### 5/5 — Scarf Perfection

*2022-11-27*

The lovely scarf formations not only artfully display the particular features of Hermes scarfs but also those of other materials and manufacture to change the emphasis of a color, a central design feature or a border. They show how to change a neckline of a tank, a shell, a shirt, a blouse, a sweater, a jacket and a coat. A thousand different looks. On a recent trip to Paris, everyone was wearing a scarf so this tool allowed me to pretend to be a sophisticated Parisian or at least feel like one. The directions are clear and easy to follow and this easy app replaces the other books I’ve acquired on scarf wearing so it is always handy.

### 5/5 — Love!

*2022-09-28, version 1.41*

I love my scarves and I love seeing the variety of ways I can wear them. I just cleaned my maxi twil according to the instructions in this app and it came out beautifully. It is so nice to not have to worry about the cleaners messing up my scarves.

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2022-02-14, version 1.41*

Has all that I need at my fingertips! Will be a useful resource to learn / practice so that I’m ready to knot at time of dressing. Knot yourself out!

Are there alternatives tools to using scarf buckles e.g, hair bands or regular rings without the middle buckle?

### 5/5 — Fab scarf tying tutorials

*2022-01-15*

This app is brilliant, so well designed and easy to use, and wonderfully inspiring.

### 5/5 — There’s more than one way to wear your scarf!

*2021-11-23*

I’ve always loved scarves but didn’t really know how to wear them and usually reverted to ‘twice around the neck.’ This awesome app has upped my game and I now wear my scarves more often and receive compliments on my mad skills.
The app provides numerous options for scarves of all sizes as well as a filter for style, scarf size, ease of tying and more. There is a video tutorial for every style that can be played in slow motion for those of us who are slow learners!
If you own any scarves, this app is a must!

### 5/5 — Invaluable app!

*2021-10-04*

So pleased I downloaded this app, it is useful, beautiful and inspirational !

### 5/5 — Best instructions for scarf tying

*2021-08-31*

This app is the best I have ever seen for ways to tie and wear scarves.
It is a delight to watch.
The instructions are clearly demonstrated in both video and written forms. You see which parts of the scarf are highlighted in each knot style and pick up many new ideas on how to wear your scarves.
It gave new life to my older scarves as I tried wearing them new ways.
Thank You Maitai for making this app!

### 5/5 — Lovely App!

*2021-07-20*

Thank you Taina for creating an intuitive app showcasing your creative talent in folding scarves! This app gave me the confidence to fold and wear scarves beautifully! I’m drawn to elegance and there are many folds that exude elegance! Thank you also for your quick and attentive responses to my email regarding the filter function. I’ve just played with the app and the recent update fixed the bug. Thank you again, and I look forward to more playtime with scarves! 😊

### 5/5 — Simple scarf know how

*2021-07-01*

Great app. Great knowledge within with easy to follow visuals with brilliant end results.

### 5/5 — Wonderful app!

*2021-06-17*

I know you’re thinking- why pay for a scarf tying app? Because it’s thoughtfully designed and user friendly. I love that MaiTai highlights what section of the scarf will be seen with each variation. Each video is short, simple and easy to follow. I like that she tells you what scarf size works best. She also uses scarf rings which I very much like. It’s a very beautifully made app that makes styling and wearing scarves look effortless and fashionable.

### 5/5 — Detailed, easy to follow highly recommended!

*2021-06-05*

Don’t hesitate to buy, boost your confidence instantly with scarf tying. Thank you so much for your effort to put this app together. 😍

### 5/5 — Fantastic app! Worth every penny.

*2021-03-10*

Thoughtfully organized and extremely useful whether you wish to master many scarf knots, or just pick up a few nice knots for every day life.

If you are familiar with the MaiTai blog, then you already know that she only puts out quality work. This app is no exception.

Regardless of the number of scarves you own, the app will help you make the most of your collection. If you own a lot of scarves and rings, you can really go down the rabbit hole and master many looks. If you own small number of scarves, the app will teach you to make what you do own, go much much further for you.

What I found interesting is that once I started to try tying knots using the app, I was able to look at my scarves in a whole different light based on which sections will be hidden and which will be accentuated.

It almost seems like I have a number of new scarves because the scarves look so different with various knots. It’s like a “reveal” to see how they look once they are tied. It’s super fun!

The instructions are very easy to follow, and the app allows you to search the knots based on numerous categories including complexity of a knot, scarf size, which part of the scarf you wish to emphasize or hide etc.

Wonderful app. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Artful and Amazing Scarf Trying App

*2021-02-18, version 1.31.2*

I have a bunch of beautiful Hermès scarves that were seldom used because I never could quite figure out how to style them properly. This app has changed everything for me. I now love wearing my scarves because I have learned how to wear them with panache! The tutorials are easy to follow, and the app is visually beautiful! Well worth the purchase and then some! Love it!

