I hope it earns the 5th star. ### 4/5 — not really that good… *2025-07-28* I feel like I wasted $4 because the wallpaper is good but the widgets WOULD be good if when you had it on your iphone pinned it didnt say “sc fi themes” under each every widget. its very tacky looking tbh. also like, whats the point of widgets when all it is is linked to this app only?? likeee kinda pointless. **Developer response:** Unfortunately, I can't use my app widget to open like the calendar app. For that kind of functionality, you would need an Android which is less restrictive. Open the app, attempt to download a wallpaper and continue to receive: Error:Unknown Error. I hope it earns the 5th star. ### 3/5 — So close... *2024-04-27* They do look good till you try and fit them to the 15 Pro Max. Apple let's you "crop" but that doesn't solve the issue that while the width is spot on the height is tantalizing out of reach leading to misalignment. If this was a free release then I wouldn't complain about it but it isn't. I do see the developer responding to reviews and if this is fixed I will update to reflect it. Other than alignment I would love the app. **Developer response:** I recently made a category for iPhone 15 for ones that require specific alignment other than iPhone 10+ or universal. Please send me a screenshot of any wallpapers you want to use that aren't lining up to trektheme@gmail.com as seen applied to your home screen or lock screen and let me know if you have your screen/font settings at default or set larger/smaller. *It is updated now. I hope it earns 5 stars now. ### 2/5 — Not well designed, hard to use, not enough options *2024-03-21* The app description makes it seem like it has a bunch of wallpapers for a bunch of sizes. The fact is that each size only has a few. Or if there are more, it’s impossible to get to them because when you press see all it doesn’t do anything. Also the wallpapers don’t fit correctly with the lock screen widgets. The lock screen widgets go over the parts of the wallpaper that you want to see. That is that this is the only wallpaper that works from my iPad Air. Not to mention that you have to choose between horizontal and vertical wallpapers and they don’t have the same wallpaper in both sizes. There’s just so much they could improve with this and I really hope they do because I would love to come back to this. But I think I’m just going to return the app. Oh, and you can only have one widget and it’s only one size. Makes no sense. I have so many options for widgets if you can only use one? **Developer response:** Thank you! I broke the wallpapers into specialty categories depending on screen size, and then there is a category that should fit almost any. There are just a few for specialty ones. I'm not sure how you think horizontal and vertical wallpapers work as one. Can you explain and show an example? Please send screenshots of wallpapers applied that you want, and if the alignment isn't right, I can help and maybe update the app with new categories for your size. I'm not sure which you mean by repeating widgets. Some are the same picture sized/cropped differently for square or rectangle shaped widgets. If you mean that all home screen widgets show the same image, that is an Apple limitation where the limit is one per app in broadcast association. I can't help that other than making another app (which I did for the clock). I hope this information earns it another star based on what I could do. ### 4/5 — Fun transformation of the phone *2023-10-24* Making my phone look like a Star Trek padd is so fun, the widgets are so cool too. I wish you could have different widgets instead of only having the option to choose one and repeating it in various sizes. I have an iPhone 13 ProMax and none of them fit the shape of the display correctly, even the ones that are supposed to be suited for my phone. Many of the iPad Pro wallpapers don’t really work either (alignment or look low-res when used) - but I did find one of them that actually looks good and aligns correctly. **Developer response:** Have you checked in the Universal or 10-14 sections? If you aren't seeing the images, perhaps you didn't grant the permission to add to images? Basically a glorified jpg set. Might have been worth a dollar at most. Now I just feel scammed. **Developer response:** What were you expecting included? It has all of the wallpaper and widgets it says it has. For wallpapers not fitting your screen, be sure you're looking in the correct category for your device and that you pinch-zoomed in and out for a god fit and not the system default crop. If there is an alignment issue depending on how you set your screen/font size, write to trektheme@gmail.com with a screenshot of the wallpapers you want to use set to your screen and I'll edit them custom for you. *The name is different, but if that was you I just made the wallpapers for and created the iPad 9thGen special category for, please don't forget to update this review. *It is updated now. You would be better just uploading a pic from The internet. **Developer response:** Long press your home screen and then the "+" button, then scroll down to SCI-FI Themes icon and tap it to select the photo widget. In the app selects the image that will be applied to the widget, but it doesn't add the widget to the home screen automatically. This is how Apple makes you add all widgets to the home screen. Sci-Themes Wallpapers + Image Widget is one of those rare finds! I don’t understand some of the poor reviews I read - confusing based on my experience using the app. Before purchasing, I read the app description carefully, so I knew exactly what to expect. I was not disappointed —high-quality sci-fi and futuristic wallpapers with a seamless widget experience. While nothing is animated (yet!), the static designs are so immersive that they bring my iPhone to life as if it were a piece of 24th-century technology. The wallpapers are vibrant, ultra-detailed, and perfectly optimized for all screen sizes, ensuring no distortion or pixelation. The content creator is accessible if you get confused or have questions. The app itself has lots of things to choose from but does show the limitations of iOS/Apple vs Android products. This is not the fault of the creator, but the operating system/App Store. Every few days I check and new images are added. All divided by use (Lock Screen, etc) and sized by device, iPhone, iPad, iPad Mini.
