I can’t use it even after restarting the app, phone, and uninstalling. If anything else needs to be done (as a teacher) you have to go to the actual website. Can you please create a School Loop app specifically dedicated to teachers please? Or update the current app to give teachers more options?? 🙏🏼 With our jobs now being completely digital, we need easily accessible options! ### 2/5 — Just a mobile report card.. *2020-04-04, version 3.2.4* Although the app is helpful in just checking in your grades, it doesn’t help with much else. You can email a teacher but can’t attach any work or files, constantly makes you re-enter your login information, absolutely no access to your locker, screen is partly cut off on newer iPhones, these all seem like necessities when using School Loop but I guess not to the developers. ### 3/5 — Gggrrrrrrr *2020-03-30, version 3.2.4* It constantly logs me out. Every single time it logs me out I have to re add all my kids! 4 of them. It doesn’t remember any of the information. Even though it’s the same phone number and phone and fingerprint. I 😡 this app except when it actually does work. When it works it’s fine and it’s easy to use. But going through the hassle of adding every single child every time is not worth it. I have to use it for my kids district but I will be asking them to change to a different app unless everything can be changed. This is very inconvenient as we are on a mobile device. We would benefit more if we can have our course materials at our fingertips. I constantly use it to see what I need to do to keep my grades in the As. However I would rate 5 stars if it weren’t for the following problems... 1. I was looking through my LoopMail last night and I couldn’t read all of it because whenever I try to scroll to the side, it just swipes to the News section. Can this be fixed please? 2. I remember this one time where I saw an assignment in the Assignments section, but nowhere else, not even the Calendar section. We all know that the Calendar section consists of practically everything that you can find anywhere else, with a wider extension of dates than the Assignments section. But weirdly, one of my assignments was in the Assignments section but not in the Calendar section. This needs to be fixed. Doesn’t happen to often, and doesn’t affect us too much, but it’s just enough said. That’s basically it though, and overall this app is really good. I swear, writing this made it feel like I was doing one of those multiparagraph essays in English class. ### 4/5 — Good and Simple *2018-11-05, version 3.2.1* It used to always log me out, but the bug must have been fixed so it is not an issue anymore. I like school loop because I can contact kids throughout the school without their actual email. I can also ask my teachers about anything using loopmail. The homework is always posted on the same spot no matter the class. I have eight classes and it also accommodates that. School loop is very simple and easy for me as a student to use. I used to struggle with seeing old assignments but I learned if you click on the day in the calendar page it works simply. Also, the news is really useful because I can see any school wide activities. Sometimes it is annoying when the teacher does not post the homework, but there is nothing school loop can do about that. Overall it is a good app, especially since they fixed the the log in glitch. ### 4/5 — Good overall *2018-10-25, version 3.2.1* I think it’s a good app for keeping up with my grades and assignment but it would be really cool if you could get a notification every time your grade has been changed or new things are added. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Bad UI, Clunky, Unresponsive, and teachers despise it too! *2021-08-19, version 3.2.4* Scholloop remains one of the worst experiences I have had with any app user interface ever. Nothing ever loads the way it’s supposed to, the app constantly logs you out for no reason, the emailing system utilizes ancient integration, the list goes on! This is just from the student end of things, I cannot imagine the abundance of issues that educators have to go through with the constant server failures that make their rounds through school grade books. Although I am writing this as a student, I have gathered the opinions of many educators as well. There is an overwhelming consensus that the responsiveness and tentativeness to care on this app remains absolutely dreadful and unacceptable. Cannot wait until my school adopts a new way to monitor grades, If I could rate it any lower I would. ### 1/5 — Extremely inconvenient and bad overall *2021-02-05, version 3.2.4* Every time i use this horrible app, it constantly logs me out. This app also creates a horrible relationship with the student and their parents. I do not recommend this to anybody, ever. Honestly, even google classroom is better than this terrible app. Words can’t even describe how stressed out I feel while using this. Everything about this app is so plain and boring that it makes my head hurt just thinking about it. Please, please, please never use this app unless you want to get constant migraines, never talk to your parents again, and a lifetime of therapy. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t remember the login details *2020-12-08, version 3.2.4* This app is terribly made and that’s not even the worst part. The worst part is the support and on-going maintenance. It logs me out everyday and when I checked the support page, it says the reason is unknown for almost an year. Surprised that the schools have adopted this junk. Website is not the best, but it works. Using the browser on my mobile instead of the app just to keep my sanity. ### 1/5 — Buggy *2020-06-02, version 3.2.4* This app is riddled with obvious bugs. One must wonder if there is even a QA department for this software. The current worst bug is that the Reply All function simply does not work. It limits itself to Reply. 100% repeatable and obvious. Then there is the issue that messages don’t get updated nor are there notifications. Don’t even get me started about the inability to use any formatting or lack of space to write messages. And then let’s not forget that it won’t even populate my student’s name/address. Lastly, and there are certainly more ridiculous bugs, when the app gets an update, it blows out saved credentials. Every other iOS app developer has figured out how to proper update its app and creds, but the geniuses developing this app seem to have been dropped as babies. You really should be ashamed of yourselves. ### 1/5 — Convenient, but not. *2020-04-24, version 3.2.4* As a high school student this is a convenient app to remind me for my work, but also stressful. It allows my parents to see my grades which stresses me out when they are not good, and allows teachers to send home emails regarding grades. Also, it does not allow you to turn in assignments like the way the computer does through a dropbox. Finally it logs me out a lot. But other then that, it’s alright. Can’t complain much more because they can’t change anything about seeing grades, well, at least on the phone we can’t, because that’s the whole point of the app. ### 1/5 — Defines Trash *2019-11-19, version 3.2.2* Don’t waste your time with such an undeveloped app. The app does not fit on an iPhone Xs Max screen as the bottom bar cuts off the screen. The scrolling on this app is terrible as it stutters as you scroll making everything unreadable. The notifications reappear multiple times even if you already cleared them. This app is laggy and logs me out many times. Also. The user interface is absolutely terrible. The loading screen when you click on the app is not to scale and cuts off the screen. Also, this app lacks a dark mode like many other apps. I can’t believe schools agree to use this poor app. ### 1/5 — School loop *2019-04-25, version 3.2.1* This app logs me out every time i log in. I don’t even use it anymore because it takes too much time. Nothing worse then opening the app and having to log in, which also takes awhile. Please Fix the bugs because many of us students don’t have any alternative to check our grades and assignments, if we did, we would use it instead of this app. ### 1/5 — Fail *2018-10-03, version 3.2.0* I was using Synergy’s StudentVUE and it was great but people recommended this so I tried it out. I opened it, typed in my school, and it wasn’t there. I also typed in the local middle school to see if that was there but apparently the only school in America that starts with GL is some random elementary school and it autocorrects while I’m typing in the school so it completely changes. How can I use it if my school isn’t there? Simple. I can’t. ### 1/5 — WHY *2018-03-21, version 3.0.1* This app logs me out every single time I go out of it and it is literally the most annoying thing on earth. I hate school enough without schoolloop making my day even harder by forcing me to relogin every single time I want to check my grades. Fix it. Update: I’m back!!!! School Loop has still not fixed their log in problems. It is beyond me how an education app can employ such a team of morons that fixing this one tiny problem is impossible.
