Every morning between 12-12:30 am the app is down for maintenance AND it STILL runs like garbage every day. I am able to click on “sign up” and it will take me to the appropriate page, however if I click on any login button/link within the app, it does nothing and will sit on whatever page I’m currently on. The barcode scanner does the same thing, so the app is essentially useless to me, and I’m instead having to access the lottery page through Safari, which lacks the scan ticket feature. Please fix this issue. Georgia’s app allows you to buy tickets and has so many different up to date features. This app literally does nothing except scan your tickets….sometimes. Most of the time you get an error message. If it actually does scan your tickets, it does not add in the SCEL coins to your account. Make sure to pay attention to your coin balance before and after scanning each ticket to be sure coins were credited correctly. Suggestion for SC Lottery Officials: SC makes a killing off lottery sales. Please take some of the funds and hire a decent app developer/programmer. ### 3/5 — Lots of problems *2025-07-30* never really trust this app, it works mostly but randomly now is saying ticket already scanned when it hasn’t been or another error when entering second chance. I don’t think this is an official app because all you can do is check tickets and sometimes enter second chance drawings. you can’t purchase on the app. anyway. it is mid. don’t trust it but can be handy if you have a lot of tickets, but check them twice :) ### 1/5 — Horrible App *2025-07-26, version 4.0.9* App barely functions half the time. You have to delete the app and its cache and reinstall to get it working. What an amateurish effort. How can we be sure the scanner is actually providing us with the correct results due to its abysmal performance? Have some of us won hundreds or thousands of dollars and don’t even know it because the scanner never works right? Many times it will not let you login. I keep thinking that it will get an upgrade but it never does. The North Carolina state lottery app is 1000 times better than what South Carolina has to offer. The only thing the South Carolina lottery app has over North Carolina is that you can use your Face ID to login but that’s only when it works. The players club is a joke as the number of coins that you need to redeem to enter second chance drawings or sweepstakes is way too high. Plus, the options that you get are poor, such as entering a drawing to win a lousy $500 but need 50 coins. Why not step up the game like other state lottery’s apps such as Florida and North Carolina where you can win much more and do so much more? Yesterday I had the idea that maybe uninstalling the app and reinstalling it might help, and it did for me!!! Now, I’m aware that other states app actually include an audible announcement when you scan a winner. For instance, the app for Texas say Woohoo!!! No more fiddling with the store scanner. I can also enter my second chance tickets quickly! I did have trouble signing in when I first downloaded the application. It wanted me to change my password but would not let me. After a few unsuccessful tries, I changed my password using a regular computer. Then I logged back into the App using the new password.
