The forever there badge alert and the fact that new episodes won’t download make it not worth the time anymore. Hopefully Hipstamiatic will get around to fixing these issues and bring this App back to the level its users expect . ### 4/5 — Always crash at last page *2014-07-13, version 1.2.1* It always crash at the last page. I do, they download, then when I click on them they freeze. open app again, newly downloaded issue says "tap to download" again. ### 4/5 — luv it *2013-05-29, version 1.1* a hip zine for the best photo program on the planet. I wish I could use Hipstamatic on my nikons--it truly brings the fun and pleasure of photography back to us amateur lovers of creative photography. On my last trip thru Europe I think I took as many photos on my iPhone via Hipsta as I did on my SLR's. It turned the ordinary into extraordinary. My iPhone 4 quality is too low for printwork, but because of Hipstamatic I liked these photos better than my Nikon's! This mag captures the essence of Hipsta's playful beatnik artwork. It's only going to get better ### 4/5 — Great for ideas for Hipstamatic setups *2013-04-17, version 1.1* I do not actually read the articles but I like to use the magazine to get ideas on how to setup my hipstamatic camera when taking pics of my own. ### 4/5 — Pretty Good Ideas *2013-04-14, version 1.1* I like this magazine, the subject matter is just diet-AUX Magazine fare but the photographs are naturally fantastic. Plus Snap tells you what lenses, films & flashes the photographer took so you can "steal" them and wow your friends the next time you show them your shot sets. Totally worth a download of you're a shutterbug, amateur or professional. ### 4/5 — Love everything about snap *2013-01-14, version 1.1* I really enjoy this type of magazine. First off it's free and available online, and secondly the content is wonderful. Thin photography in with lifestyle topics is genius. Keep the music, good, women etc. coming, as well as the great photos. My only con is yes the magazine crashes, but that's on my iPad 1st generation. Every time I try and open it the app crashes. I can read the first 4 issues just fine, it's just this newest one that's giving me the problem. I would still love it if the app would open at all now that I have a 6s and iOS 10. Alas. No support is forthcoming. Even after having email directly from the Hipstmatic folks themselves telling me they know it's an issue. ### 1/5 — I'd give it fewer stars if I could... *2014-12-23, version 1.2.1* Really? It's been over a year now and you still haven't fixed the badge issue on this app? It's just not that hard to fix your problems. The app still crashes regularly and new content is becoming less and less frequent. Apple should yank this app if the developer isn't going to fix the most basic problems. ### 1/5 — Buggy & Annoying Newsstand Alert Won't Go Away *2013-11-22, version 1.2.1* Over all the magazine is great. Technically isn't as sound as it crashes majority of the time. Mind you they have had so many chances to fix this and still after 14 issues have no gotten around to it. Every time I download a latest issue the stupid warning/new badge alert won't go away on the news stand app. Really? Any other app once you open it will go away. All of my other magazine subscriptions don't seem to have the same alert issue—only with Snap! Fix this problem already. ### 1/5 — Used to be great *2013-07-24, version 1.2* I really liked this mag before. However their last edition ended up being just plain porn. Very disappointing going from art to porn. I can see the beauty on the shots but this time it just went to far. I really think they should reconsider what they put out on their next issue and keep their great magazine with tips and articles as to how to become better at photography with hipstmatic rather than adding people to their ranks with pornography. There us a big difference between porn and hip. ### 1/5 — Push notifications *2013-04-15, version 1.1* I received a push from Hipstamatic and decided to try this. Like others have said, it simply does not open on my iPhone 5 running the current IOS. It appears that the last update for it was in November, why they are trying to get people to subscribe to a broken app is bewildering. I love Hipstamatic but pass on their broken zine. ### 1/5 — iPhone fail *2012-12-03, version 1.1* One issue downloaded after nearly two hours and two uninstall/reinstalls of the magazine from the app store. Major battery drain! Plus it continues to attempt to download issues forever ... Started one DL of an issue last night with a very strong wifi signal and it was still trying to DL this morning. Good thing i had my iPhone plugged in! Overall the one issue i saw was descent. Not a lot to read, mostly eye candy. As for the app, i gave an iPhone and the app is a complete FAILURE. The only reason I didn't give it one star is because it used to be so great. I love the playlists while reading new ways to shoot with new film & lens combos. But god, I hate that I just tried to download the #Fashion issue 8 times, today (and how long did it take to get that issue!?) to no affect. It would "download," but then not open... And told me I needed to download the issue... Again? So, yeah. I *want* to love Snap! Small thoughtful articles with copious amounts of eye candy. All these reviews about problems with loading and whatnot have not happened to me. Wonderful Hipstamatic photography, and most of the photos show the lens/film combo and provide a link to more info. A great source of inspiration for my Hipstamatic photos. I highly recommend this app. I'd like it if the articles were a little more in-depth, I guess, if I had to change anything. I've never had an issue with the app crashing or closing. ### 5/5 — One the best newsstand mags and it's free. *2013-02-17, version 1.1* This is one of only two mags I currently have installed. Most newsstand mags either cost money, usually way too much, or are complete garbage. By garbage I mean that the content isn't interesting and/or the mag is horribly programmed. This mag is well made and the content is interesting and beautiful and FREE. Full marks to these guys and girls. I decided I downloaded to my new iPad Mini 64 GB to test myself. No issues. I didn't use a lots of apps but plenty of room. I like Snap magazine and great features to learn!
