School Stream is a good app to keep up to date with school newsletters, events and announcements. Although some look/navigation feels a bit home-made, it’s legit a real lifesaver for parents.

Whenever I get a notification from this app there is nothing new on my feed. I have to wait (usually around 15-30 minutes but sometimes MUCH longer) to open it - otherwise there is no new information to view.

The concept is very good but they need to fix this issue as it is extremely frustrating to open an app and have nothing to see….then you have lost you notification banner / badge and you need to remember to view it in an hour or so. 

First world problem for sure but then, I live in a first world world.

What a wonderful app. I love having little updates and videos of my child through the day. It’s also easy for the teacher and I to send notes and questions quickly. Very user friendly, definitely recommend.

We have just transitioned from one school app to School Stream ... and from both a school IT perspective and also a user view, it is fabulous. Staff are very helpful, friendly and supportive. We had it up and running within a week!!! Highly recommend!!!!

The developers tried to find out what was causing the constant crashes but updates to the app and iOS still haven’t solved the issue. I can’t rate it any higher, because for me it’s not useable at all.

Shows there is a photo file but shows nothing in them. When tap to open - just spins out. Temperamental- did manage to see a couple of photos once which is not zoomable so can’t see face. iPhone supports this app so not device issue.

When you choose to filter out the other years in the app it still comes through. You get all of the years information making it hard to filter through to the relevant info for your year

After an extensive review of the app, it misses absentee days.

 Having contacted the developers was assured that I was of course wrong and that their app was fabulous and working fine. Which it isn’t. It has missed many days. 

You don’t have the ability to see for yourself the report you logged in the app, and it doesn’t send me a confirmation via phone or email, only on the screen itself.  

It is cumbersome to use, no auto fill in option. It is easier to call the school or email so you have your own records and not having to deal with third party people. Won’t be using again.

No autofill when completing forms, even though the app already has your particulars - very frustrating and time wasting. I often choose to just ring the school instead which what the app is meant to avoid. 
Cumbersome. The layout can be confusing. Menus appear over the top of others. Looks like it’s not a finished product. 
Also, fix the dates. Please.
