It’s loading… in that time someone accept the jobs. It won’t even open, just glitches at the login screen then flickers until I swipe up and close! I’m literally sitting on my phone waiting for jobs to appear but by the time the ‘details’ are loaded (not sure what else they need other than the original notification) the job is taken. I get a notification on my email then go to open the app and it freezes. I then have to close the app and reload it and hope that in the time the job I was going for hasn’t been snapped up. It’s also bad for the students as they could have 3 different supply teachers if their teacher is away for 3 days instead of one consistent, experienced teacher that would be more beneficial to their learning. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — App is very glitchy *2026-03-16, version 6.0.2* Have had a few issues since joining this app over the past few years, including no notifications even though I had set to receive every notification. Just now received notifications for two jobs at the same school and immediately went to the app, but they were not there. Time was almost midday too. Also had email notifications and saw that the job dates were for 10 and 11 days ago! ### 1/5 — Not user friendly *2025-12-11, version 6.0.2* Complicated app. Not user friendly ### 1/5 — IRRITATING APP *2025-09-09, version 6.0.2* I can even give less than one star if it let me to do. One of the worst app I ever used. When the job notifications comes it takes long time to load and the job is gone. Also schools are disappearing suddenly from my organisation list and no longer available in the schrole app to get job notifications. When I contacted schrole support and the respective schools none of them can help me fix the issues. This app is absolutely terrible and useless. ### 1/5 — Appalling *2025-07-01, version 6.0.2* Do the makers of this app understand it’s for the workplace, and as such it needs to actually work? Today the entire app went down and I couldn’t access my shift to check the start time. Last week, a shift popped up and I went to accept it, and the app needed an update. Wouldn’t allow me to accept the shift until it updated so I missed it. Support is non existent. I emailed to ask why I wasn’t getting notifications. No reply weeks later. Do you understand how many shifts you have cost me with your useless system? I have no choice over using this disgrace of an app since my workplace uses it, but if you’re a manager reading this review to decide whether to use it or not - don’t. ### 1/5 — Not giving notifications *2025-06-28, version 6.0.2* Updated to the latest version 6.0.2 and it does not give the notification and when i check in the shift is already gone. Frustrated with this app. Please fix this issue🙏 ### 1/5 — Disappointing *2025-06-12, version 6.0.1* This app is shocking!, It’s one of the worst apps I’ve ever used to try and get a job. It constantly crashes and when it post jobs they’re not there even though I just got a email 1 second to say a job is available, jobs that I’ve done and I have accepted I’m not coming up on the app when I have done them. Fix it ! ### 1/5 — Slow and glitchy *2025-03-16, version 6.0* This app has great potential but needs a lot of work! It’s slow and glitches most times I try to use it. A job will appear then by the time you click on it to accept it’s already gone. Takes forever to load! Also you can’t seem to figure out how to accept a job using my Apple Watch. The notification will come up on my watch but it won’t allow me to accept the job with my watch. Again, by the time I pick up my phone to accept, it’s gone. Very frustrating! ### 1/5 — Not receiving notifications *2025-02-17, version 6.0* Since the new update I haven’t been receiving any notifications in Schrole, yet when I go in there are jobs sitting there that are ‘no longer available’. Incredibly frustrating that I am missing out on work because of this! ### 1/5 — No sound or notification *2025-02-16, version 6.0* Very disappointed in this new updated version of the app. Sound doesn’t come through when there’s a job and no banner across the screen. All the jobs are no longer available by the time it shows up in the app. I’m missing a lot of work because of this. Very poor indeed. ### 1/5 — Organisations disappeared *2025-02-06, version 6.0* I added organisations (about 10 schools) and when I went back on the app, they’ve disappeared and I can no longer add them back. I send a job out to my preferred candidates and it is accepted in minutes. The negative comments are from teachers who are in a competitive environment. Suggestion 1. Ability to choose days of availability without having to manually select days from the calendar- for example to block Mondays every week! Suggestion 2. Allow the user to choose an appropriate notification sound for the app. The current sound is difficult to hear and is unable to be changed. Hopefully these changes can be made soon! ### 3/5 — Crash *2023-12-09, version 5.6* The app works perfectly and very helpful but crashes instantly in iPhone 15 pro max. ### 3/5 — Apply to org clunky *2023-08-30, version 5.6* To apply to a school, you search through a long list of possibly unfamiliar schools, then to work out how close they are, you click on individual maps and pinch out to work it out. Then, when you click out to go back to the long list, it automatically scrolls back to the beginning, and you have to search to the spot you last looked. And it’s not alphabetical. The other thing is that if a School has not put a contact number there, and you are unable to make it, you can’t send them a message in time for them to replace you for the start of the day. Ringing the front office at 8 o’clock is not enough time for them. ### 3/5 — Few teething problems *2019-04-01, version 5.5* There were a few teething problems but now this app seems to be working well for me ### 2/5 — Availability setup *2025-01-30, version 6.0* I maybe wrong or not fully aware of the app, however felt like bit confusing and not user friendly. Since the floating of the shifts and picking up matched shifts are time bound, it’s notification keeps on popping up even though app is open and working on it which really is a distracting to take actions. Another concern is on the availability set up. The app does not enables or customises user to set availability on the part of a particular day but blocks the whole day which app does not accommodates and understands the shift patterns such as morning and afternoon or night shifts. Much more to improve. ### 2/5 — Unable to upload documents *2023-03-20, version 5.6* The app needs updating. I have been unable to upload new documents, or get in contact with support. I have spoken with another relief teacher who is having similar troubles. ### 2/5 — Please Update the App *2022-03-10, version 5.6* Me and many of my colleagues use this app daily for our shift work and I’m very disappointed to see there hasn’t been a single update for the past year for bug fixes and the glitchy night mode.
