I love being able to take a quick trip to my local Walgreens and deposit money free. I have two issues. 1: That is that it does take about 10 minutes to go into my account but that is not the worst thing in the world. 2: it is not accepted on every online payment platform. Other than those two problems I genuinely enjoy using Scarlet. Customer service is pretty good. As long as I can understand them and they understand me. Thank you for having this option for people needing a bank account, but aren’t able to open one at some local banks. ### 3/5 — Scarlet pre pie debit card *2023-04-12, version 1.11.0* I use this account as a primary normally don’t have any issues, customer supports been great. Sometimes the app has issues and you have to wait a minute to log on and I’m not a fan of how long it takes for money to load on the account. Normally after adding cash I see it in my account within 30 minutes. I will say though some stores will not accept the scarlet card but it doesn’t happen often. I’m in between a 3-4 star rating. ### 1/5 — CAN NOT CLOSE MY ACCOUNT EVERY THING IS AT ZERO AND I HAVE NO SUBACCOUNTS OR GOALS *2023-02-01, version 1.10.0* This app or online gives me NO WAY TO CLOSE THIS ACCOUNT Everything is at zero and no subaccounts were even created and no goal cause I created none and balance is zero I had to ask you help search bar and it said I need to click a gear icon which this is not even there, no gear, nothing in settings or my account menu that says close account I need this closed I deleted the app because isn't any different than when online It's set up like American Express serve style layout EXCEPT THIS SCARLET SITE HAS NO CLOSE ACCOUNT !!!!! ### 1/5 — Fraudulent *2023-01-16, version 1.10.0* Deposited cash at Walgreens location days ago. Funds aren’t available on card or show record of deposit. Call customer service multiple times to be told it’s processing. Guaranteed money to be on card in certain time frames and never happens! DO NOT BUY THIS CARD! *2022-08-06, version 1.9.1* I WILL BE CALLING THE FDIC, BBB, CNN, MSNBC and any local news station that will listen. If you bought the card and need help, don’t call 1-833-708-3783 (cust. svc.) b/c they will continue to say how you shouldn’t have ‘checked a specific box’ for activation. Basically, this a Walgreens gift card, not a general debit card as posted on the packaging. I put $400 of my hard owned money into this card and it doesn’t work anywhere but Walgreens or Dollar General. I called customer service within 3 hours of it not working. Was told once $$ uploads, I’ll be able to use it anywhere. After 24 hours it still wasn’t working. I called the 833# again - I was told too bad, shouldn’t of checked a box during registration and I can only use it their stores. Hard earned money as a teacher I used to pay for summer bills is GONE/WASTED. I bought a $200 one as well that is NOT activated. Customer service said active or not, in so many words it’s still our money. If you have serious business to handle with a debit card, STAY AWAY FROM WALGREENS SCARLET. YOU’VE BEEN WARNED. Although the $1.95 price is enticing compared to the $5.95 and $7.95 fee for other gift cards don’t fall for it. This is a reloadable debit card. They take cash only and you will have to provide SSN information and you will be charged a monthly $5 maintenance fee. You are also unable to close the account unless you have a $0 balance. I just wasted $20. I didn’t confirm any information and threw away the card so that is why I wasted $20.
