However, it is way too strong. It’s on all day pretty much and the oil finishes up so quickly because of that. I saw the Ad on FB and it looks nice. After I got it I found out I can download a App to control it. I was really worried before downloading the app because it has such a low rating. I immediately regretted about my purchase. But There’s nothing I can do except to try this app. The screen panel on the product it kind hard to use for me so I really hope the app would work. After I download the app, I went to their website to look at the instruction( they don’t have a instruction about how to connect the app to the product in the box). It only takes me a minute to find the correct user manual. Just go to the your product page and you will find it below” add to the cart”. Anyway, in the app there’s two mode. AP and wifi. I haven’t try the wifi mode since the wifi in our apartment is provided by our landlord and if we need to connect something to the wifi we need to know the MAC address. I still couldn’t find the Mac address for my VanGogh 360. But even though I find it my apartment wifi is very odd I have other smart devises just couldn’t connect to it even though I did everything right. I probably will be able to use the wifi mode once I have my own wifi and router. So then I tried AP mode which is extremely for me to use. Just follow the user manual. It took me less than 30 seconds to connect to my product. Once it connect, it’s very easy to set different mode. Once you set up you can just let itself do the rest. Also when you set up the mode and put the oil detail in the app on your product screen it will show you the estimate oil lasting time immediately. Which is really cool. Depends on how many hours to operate everyday, how much to spray every time, How long for the pause during each spay. The oil lasting days will change. Right now mine says 999days since I don’t need it to run all day and I don’t need it to spray every often.( I bought the 500ML bottle) it will be really cool even if the oil just last one year. I don’t have to go to Costco to buy the scents and change them every 2 weeks. Anyway, the app is very easy to use. Not sure why a lot of people having trouble with it. Maybe they updated it two months ago and fixed some bugs? ### 4/5 — It’s ok, I’ve used worse for these diffusers *2024-08-11, version 1.1.2* Update: if ever you can’t find the machine listed in your WiFi list, push the “up” button until you hear the 4 beeps. It resets something, but shouldn’t reset all of your presets, thank god! First, it’s hella sketch that it asks for your phone #. They use it to text you a code, needlessly. They also ask you to put in your WiFi password. No way. You can set this up just like you set up an Amazon Echo. First thing is to make sure you set it to your local time and day (it uses 24hr mode). Then hold the “up” button on the machine until you hear 4 beeps, then go to your WiFi networks and select the one that just popped up. They give you the default password in the instructions. Go back to the app and select “ap mode.” You should now be able to do *most* things (they won’t let you change the pic w/o being connected to WiFi…). I’ve been able to change all of the important settings: the volume of oil, how much I started with, how many mL/hour, how long it releases, and how long it pauses. You absolutely can do all of this from the machine, too. (And for the folks that paid more than a hundred bucks, get thee to aliexpress, asap. And for really good, authentic scents try scentfluence. I don’t work for either, but I did the leg work, so I’m sharing. Most importantly, DO NOT PUT YOUR WIFI PASSWORD INTO THIS APP. And if you have a Google voice number or something like that, all the better so you don’t have to use your real one. I have 3 units hooked up and use the app during every refill. I’ll update this review if things change. ### 3/5 — In the middle *2023-12-04* This app connects and works (thankfully, but sometimes, pretty rarely, I have to drop power to unit and repower on to get it to connect) however there are some consistent issues that drive me nuts. I have multiple units at different homes connected. The app consistently logs me out, even tho I ask it to remember me. More annoying though is that I customize the names so I can tell the units apart, randomly the app will delete the names of the units, not too frustrating when it does it to only one - but when it deletes the names of all of my units it takes some time to figure out which is which and re-name them all, again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again, and again. So if the app could remember those things, it would be great imo. But tbh for such an expensive unit I’m shocked the app comes off so low-end and cheap. ### 3/5 — Verified purchase *2021-10-11, version 1.1.1* I just received my Hotel Collection scent diffuser and downloaded this app in order to control the device. The screen on the diffuser is so difficult to read you need this app. Once the app downloaded it found my diffuser and had no difficulty with the wifi. My only complain it that you need to figure out how to work around the app yourself… there are no clear how to’s on the internet.
