## What is SCHMECKT.?

Which flavor was the best one again?

With the flood of energy drinks, iced teas, hydration mixes and gaming boosters, it's easy to lose track. SCHMECKT. is your personal flavor catalog for every variety of your favorite brands — HOLY, Gamers Only and LevlUp included.

ONE CATALOG FOR EVERYTHING
Energy, hydration, iced tea, vitamin, milkshake, syrup, gaming boosters and limited editions — always up to date, with full-text search and a built-in barcode scanner. Scanned an unknown barcode? Assign it to the right flavor and help the community.

RATINGS THAT MAKE SENSE
Thumbs for taste, aroma and value; a "too little / just right / too much" profile scale for sweetness and sourness. Because some things aren't good or bad — just a matter of taste. Every rating rolls up into a 0–10 score, plus a private note per flavor.

SMART RECOMMENDATIONS
The app learns your taste from flavor tags and suggests new varieties that actually fit — with a reason like "Because you like apple."

CHARTS & RANKINGS
See what's on top across brands, per brand and per category — plus "Your Charts" for your own favorites.

TIER-LIST BUILDER
Rank your flavors by drag & drop, from S to F — auto-populated from your scores. Save multiple named lists, export as an image and share on Instagram, Reddit and more.

COLLECT & UNLOCK
Trading cards across four rarities, each with its own lore and unlock animation.

YOURS, EVERYWHERE
- Wishlist & tried status, an "in stock" marker and favorites.
- "What should I drink?" — randomly picks a flavor from your stock.
- Custom flavors with photos.
- Anonymous community average per flavor (fully optional).
- Home & lock screen widget: flavor of the day + progress.
- iCloud sync across all your devices — no account, no login.

PRIVACY-FIRST
Anonymous usage stats stay in the EU and can be turned off anytime. No ads, no tracking data sold.

Download SCHMECKT. and never ask yourself again: "What was that good one called?"

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.3.2 — 2026-10-14

Our first update since June – and the home screen used the break for a complete makeover.

A home screen that knows you: at the top you now get big cards with the Product of the Day, three "For You" picks and something new from a brand you're into. Below them, shelves that are yours alone: "Recently Viewed" with its own history (Today, This Week, Earlier), a shelf for your strongest characteristic (keep landing on fruity and you get fruity), "More from" the brand you last enjoyed, and "Still to Rate" for everything you've tried but not scored yet. And at the very bottom waits Retaste: your current month, every year as its own tile, and your all-time favorites. A year in review, minus the wait for December.

Recommendations that count honestly: which flavors get suggested to you now comes only from what you actually enjoyed. A spot on your wishlist is a plan, not a verdict, so it no longer counts toward them. Until you've liked at least three flavors, the app doesn't claim to know your taste – you get suggestions without a "because you like …". And the Product of the Day skips what you've already tried.

No more brand question: onboarding used to ask which brands you're into – before you could possibly know them. That page is gone. SCHMECKT. now picks up which brands interest you from what you view, wishlist and rate. A brand just isn't for you? Ignore it under Profile and it won't be suggested anymore. It doesn't vanish: in "Discover", under "New", in Charts and after a scan it stays findable. "New" and Charts show everyone the same thing anyway.

New questions: tolerance and handling now come with every flavor, mixability wherever it makes sense – nobody asks a bar whether it clumps. They count toward the 0 to 10 score, so an old value can shift. For flavors you've already rated, fill in the answers at your own pace.

For everyone who uses their iPhone differently: VoiceOver now announces states, symbols and collection cards instead of symbol names, in the app's own language. Small buttons get a tap area of at least 44 points. With Reduce Motion on, the app cross-fades instead of flying and spinning.

Small things, real effect: search finds "Crème Brûlée" even when you type "creme brulee". If saving goes wrong, the app now tells you instead of quietly faking success. Characteristics like "vegan" come curated from the catalog – some flavors show one chip less, but every one is right. Photos load more smoothly. And Profile now explains what happens to changes not yet uploaded when you sign out of iCloud; after a reset, the app lets you know.

### 1.2.1 — 2026-06-30

Spring cleaning, with flavor. What's new?

Sampler boxes have landed: HOLY put together four mix boxes – Energy, Iced Tea, Hydration and Milkshake. Drop a box into your stash and every flavor inside lands in your collection at once. Because nobody wants to type in seven flavors by hand.

Tier lists you can share: build your ranking, hit share – and you now send a real link, not just an image. Whoever opens it sees a preview of your list before they even have the app. Arguing about the best flavor has never been this convenient.

Now actually in your language: the whole app speaks English, German, Spanish, Dutch and Catalan – including Siri shortcuts, widgets and those little system dialogs that love to stay in English. We hunted down the last English leftovers and translated them.

Search knows every brand now: the brand list comes straight from the live catalog – new brands show up without an update.

Also tidied up: "Recently viewed" refreshes instantly, "Show introduction again" reliably works again, the community score is correct even for flavors with 500+ ratings, and the widget wishlist no longer drops entries when you tap fast.

Under the hood: a big security and clean-up pass, so the app stays fast, stable and safe. You won't see it, but it's there. Like a good foundation. Or caffeine.

### 1.2.0 — 2026-06-12

Big update! Where do we even start?

Widgets, widgets everywhere: Lock Screen, StandBy and interactive widgets on your home screen. The flavor of the day now greets you before you've even unlocked your phone.

Siri knows your taste now: log flavors via Shortcuts and App Intents without opening the app. "Hey Siri, what am I drinking?" is now a valid life decision. Plus Quick Actions on the app icon and Spotlight search — you'll find your flavors faster than your iPhone finds the camera.

Speaking of the app icon: it's new! Liquid Glass, light mode, dark mode, tinted. We spent an unreasonable amount of time staring at the dot.

The catalog now updates itself — new flavors simply appear in the app, no update required. Magic? No, cloud. But it feels like magic. Fresh arrivals: HOLY Milkshake Spekulatius, Hydration Blueberry & Apricot and Iced Tea Starfruit-Hibiscus. The entire Gamers Only catalog was rebuilt from official data, and ingredients are now localized. Also, the SpongeBob iced tea was accidentally listed twice — one had to go. It was emotional.

The shop now applies our referral code automatically – you save, and we get a little something back. Neat, right?

Also: collection tags now scroll, old barcode scans are submitted automatically, and the usual batch of bug fixes nobody will miss.

### 1.1 — 2026-06-07

• Tier-List Builder: rank flavors by drag & drop, export as image and share.
• New brand: LevlUp — all gaming boosters & focus flavors, plus trading cards.
• Revamped recommendations: a smarter taste algorithm that explains its picks.
• New rating model: sweetness & sourness as a profile instead of good/bad.
• Charts & rankings, fairly weighted — across brands and "Your Charts."
• Barcode crowdsourcing: assign unknown barcodes and help the community.
• Fully localized: DE, EN, ES, NL & CA.
• Refined animations, haptics and an animated launch screen.