### 5/5 — Another way to search, please?

*2021-01-17*

I love this app. There is a great deal of variety in how you can tie your scarves. It helps to keep me from wearing my H scarves the same hum-drum way all the time. But I really wish that there was a way to search by the type of scarf, not just by knot type... such as mousseline, shawl or plisse. Sometimes I just don’t have enough time to search through all the knots to find in the description whether or not it would work for the type of scarf I have chosen to wear that day.

**Developer response:** Bonjour!

Thanks so much for the 5-stars and your comment, I am so happy to know that you enjoy the app.

The search function by scarf type already exists: tap on “Filter: all knots” at the bottom of your screen and scroll down to the “Scarf size” menu. Select your scarf type.

Please note that the overview pictures and tutorials in the search results feature mainly 90 scarves, but the knots are adaptable to the scarf type you selected. In most cases you can find a picture of the scarf type you chose in the accompanying blog posts.

Hope you continue to enjoy the app, and if you have any other comments or suggestions please let me know!

Warm regards,
MaiTai

### 5/5 — Terrific!

*2021-01-09, version 1.31*

Clear instructions, lots of variations (different ways to wear each knot, how it looks with scarves of different sizes). I’ve been able to wear almost all of them and make mine look just like hers. The only ones that don’t work for me are knots worn very close to her neck. My neck is larger than hers and there’s not enough fabric in the scarf to recreate the knot.

### 5/5 — Scarf Tying University

*2020-12-19*

I love scarves, but have trouble getting the most value from my collection because I get bored wearing the same way. Additionally, I live in a hot climate that makes wearing many popular styles too uncomfortable. This app has the answers for me. One can go deep into how to showcase specific areas of the scarf design, different variations in how you arrange the knot, and very clear video tutorials with captions and time stamps. Or, you can quickly glance over the title photos for a reminder. The filters are very helpful for saving time in choosing what style suits your needs. I feel this app is well worth the price for all the information presented so beautifully and that it has updates to keep it current.

### 5/5 — Well designed app :)

*2020-12-17, version 1.29*

I love the different knot ideas, and filters make it easy to find inspiration for your specific scarf based on size/pattern/etc. The instructions are easy to follow too. I ended up buying this app for my mom as well. She just bought her first scarf and had no idea how to wear it either. Thank you!!

### 5/5 — Congratulations!

*2020-10-22*

Lovely App thank you! I followed your blog and loved seeing how you styled the scarves. I have 20+ Hermes scarves that I have collected over the years and your blog helped me create: ‘outside the box’

One suggestion and one request:

Suggestion: if you had an inspiration page with thumbnails (by category) it would be more helpful to find the right look quickly and click on it - I find the search function somewhat frustrating to be honest. Even if a number of inspiration pictures didn’t have a link to directions, the picture itself is still very helpful!

For example, I remember from your blog that you have a number of the large 140cm that you tied as a long vest / gilet and when I searched that size it only provided images of the knots you have listed. I have been looking online for those images but can’t find them anymore (my request!).

Also, you did a number of posts re: care of the scarves - washing, storage, etc. That would also be very helpful for people.

Finally, a favourites button (perhaps on an inspiration page would also be useful!

Again, congratulations!

Tracey

**Developer response:** Hello Tracey, - so happy you love the app, thanks so much for your feedback and 5-star rating!

Love the suggestion of a thumbnail page for a quick overview and am checking with the programmers how this could be implemented.

The blog post with washing and care instructions could be added into the “more” section and I am checking on that, too.

The favorite button already exists: when you open a knot you can see a heart symbol on the top right, next to the knot’s name.

Thanks so much again and I hope you continue to enjoy the app!

———edited to add———

Thanks so much again for your comment and excellent suggestions!

The inspiration page is now implemented, you can find it under “Gallery” in the “More” menu (top right corner). This has instantly become my favorite function, so huge thanks to you.

You can now also find the washing instructions in the “More” menu.

Inspired by your gallery suggestion, we are working on implementing the format as an alternative view for the home page, which would allow you to see all knots in a couple of quick scrolls. Hopefully coming in the next update.

Warmest regards,
MaiTai

### 5/5 — Love this app!

*2020-10-20, version 1.27*

I love this app - it is so well thought out and easy to use. I have a suggestion for an additional filter - could you add a filter for “neckline” so that we can see recommendations for which scarf ties look best with V-necks, round collars or bateau necklines?

Thank you!

### 2/5 — Pas d anneaux pas de nouages

*2022-06-11, version 1.41*

Ce que l on ne vous dit pas c est que c est appli est quasi inutile sans les anneaux de nouage Très déçue Je n ai pas pu faire un seul noeud

### 4/5 — No music please!

*2020-09-23*

I really would like to enjoy your app without hearing any music. Anytime I press how to tie a scarf a random music plays on automatically! It is so annoying!!! Please remove the music or have a feature of option of not playing music at all. Once this is resolved I will write another review!

————————————————————————-

I am glad for quick feedback from the developer.
I would like to enjoy this app without turning on / off silent mode of the phone. Is it possible at all?
I am asking because I tried silent mode and it works fine. But when I try to listen to my own music while browsing through this app and with silent mode it automatically stops my own music anytime I press play with scarf app. I guess removing music is not an option?

