test in real time. This is either a massive mistake in designing an app (and for that matter, what do you need an app for this test? There are are lots of tests where you just have to read the instructions. It’s not rocket science…they just want to collect your personal information….shame on you BD) or a sneaky and shameful way for BD to make money during a time of demand for their product. This is price gouging during a time of worldwide crisis. These guys saw a sneaky way to make a few more bucks from people like me who like to read the instructions beforehand. I will say it many times. SHAME ON YOU.

### 1/5 — Idiotic

*2022-01-22, version 6.8.0*

This is the worst. *Requires* you to download an app and submit your name, birthdate, home address, sex, ethnicity, email and phone number all of which I entered falsely bc, no thank you, I don’t want some unknown third party harvesting my personal, medical info. The instructions, which are only available by app, are ridiculously laborious. Unlike the other tests, this one shows more than one bar for the result even tho in my case negative. The worst part: you need to take a photo of your result - in order to do so, you must find the right light (with no shadows!) otherwise it won’t take. Meanwhile, a clock is ticking down from 5 mins.
Data harvester + idiotic user experience- horrible!! If I could give negative 5 stars I would!!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Irresponsible company. 2 lines means negative!

*2022-10-28, version 7.1.0*

This is such an irresponsible and dangerous idea. They don’t offer any instructions or guidance outside of the app. If you’ve taken a bunch of at home tests before you might well decide to ignore the app and just use it yourself. If you do this you will almost certainly get a false positive. This test has 2 control lines instead of the normal 1 control line. 2 lines means negative and 3 lines means positive. And they don’t tell you this anywhere! It’s impossible to know that this is true. My friend started sleeping in the same room as another friend who had COVID because after taking this test and seeing 2 lines she thought she was infected. She caught COVID from that friend as a direct result of this company’s irresponsibility

### 1/5 — Making something so simple incredibly difficult

*2022-10-09, version 7.1.0*

I truly do not understand why in order to take an at home COVID test; I must download an app, register for an account, have that app check my surroundings to make sure I’m in a well lit area???, go through a million pages of instructions on said app, and then once I complete the process I CANNOT LEAVE THE APP FOR 20 MINUTES, and if I do, then I won’t know my results and will need to take another test???????? OR! If I am distracted and miss the window, then the test is no longer legible and I will have to take another test??????? Riddle me this, why do you provide a customer support number to call in these instances if all your customer support can say is “I’m so sorry I can’t help you” ?????? It’s like, “uh okay, sorry to bother you????”

Additionally, you make it so the results cannot be understood unless scanned with the phone camera via the app. You are the only COVID test I have experienced were TWO LINES MEANS NEGATIVE, BUT NOT ALWAYS?????

You all make at home COVID testing WAY harder than it actually is.

### 1/5 — Exploitative, Dangerous, Unnecessary.

*2022-09-01, version 7.1.0*

The only COVID test that needs an app. For that reason alone, this app may cost many their lives. Not everyone has access to WiFi/an application based device. Making it a requirement for a crucially important test in a pandemic is reckless at best, a humanitarian crime at worst.

My father is severely immunosuppressed. He just got back from his second stem cell transplant battling leukemia. If I am going to see him, I PCR beforehand, and take rapid tests every day. Today I get there, a place with no Internet, with these tests, and am unable to qualify myself to render the care my father needs to survive because I can’t test for COVID. I can’t test because this pain of a company is so narcissistic.

Get over yourselves. Make the app accessible, not profitable. You’re sick— and not the kind that can be detected by a Scanwell test.

### 1/5 — Too tedious

*2022-08-10, version 7.0.0*

I would not recommend this test. The steps are too drawn out and made to seem much more troublesome than they need to be. Also the fact that you need a smart phone makes it useless to anyone who isn’t tech savvy or lacks these types of devices. Having to wait for the phone app to read my result is another unnecessary step. Not being able to close out of the app was annoying as I needed to make a phone call and needed to use another phone out of fear that I’d lose connection with the app. It took way too long to see obtain the results.

There are many simpler tests that will give an expeditious and accurate reading without all this extra work. Do not recommend.

### 1/5 — This is the dumbest way to test for Covid

*2022-06-07, version 7.0.0*

This is literally the first time I have ever writ ten a review of an app, and I just want to say that this is by far the worst Covid test o have ever used. Imagine you have found yourself in the unfortunate position of having to test for Covid, and somehow this test is the only one you can find to buy in your area. Now you have to allow this company to do whatever they want with your personal information, and spend an extra 20 minutes of your life trying to test for a process that does require a smart phone and use that piece of technology to do an otherwise routine task and have it take much longer than it should have. Terrible app and deployment of a Covid test.

