Take roll, presentations, Chromebook monitoring, etc. I love it. Except this app doesn’t support landscape mode? I mean, it works, but not with my Magic Keyboard attached, which is how I use my iPad exclusively. I can’t use it to do my communications with my parents/guardians. Quite disappointed. ### 2/5 — Unable to make calls *2023-09-20, version 4.0.3* I’m not sure what has happened to this app since school started, but when I press the phone icon to call out, nothing happens. This is very frustrating. Deleting and downloading the app again did nothing. Why is this necessary? ### 4/5 — Everything is good but… *2023-04-19* After the recent update any message typed out is in lowercase unless manually switched. I would like for it to go back to automatically putting uppercase letters at the beginning of each sentence. Not sure why this was changed. ### 2/5 — Not optimized for iPhone 14 Pro *2023-02-28, version 3.1.1* The app isn’t optimized for iPhone 14 Pro, so I am unable to access broadcasts or messages because they are stuck behind the icons in the top corner. ### 2/5 — Doesn’t work on iPhone 14 Pro *2022-11-25* I’m a teacher who greatly enjoys the service on my laptop browser, but this app hasn’t been updated to work on iPhone 14 Pro. The interface goes all the way to the top of the screen and the Dynamic Island gets in the way, so I’m not able to check messages. ### 2/5 — Needs update for the new iPhones *2022-11-17* I never had a problem with the app using my older iPhone, but now that I have the 14 pro, I am unable to click on any of the commands that are on the top of the screen. I have to restart the app every time I send a message & need to go back to the home screen. ### 2/5 — Needs a serious update *2022-11-01, version 3.1.1* Now that I have an iPhone 14, I can’t seem to retrieve messages on the app anymore because the messages are now stuck behind the battery. I constantly have notifications that I can only get to on my PC, making this app completely useless. There also needs to be a way to unselect students from a class when sending a broadcast. This needs an update both on the app and the PC version. ### 2/5 — Need update for iPhone 14 Pro Max *2022-10-28, version 3.1.1* The app is ok. I can’t receive call back from parents that return my calls. The broadcast part works okay. I need an update for the iPhone 14 Pro Max. I can’t send out broadcast messages. This interface isn’t matching the screen. ### 2/5 — Inaccessible Features not Optimized for 14 Pro *2022-10-25* School Status was always mediocre to begin with, but on the iPhone 14 Pros, the icons and buttons have not been optimized and are inaccessible 85% of the time. Usually, the only way to access them is to wait for a message and tap the notification. Also the letters in messages run outside the box when typing or scrolling the message… the website is far better. ### 3/5 — Concerned teacher *2021-08-26, version 3.1* Why the broadcast button is missing on the computer and phone? I like the app but without broadcasts I cannot send group messages!! Tragic! 😞 ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — - *2025-02-05* We use this app because it is a district requirement. It is very glitchy and works only when it wants to. I never get notifications and it will only access the last few pictures of my roll. It is not user friendly. And why do the developers think that they know these kids best and not allow me as the classroom teacher to decide who my preferred contacts will be?! There are special situations and this app doesn’t allow for that!! ### 1/5 — Better options that are free *2024-03-17* Broadcasts and messages need to have a schedule feature. I should be able to send videos. I don’t see why I can’t send multiple pictures in a broadcast to my class. The translations are not consistently correct. The app version crashes often or glitches and has caused parents to receive messages about the wrong child. I have used the computer and the app version. It also doesn’t let me receive calls. Only voicemails after the fact. The only thing this app does that ClassDojo didn’t, is let me call and record phone conversations with parents. As far as I know, it doesn’t have a message up front that tells families that they are being recorded for quality assurance purposes… so the ethics of it are questionable at best. I’ve been sent email after email from this company asking how to improve, and I’ve said the same few things for the past two years. Nothing has changed or been improved. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work with Microsoft365 *2023-04-14, version 3.1.1* My school district just moved to SchoolStatus and I was excited to see there is an app, but was disappointed that I can’t log in because there is no option to log in with your Microsoft365 credentials. I tried using the mobile site and it was terribly formatted. I hope you add Microsoft365 login soon! ### 1/5 — Awful *2023-03-10, version 3.1.1* Does not work with iPhone 14 Pro!!!! ### 1/5 — Terrible app and not good customer service *2023-03-07* I installed this app at the request of my school district. I was not getting notifications. The instructions in their own help documents say to uninstall and reinstall the app. I did so and now cannot log in. Customer service insists that I did something wrong with my password even though I can log into the desk top app and tech desk recreated the eeeor on one of their devices. So this makes their app worse than useless. ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work *2022-11-16, version 3.1.1* App does not work on my iphone 14 pro max. ### 1/5 — School Status difficulties *2021-09-09* School Status is required by our district. I love how everything is in one place and electronic. It really helps me keep track of parent communication. HOWEVER, I am constantly having connection issues. When I really need to call a parent, the call is dropped or never even attempts to call them. ESPECIALLY when using the app. It’s really frustrating, because I don’t like using my personal number, but sometimes I’m desperate to get a hold of a parent. The exact same username and password works when I log in on a computer, but it won’t work on my phone.
