Looking to replace, automate or improve your existing school bells, tone generator or school public address system? School PA System provides a simple way to schedule school bells, announcements and other public address messages, directly from an iPad, iPhone or iPod (the app is now universal, meaning it can be used at native resolution on any iOS device). Some of the great features that can save your school, church or group thousands of dollars include: 1. Scheduled bells (daily, weekly, weekends) that are fully customizable (time of day, etc). And bells of less than 30 seconds can now play in the background, even if the application is not active. 2. Select from a library of school bell sounds (get rid of your boring old tone generator today) 3. Add your own music selection directly from iTunes - why not start the day off with a fun song! 4. Select different themes / music / or bells for different times of the day or for different school events. 5. Pre-record your own public announcements, using the built-in​ voice recorder. 6. I love having a 5 minute warning bell before the ‘real’ school bell rings. I would love to be able to select more than one day for a particular bell — currently you are restricted to either weekdays or one day a week. We have the same schedule on Mo, Tu, Th, and Fr. But a shorter schedule on We. This means I have to make 7 bells for each day. ### 2/5 — Apple Music is not compatible with this Application!!! *2019-09-09* Currently on iOS 12.4.1. I could set the bells to ring whenever I wanted, I could add my own sounds, and it worked with notifications on my old iPad. Easy to set up and works well. ### 1/5 — Deletes Bell Schedule When Updating *2016-12-04* Used this app a couple of years ago, and when it updated it deleted all of my bells. I did not want to put them all in again, so I didn't use it again that year. I tried it again this year, and it did the same thing upon updating. I will not waste any more time on it. ### 4/5 — Sounds *2016-09-28* I really like this app, it's almost perfect. I really wish there were more updated bell sounds to choose from, and maybe add more emergency alarms. Something, other than a bell, for a fire alarm option. ### 2/5 — Good Concept; Needs work *2016-05-09* This is a good little app to achieve a simple bell routine in a school. There are limitations to the app; the built in bell sounds are not useable in Australian schools. You can use your own tones as tracks but some functionality of the app is lost if using your own tones. I have a number of suggestions for the developers but the only way to contact them is via their website which has an invalid email address. The app could have the ability to set a default bell tone and the ability to have a set tone louder than others. Start by fixing your contact system then refresh the app with some more functionality. ### 5/5 — Best app *2016-04-08* Live mic feature is sooooo good! Bug Found! *2016-01-21* When creating a new bell, changing he “days when bell will ring” section causes the app to crash. This was tested on two different devices both running IOS 9. It dies not matter what you change it to, it still crashes… Every time! Please fix ASAP as I rely on this app ever day! ### 2/5 — Update this app *2015-09-25* This app has tons of good features but 1 MAJOR drawback that need to be addressed by the designer. As a homeschooling mom, this has made a huge difference in our day. Pros: I love that I can set tons of bells. It is the only thing I found that could do that. It has been instrumental in keeping my homeschooled son and I on track with our day. It has been a game changer in his attitude about the day and my ability to focus on my to do list without getting off schedule. I am also able to link the bells with a song. Instead of telling my so. It's time for grammar, Weird Al's "Word Crimes" does the trick. He now comes to the table to do grammar in a good mood. Con: This app will only work if it is active. If I am surfing the web, the bell won't ring. If I am typing a text, the bell won't ring. If someone called and I forgot to close the phone app, the bell won't ring. If I sent an email and forgot to close the email app,.... You get the point. Major pain. Having paid a lot for this app, I am not happy. The bells should work while the app is working in the background. This app would be worth 5 starts for all it offers but since it only works 1/2 the time, I give it 2 stars.