### 1/5 — Infuriating

*2022-06-05, version 7.0.0*

I have to echo similar reviews. I feel completely taken advantage of by this manipulative test. Unlike all other rapid COVID antigen tests I’ve used, this BD Veritor/Scanwell product requires the use of an app, ostensibly because I as an end user am not capable of interpreting test results. (Also, how illogical to start with the instructions to wash my hands with soap for 20 minutes and then be forced to interact with my phone during the entire bleeping test process. Phones are typically full of more bacteria than a toilet seat!) In any case, I’m disgusted by the UX which makes PII data elements mandatory …. Information collected is NOT required to fulfill the stated purpose of keeping a record of results, and for those of us who aren’t reporting to an employer through the app, almost all PII should be optional. I nearly exploded when the app “timed out” on my toddler’s test result in the 5 minute window when my other toddler was having a meltdown. Test results have a validity window, sure, but to have zero grace period or recourse to get even a conditional read of results within the 5-10 minutes past the optimal window, considering that you took my money and my PII, but didn’t even provide me the courtesy of a simple set of printed instructions? Completely insulting and deceptive. Managing COVID testing for the under 4 crowd is bad enough. Thanks, BD Veritor, for making it exponentially worse.

### 1/5 — Frustrating

*2022-06-01, version 7.0.0*

The app itself is Ok. It has problems reading the results in very good light conditions and it only gives you 5 minutes to find a place where the picture may work but it eventually took the picture and read the results. However, there should not be a need to provide my personal information and download an app to read the results of a rapid test. In addition, there is no information about what a positive or a negative test looks like. I see two lines in the results, which the app says it is negative. It may be that for this test 3 lines is positive and 2 lines is negative but without information, the results leave you wondering whether the scanner failed and whether you have Covid. The whole point of a rapid test is to determine if one has the virus but this test/app left me wondering whether the results were correct.

### 1/5 — Most cumbersome of all testes

*2022-05-16, version 7.0.0*

Test are ubiquitous. Bd has created a process that is so over reaching to get results that I would never buy these again. Having to use an invariance Dara filleting application to get easily readable results for a test stick is an invaision. It’s almost a huge time synch. The version of the test I got used 2 lines a a negative 3 as a positive. And every other test is different than that. Also there is no image of a positive test anywhere on line so you are forded to go through the whole process on your phone. What if you are elderly without the technical chops to manage the confusing and way to much info interface?

DO NOT BUY THIS.

### 1/5 — This test is incredibly frustrating!

*2022-05-10, version 7.0.0*

This test kit was the worst we have used. It relies so heavily on the app that when the app is slow or not working properly you are not even able to have readable instructions to analyze your own result. The app instructions wanted you to only have one of the packets open for 5 minutes but took longer than 5 minutes to wait for the app to cycle through the instructions. Trying to scan the test stick was a terrible experience too. The test stick was too tilted or too far away or too close. I wanted to give up and use the instructions to help me interpret the results, but again, there were none included!

### 1/5 — Unnecessarily complicated and cumbersome

*2022-05-08, version 6.9.1*

If you have take any other COVID test, you realize how unnecessarily complicated and cumbersome this test is. It’s not just swab your nose, put the swab into a solution, put drops of the solution onto a test stick and wait to see 2 lines. No! This is signing up for an app where they ask you personal questions that are no ones business, then you have to scan the test with your phone so the app can identify which test it is, take a light test, scan the test again, then swab your nose put the swab into a solution, put drops of the solution on a test stick, stay on the app for 20 min, see two lines (which does not indicate that you have COVID, then scan the test results with your phone, to then learn what the actual results are. Absolutely idiotic, intrusive, and annoyingly cumbersome. I am not suffering from a chronic diseas like diabetes where you might want to track glucose levels. I just want to quickly and easily get to a test result. No wonder I (and surely many others) will never buy this thing again. A customer so annoyed that he writes a review.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Test needs written instructions

*2022-01-20, version 6.8.0*

This is my third time using a COVID test and first time using this type. If you have no idea what you’re doing the videos are probably useful and comforting. If you know what to do the fact that you have to watch all the videos, sign up for an app and wait the full 15 minutes for results that show up in 2 minutes is annoying as crap. The test doesn’t provide any written instructions for testing or interpreting results. Everything works through the app only.

### 5/5 — Science

*2022-01-15, version 6.8.0*

Wow, very impressed, people were giving me a hard time saying that I’d got the most complicated test kit. It actually turned out to be a very solid foolproof science experiment. Now they all want to go get one. Please not I did not have any rock solid symptoms but this the first test to use as a baseline for a few more tests. I have to go into a medical setting with more than a few people around and am going through Chemo therapy for CLL. So as you can imagine I’m nervous with my immune system taking a big hit.

### 5/5 — Good test, easy to use

*2021-11-28, version 6.7.3*

There are a lot of negative comments about this product and I would be angry if I purchased it and it would not work with my phone. The manufacturer recommended potential users to go to their store and get the app before purchasing so you know it is compatible with your phone. All that said it is easy to use, takes about 25 minutes to get a result. There’s a video to walk you through each step.

