They all scheduled easily, I could change that schedule any time. They worked amazingly…UNTIL this new “updated app”. Now, one runs all the time and 2 older units just flat won’t work. I was SUCH a huuuuuge fan! So disappointed bc u it’s are $200 each & cartridges $50. With that kind of math, sure hope you guys fix this! ### 2/5 — Great product, bad app *2026-01-11, version 2.0.6* The app is constantly disconnecting and it doesn’t allow me to update properly. I have 4 around my house and now they just run because I can’t keep a schedule. ### 2/5 — Why need an account? *2025-11-01, version 2.0.4* Have used it for years and it was easy to connect via Bluetooth or WiFi without having to log-in or create an account. I don’t need another new account to setup email and password to remember. After three months the machine stopped working and they do not want to replace it . They keep saying it needs to be troubleshoot before they can do anything . I set the schedule for 9a to 9p but I can clearly hear the fan working after 9pm. ### 1/5 — App barely works *2024-09-27, version 1.14.2* You have to set a schedule in the app to turn on and off the fan. That would be fine if it even worked. I cant change the times. They both stay at 8am start and 8pm off. I can’t change the days, it resets to Monday to Fridays after saving. It also resets back to medium frequency. Please fix your app. I was so excited for this. ### 1/5 — Used to be great *2024-03-07* Units have been “disconnected” for months. Continue to try the required update, which is impossible since the units are always “disconnected,” from both WiFi and BT. I unplug, plug back in, over and over and over. It’s a shame. But, I think it means the support and the company are going out of business. ### 1/5 — Horrible App *2024-01-18, version 1.12.5* The diffuser only works if the app is running on your phone. If you exit the app, the diffuser stops. Stuck in “disconnected” status and required firmware update does not process. Should we get our money back? ### 1/5 — Please Fix *2023-07-14, version 1.9.0* I have 5 of these units in different properties that we own and they’ve all recently become “disconnected” and say that the firmware needs to be updated. When I run the update it isn’t successful. I depend on these units to create an impression on our guests but I’ve found that when the units is disconnected it stops running. I’m not sure what the problem is but it’s extremely disappointing. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Worst app ever *2026-02-28, version 2.0.7* I’ve never had an app that sucked so bad. Once connected to Bluetooth, you cannot connect to Wi-Fi even when setting your phone to the 2.4 MHz signal. Resetting the device does no good. I am very tech savvy and after spending hours trying to use this app I give up. There is no way to control the diffuser while away from home as a claim. For a cheaply built $195 device and $55 scent that must be purchased nonstop, they should have a better app. One that actually works. ### 1/5 — App setup broken *2025-12-30, version 2.0.6* Trying to setup the app for the first time and the app won’t send a verification email. I can’t move forward cause no email arrives. This isn’t top secret info. I already have an account to purchase the diffuser and scent refills, so clearly I have a valid email address ### 1/5 — app is so buggy *2025-12-14, version 2.0.6* fan turns on randomly outside the scheduled times, reducing cartridge lifespan. app is buggy and worst part of the experience. will probably stop using it soon as a result ### 1/5 — Now need an account, but doesn't work anyway!! *2025-11-29, version 2.0.6* Used their home scent device for years with no issues, app would connect to device with BT, but now I need an account to control it apparently? Why?? So I go to create the account and they're supposed to send me an email with instructions to finish setting up the account, but I have yet to receive any such email. They say wait 5 minutes then try to resend the email. It has been over an hour now and no such email. Essentially the scent device is now useless. ### 1/5 — New update but still does NOT connect *2025-09-01, version 2.0.0* I’ve had my scent air machine since they switched to these new machines and with the “new update” my machine still can’t connect….womp womp. Disappointing when you spend money on a product but can’t take advantage of all the features. ### 1/5 — Redesigned App is a Hot Mess *2025-08-31, version 2.0.0* One thing about the original app that was great was that it was flexible enough to connect to ScentAir devices via Bluetooth -or- WiFi. Regardless of login state. Then, they updated the app. The account info from the previous app, including schedules was lost in the "upgrade". A reasonable power user might think, "well, new app - I can see where the account info might need to be reset because of password hashes..". But, nope. The password reset link never sends an email. The new App Design is amateur and more or less reveals that you likely moved to a single codebase-multi client platform like React or Flutter, used budget offshore app template hucksters or perhaps let some VP of marketing vibe-code their way to the App Store submission. FWIW- You can do any of these and still not end up with a garbage UI/UX experience. I do this for a living. Things like the text overflowing your buttons are laughable and made me initially suspicious of the app as a phishing takeover attack of your App Store entry.. Once I established a new account, I find that about half of your schedule and settings related save buttons either do not save or do save but fail to trigger navigation stack pops as expected. I'm actually sort of shocked the Apple App Review Team allowed this to pass due to the many HIG violations and lack of basic usability. To ScentAir management: you get what you pay for and it's very obvious you cut corners here. Savvy consumers might wonder where else cost saving measures will start to be revealed in your products. Be better. ### 1/5 — Not well supported *2025-08-14, version 1.14.9* I have several of these machines both old and newer models. The newer models have become bricks since they do not connect via either BT or Wifi. It appears as though each is awaiting a firmware update but there is no way to perform this since there is no way to connect them. Have been through all reset methods and nothing seems to work. This company really needs to work on their tech if they want to stay competitive ### 1/5 — Mobile app doesn’t work *2025-07-04, version 1.14.9* Bought this and it never ever work because the automation scheduling never worked. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t download *2025-05-17, version 1.14.9* Just keeps spinning and doesn’t even download ### 1/5 — Neither Bluetooth or WiFi work *2025-04-17, version 1.14.9* The app is worthless since the machines don’t hold a connection to either BT or WiFi. And, you can’t control the diffuser manually either (there’s zero switches), so it’s money wasted. I can get a Bluetooth connection for about 5 minutes before it disconnects. Scheduling doesn’t work, power on/off don’t work. It’s dumb. My two diffusers have “needed a firmware update for almost 2 years, but impossible to do when the diffusers can’t connect to anything anyway. It makes it so to change my system settings if I need to turn it up or down! I haven’t tried connecting it to WIFI yet but the BT even lets me schedule events at different scent volumes too. ### 5/5 — Love it! *2024-03-27* I love my scentair system and the app makes it a breeze to connect to and turn the intensity up and down as needed !! ### 5/5 — Easy! *2022-06-07, version 1.7.3* The Bluetooth app makes it so to change my system settings if I need to turn it up or down!
