The user experience of the app is super weak! It’s like in the 90! Typing me email blindly as it is covered by the keyboard. Why the app does not have an option to remember the address and bank account details? ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Don’t Install *2024-04-11* Don’t install this app. It’s designed so you make a mistake, so they charge you the 10% late fee penalty. I almost fell in to the trap today. Typical government scam. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t offer recurring bank draft *2023-01-18* Not set up to automatically run a bank draft or remind you about upcoming or missed property tax deadlines. User experience is worse than miserable: For routing and account number fields, developer should request iPhone number pad. Two tabs, for billing and payment, is not appropriate. Just collect the data on one screen. Further TELL THE USER WHAT’S WRONG and DON’T TOSS OUT ENTERED DATA. Could not pay the bill. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2021-03-27* This app is terrible. Sant Clara county should be ashamed for being the hub of worldwide tech and then field this piece of crap. ### 1/5 — Buggy *2020-10-16* Just want to pay with e-check, a blank page jumps out the address is MasterCard.com. It does some other random things like trying to send an email about instructions. I have no confidence in this app to process money. ### 1/5 — Can’t set it up *2019-11-23* Neither my bank nor credit union offer a way to set up a payee using only santa clara county as payee with the 10 digit code. That's after nearly 4 years after the release. I’ll probably still pay in person, but it is convenient to be able to query addressees from my phone. Speaking of addresses, I’ve always found the online web search to be very unforgiving in its precision. The app requires a little patience while it queries the dbase, but it will return the address if you let it complete partially typed queries. ### 5/5 — Looks good *2019-01-15* App looks very good ### 4/5 — Push notification. *2019-11-02* Can we get a push notification for when a payment is due or at least an option to choose a date to pay the bill instead of immediate payment as soon as account info is entered. I don’t want to be assessed a late payment but at the same time don’t want to give up the interest I’d be missing out on by paying too early. Thanks! ### 3/5 — Broken at first *2019-01-17* First time I used the app, it couldn’t find my house by address or account number. Seems the app is broken. Then a week later the app could find my home OK. Maybe the database goes offline sometimes. Maybe they just need to make an appropriate notification.