### 5/5 — So happy with Scanwell

*2021-03-03, version 4.3*

I found this App a year ago and thought it was a fantastic Idea. I ordered test to have on hand. Last weekend I woke up with a mild UTI but by 8pm I was double over with cramps and couldn’t wait to call my doctor in the morning so I took the Scanwell test, scanned it into the app, answered some questions and waited. In less than an hour I had a prescription waiting for me at the pharmacy. The nurse that was in contact with me was very helpful and thorough in questioning my health background and symptoms. I am so happy with how fast I got a response and immediate help. I am grateful that this type of healthcare is available. This is a must have for anyone who travels or at the moment is just staying home due to COVID-19. Being able to get a script without going and exposing yourself to the germs in a doctor’s office is fantastic!
Love this app !!!!!! Thank you Scanwell!!

### 5/5 — Easy to Use!

*2020-04-19, version 4.0*

I haven’t had a UTI in years but knew the symptoms and that I had one. I tried to contact my Kaiser doctor but it was the weekend and it was taking too long for them to reply (over 48 hours) and needed immediate relief. I also didn’t want to go to urgent care because of the current shelter in place orders due to Covid-19. Fortunately I found Scanwell and was able to get a script sent to the pharmacy fast! The app and kit was easy to use. Lifesaver! Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — The Easiest Thing EVER

*2019-10-18, version 2.3.3*

This app is AMAZING.

You can get 3 UTI tests for $15, and either pay for expedited shipping for use free shipping. I used free shipping and still got them within 3-4 days.

I already had a UTI when I downloaded this app, so once I got the tests in the mail, I read the instructions and watched the in app video a few times to make sure I got everything right because (again) I wanted to get my UTI resolved ASAP.

The app told me when to open the package, when to pee on the test strip, handled time tracking, and told me when the test strip was ready. Through the app, I took a picture of my test strip, which it read immediately, then I filled out my information and provided photo ID, answered some questions about my symptoms, and within 2 hours I got a call from a doctor who reviewed everything with me, and sent my prescription to my local pharmacy, where I was able to pick it up within 20 minutes.

The whole process took less than 2 hours!

I’m literally in awe. This app changes everything, and it was SO easy! I’d recommend this to everyone!

### 5/5 — Life-changing!

*2019-06-15, version 2.2.1*

These kits are amazing! I get UTIs about 3 times/year and usually have to go to urgent care in a last minute panic and spend $200+ for urine testing and antibiotics. With Scanwell, everything is 10x simpler. I can confirm what I already know from my symptoms in the comfort of my own home, and then pay a quarter of what I usually pay to get the antibiotics I need. I had my diagnosis within a couple of hours and my prescription was ready for pickup almost immediately. And the doctors who consult through the app follow up a couple days later to see if your symptoms have improved! What more could you want? I hope more people hear about Scanwell soon because it is a no-hassle game changer in the stressful, uncomfortable world of UTIs.

**Developer response:** Thanks so much for taking the time to share your experience! As someone who also experiences frequent UTIs, I know how quickly those urgent care visits can add up. Happy to hear we were able to help you save a little $, and feel better sooner.
-Candace

### 5/5 — Easy, empowering, efficient

As a frequent traveler with an irregular schedule, the Scanwell App has proved absolutely invaluable for me when dealing with UTI.

Since UTIs don’t give us the courtesy of advance notice, my regular doctor wasn’t available to see me when I tried to book an appointment last-minute. With this app, I was able to take control of my health without having to wait for someone else to make time for me.

Following the app’s directions while using the testing kit was a breeze. A doctor reviewed my case, provided a diagnosis, and sent a prescription for treatment to my pharmacy of choice that same day.

Not only did I receive the necessary medicine, but the doctor providing feedback reached out to address my concerns about my symptoms and made sure to follow up with me.

It feels empowering to know I have this tool to use at my fingertips—even if I’m in another city or state. When it comes to healthcare, access is everything.

The well-designed user interface and easy-to-use testing kit are great on their own, but it’s the human component and actual care Scanwell’s treating physician displayed that built a personalized, trustworthy experience.

**Developer response:** Hi there! Thanks so much for leaving this awesome review of your experience. We created Scanwell to make getting treatment for UTIs more convenient and affordable, and I'm so glad we were able to help you out in a pinch.

### 3/5 — Helpful, but…

*2022-01-27, version 6.8.0*

The instructions are somewhat helpful, but way too long and unnecessary if you are giving regular tests to your child (like me). I’m a pro at these tests now, but the app makes me watch all their videos every time. The worst is the extremely long video about offering your child a teddy bear or tablet or cookies or restraining them if you need to. OMG, I’m their parent, I can handle it, and why can’t I skip these after I’ve seen them once? End result, I’ll use the test materials from now on, but will not use the app or scanning features due to the frustration and inconvenience. I would think that this defeats their goals if collecting test data, but I’m not going to scan if I have to go through this long process every single time as I’ve got enough stress and responsibilities already, so hopefully the feedback is helpful to this company.

### 3/5 — Not inclusive

*2022-01-19, version 6.8.0*

I feel like this app does the job— the covid test is easy to take and the instructions are easy to follow… IF you have a smartphone and IF you speak English. Two of my kids have received these from their schools and I genuinely feel sorry for the families whose first language is not English as there are no other language options. It’s a shame really. Also, not everyone is wealthy enough to have access to the kind of technology needed here so the fact that you MUST use the app in order to take the test is also a bit exclusionary. Do better.
