When i needed to find a green object, I pointed my camera at the green object and it wouldn’t work, I went closer but it still wouldn’t work. This is sadly happening for all colors, I also think that the swipe to move the item/object should be a little easier to swipe.Besides that I think the game is awesome. I recommend it and I hope the creators will fix this problem. 😃😃 **Developer response:** Thanks a lot for the feedback and for sharing your thoughts! Just to make sure – did you press the camera icon when you have the color on target? You have to take a snapshot by pressing that symbol, otherwise, the app won't realize you "selected" the color already. This task will be updated soon with more precise results and a wider range of available colors. Please check back in 2-3 weeks. Concerning the swipe move – noted. We have to strike the right balance between convenience and usability, as it's only meant to be used when an item is out of reach. Teachers take note, this is a great app! Best Arthur ### 1/5 — Kept freezing *2021-01-20* Whenever I tried to use the app, it froze my screen and it wasn't moving and I couldn't touch it. I use a 7th generation iOS iPad, and it didn't work at all **Developer response:** Hi smanskiqueen, I am very sorry that you are having these issues. It is a known problem on older devices that is caused by a change – introduced with iOS 14 – within the internal rendering engine that we are using provided by Apple. On iOS 13 this does not happen. We are hard at work to find an alternative or workaround. Apologies and best regards Arthur ### 3/5 — Great concept but serious issues! *2021-02-26* I was definitely a fan of the apps format when I downloaded it. I made a geographical scavenger hunt for my younger siblings. Unfortunately none of us have been able to try it, the App seems to get stuck when trying to load the experience (when it says “this will take a few seconds”), and only a random 1/20 attempts will actually load, at which point the app freezes. From what I read the second issue is an iOS 14 problem but the one we can’t handle is the first one and why it would load. **Developer response:** Hi Walrusesofcanada, thanks a lot for your feedback! I tried some other hunts, but those all froze eventually too. If the app didn’t freeze so much, I would love it. **Developer response:** Hello, we have investigated more and unfortunately the freezes happing due to a bug in the 3D Rendering Framework we are using. Best Arthur and the Scavengar Team ### 4/5 — Very cool idea but too many issues that have no fix *2021-03-03* Changing my rating bc I reached out to developer via the website who said they are working to resolve the freeze issue and better clarify the “premium” feature language. I bought credits to unlock “premium” features but the app has no way actually applying those credits to the game. It just asks you to buy more without having the option to spend what you have paid for! Also, at the end of every hunt the screen freezes even on WiFi so there is no payoff at the end of the experience which pretty much ruins all the good things and makes it a bad experience overall. Developers should have these things solved before charging money to people!! ### 4/5 — Having Issues but Excellent App Support *2020-11-16* Neat app but needs some work. The developers were quick at responding and providing information to improve the experience. ### 4/5 — I was super pumped about creating a scavenger through our city. *2020-04-01* I was super pumped about this cool idea to help get friends out of the house and get some exercise by walking through parks, going to local historical markers, walking to the top of a small hills but I quickly found that the app limits the distance you can set check points and items. I was ok with the limited colors and item options but the frustrating part is being limited to 75m. As you also try to stay within the confines of 75m it won’t let you expand beyond a certain point, so even if I wanted to add check points every 75m around a park I can’t because it stops me from doing this by restricting my loop. 04-01-20, I have updated my review for this app to 4 stars (not 5 stars yet). I do really like the idea of this app, however, it has a hard time staying in the place where I dropped the markers. When we went to test it, I got stuck climbing a hill to try to get my coin or checkpoint. There was even a point where I had to quit and didn’t even get to finish my adventure because I could not get to my checkpoint to move on to the next event, which does not allow me to skip, so I had to quite the scavenger hunt, kind of bummed. With all of that said, I am super impressed with the interaction with the developer. There is great potential for this App! The AR experiences are fun and can be used for personal or commercial purposes. I’d love if I could just set out a bunch of items to search for without having to go from one to the next to the next. Maybe make this a ‘timed’ event without an end point, just ‘5 minutes to find as much as you can’, that you can still utilize the activities to unlock larger values gems. 2.) the second and more challenging would be to be able to ‘hide’ gems not just at a location, but inside a slide or on top of the playground, or under the deck **Developer response:** Hi evancraig22, thanks for your nice feedback – really appreciate it! Regarding your first suggestion I can say that I‘ve been planning to integrate another kind of »task« where you have to find and collect as many gems as possible in a specified timeframe. I think this would come rather close to your idea. For the second: it would be a little harder at the current point, as the app isn’t utilizing AR place detection right now and the virtual objects are placed with the help of geo coordinates. It’s definitely a nice idea though and I will consider it for a future update.