————————————————————————-

Thank you for your feedback of looking at possibility of removing music so that it doesn’t have any music and/or let’s other people to listen to their own music while playing tutorial. I will look forward to that feature and other new tying tutorials soon. And as for the giving you a rating of one after your first feedback I think it must have been a glitch in the system as I didn’t do it. 🤷‍♀️

**Developer response:** Bonjour, - To play the tutorials without music, simply put your iPhone into Silent mode when using the app. The Silent mode switch is the top button on the left side of your phone. Slide it back to mute. To unmute, slide it forwards. Hope this resolves your issues, if you have any other questions please let me know. Regards, MaiTai. ____________________________________________________________________________________Regarding your second comment: I was glad that my response to your initial request was helpful and resolved the issue. It was all the more surprising to see another 1* rating from you a few hours later (which has since been upgraded to a 3*) with a new request. In answer to this: the music won’t be deleted, but I will look into the possibility to have a functionality programmed into the app that allows you to listen to your own music while playing the tutorials. On a personal note, I feel that the goal posts are moving and I don’t think it is fair to tie advanced feature requests to a 1* or 3* rating. This is what the feedback tap within the app is for. Regards, MaiTai

——————————————————

You are very welcome and I hope that we will be able to add this functionality in the future.
Regarding the ratings ... I am very glad they were given unintentionally. It can easily happen by accidentally hitting one of the five orange stars. In this example, you would have given the app a one-star rating.
Best, MaiTai

### 5/5 — Tina

*2026-02-12*

Great resource for scarf lovers.
This app is beautifully organized and incredibly easy to use. I love that all the scarf-tying styles are in one place, with clear, easy-to-follow video instructions—it makes experimenting feel accessible rather than overwhelming. A well-organized app for anyone who loves scarves.

### 5/5 — Endless Inspiration

*2026-02-10*

Inspiring, easy to follow, great how-tos

### 5/5 — Excellent “at your finger tips” resource when you’re getting dressed.

*2025-10-29*

Easy to follow. Inspiring. Be sure to refer to it while getting dressed. Worth the price. Wish a few more knots could be added that I see on social media. Then it would be a real one-stop resource. Loved the washing instructions which I use regularly.

**Developer response:** Hi, - so happy that you enjoy the app, thanks so much for the great rating!

You can use any round ring (just make sure that the interior is completely smooth) instead of the one shown. The interior diameter is 2cm, but if your scarves are lighter, use a smaller ring.

For the buckle shape a round ring won’t work, but you can use a hair band, or make a simple knot in one scarf end and thereby create a “tunnel” to feed the other end through.

Hope you continue to enjoy the app and if you have any questions please let me know!

### 5/5 — Review of Scarf Art App

Extremely useful App for anyone wanting to learn how to knot their scarves in unique and novel ways. The videos are extremely well done with easy to follow tutorials. Highly recommended!

### 5/5 — Scarf Art

*2025-02-18, version 1.471*

Best guide available for classy and innovative ways of wearing and tying scarves. I come back to it again and again for ideas.

### 5/5 — Best App Ever!

*2025-01-26*

Such a wonderful, well thought through, joyous app for all your scarfly - Hermès and beyond- needs. Hours of fun for the silk obsessive and lots to learn for the novice. The app designer also has a beautifully curated shop on her website with wonderful scarf rings, storage, necklaces etc etc. Scarf heaven. 🍑😀🙌

### 5/5 — Worth getting!

*2024-11-25*

This app is worth paying for! So much practical inspiration to make the best use of my scarves. I appreciate the clean layout and excellent filter options (e.g., scarf size, with/without scarf ring, level of difficulty). You can even filter by what area of scarf is highlighted/hidden, which is handy based on the scarf colors you’re trying to foreground for your outfit (or maybe to hide a stain?).

### 5/5 — Great resource for all levels!

*2024-02-14, version 1.47*

Super useful and educational resource for all interested in learning, improving or perfecting their scarf tying techniques. Each knot is shown in an easy-to-follow video along with accompanying written summary (with lots of details including suggested variations).

Very highly recommend to everyone!

## Most praised reviews (2 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — The best scarf videos out there

*2023-12-08*

I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS APP!! MaiTai clearly demonstrates each step, stopping to emphasize where her hands are and where she is putting her ands and or folding the scarf . She goes slowly so that one can follow her and doesn’t use “edgy” jumpy editing that detracts and destroys continuity. Her videos are visually pleasing and keep the focus on instruction. Her descriptions are excellent as well. Many of her demonstrations can be adapted for an oblong scarf. I do that. However I personally like working with a square scarf better. Folded Hermes style it can operate like an oblong scarf but it can also be folded in half and work in a triangle shape.

### 5/5 — Scarves Demystified

*2022-12-15, version 1.41*

I love this app because the videos show you how easy it is to wear your scarves in the most beautiful variety of styles. I’ve purchased many scarf books over the years and nothing matches up to this wonderful catalog of styles and tutorial videos. Thank you MaiTai!
