It needs the option to make the rectangle widgets much bigger so that the option is there to scale better. ### 3/5 — iPhone does not recognize app *2024-08-30* Can’t get any widgets to load because they’re not recognized as being available for use. The directions are vague, and the step-by-step directions causally disappear before you can even read each step. It doesn’t work don’t waste your money. **Developer response:** Thank you! If not, write to trektheme@gmail.com and I can help. *Most common reason is people think the widgets are only in the top of the list with the previews of them, instead of scrolling down to the Sci-Fi Widgets (looks like it's just a regular app icon) and selecting that. There are 3 size options you need to choose from first and add to the home screen. ### 4/5 — Really fun widgets, wish there was more customization *2024-05-25* These widgets are really fun if you’re a Star Trek fan or just of sci-fi! The LCARS widgets fit perfectly with my lcars/padd inspired phone and iPad backgrounds. The only thing I would wish for is more customization of the widget backgrounds. The presets are great, but are limited to the preset color scheme. Even just being able to switch colors around would make this 5/5 for me! **Developer response:** Thank you! You can change all of the text colors. Click to edit, then look for the tabs of each text and then edit their colors. ### 3/5 — Ok, aber letztes Update war keine Verbesserung *2024-05-24* Läuft soweit gut, hat nette Bilder zur Auswahl Was aber 2 Sterne Abzug gibt, ist das nach dem letzten Update alle meine Widgets zerschossen waren, weil die jeweiligen Vorlagen alle entfernt und durch andere ersetzt wurden. Diese haben andere Platzierungen, weniger flexibel, von Zeit, Datum etc und mein altes Layout ist so nicht mehr möglich. Das ist mehr als ärgerlich! ### 3/5 — Fonts not showing up *2024-05-08* Some of the fonts aren't showing up the same as they show up on the app. Also the layout isn't showing up the same either. Otherwise, I like that you can have multiple different widgets. I really enjoyed the old clock and the customization though. ### 4/5 — It’s ok. *2024-05-03* Much better, but crashes. So,e widgets still need work. The one I was using seems to now be fine. But still… better. **Developer response:** Thanks! Maybe try an uninstall and reinstall to fix the crashes you're experiencing. It's really a completely new app and may need to refresh and also have updated permissions granted. ### 4/5 — Great Update! *2024-05-01* What a great update! The only issue I have is that the preview when choosing text fonts and there position on the screen is sometimes very different between the preview and the actual widget when displayed on the home screen. I spent 15 minutes getting the right font and position on the preview and then it was not all spaced the same on the final widget. All else worked great!! ### 3/5 — It’s ok. *2024-03-21* This is probably the only app I’m not returning of theirs. Their work is a good start but seems like they just stopped in the middle. It is a massive upgrade that can do and display much more. ### 4/5 — I love it! *2023-10-14* I’m unreasonably delighted with this clock. It’s highly configurable and I have it set to match my Kathryn Janeway & LCARS theme. And it’s not just aesthetically pleasing, it’s handy for my failing eyesight. I would give it five stars if not for the lack of clear instructions for use. It seems obvious in retrospect, but you have to add it as a widget, not an app. I don’t feel bad about taking almost an hour to figure it out because clearly, some other reviewers struggled with this too. ### 3/5 — Cool but… *2023-05-15* Can’t get it to show military time. When I build the clock in the app, how do I transfer it to the Home Screen? **Developer response:** Long press your home screen. Then when it's in jiggly mode press the '+' button on the top to add to your home screen. After that, scroll down till you see the Sci-Fi Clock icon and select it. Then you'll see the option to add it to the home screen. ### 4/5 — Got it working *2023-04-18* I updated my system and reloaded the app. Was able to get it working and it looks pretty cool. **Developer response:** Please send a screenshot to trektheme@gmail.com and I’ll help you with instructions. Did you create a widget for your Home Screen? When you go to add a widget use the search bar to search the Sci-Fi Clock and press the app looking icon to add it to your home screen. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Doesn’t work on iPhone 14 *2026-04-28* I followed the instructions exactly and it only shows an empty box. I also saw another comment mentioning it doesn’t allow widgets on the lock screen and despite the reply that an update had fixed that issue I was also unable to add anything to my lock screen. **Developer response:** Thank you! Everything is working fine on my iPhone 14 simulator. Did you grant the permissions and set a theme? Did you long press the widget to edit to choose it? Can you send a screen video of you trying to set a theme and add the widget to your home screen? *These are only Home Screen widgets. There should be no mention of them working on the lock screen. Perhaps the reply referred to a different issue that was fixed. ### 1/5 — Red alert Fail *2025-05-17* Red alert Not worth it not only that they Make it sound like u have a hundred templets to make your awesome back ground , nope it sucked limited **Developer response:** It's like the previews with lots of templates and backgrounds. It was quick to take my money but not to be functional. If you have apple products, don’t even waste your time on it. Can I get a refund? **Developer response:** Of course it works with iOS. It couldn't be on the App Store if it didn't. It also passed Apple's testing and review. Please let me know what the problem is that you are having at trektheme@gmail.com and I will reply with support. ### 1/5 — Confuse *2024-05-10* I thought I am able to change the phone to Star Trek design and wasn’t able to do so. Not happy about wasting 3.99 for that. **Developer response:** These widgets can do that style, and you can add multiple widgets to your home screen with just images or various kinds of information. Were you expecting home screen or lock screen wallpaper included? The interface will let you make the pretty faces but it does not apply the changes ad advertised. A waste of $4.00. **Developer response:** Thank you! This is not a problem with my app, but your iPhone not refreshing for power saving reasons and your settings. Try turning off low power mode and turning on Background app refresh for this app. Also, try changing the system language and back. More hints on this page. It works great but you may need to reboot your phone before it works. First time you open the app, give it a few seconds to download all the images, because there’s a lot of them and always growing. You pick the images, the scifi fonts and color. This app was not made for iMac 🖥️ but I tried it and it works as a widget in notifications. ### 5/5 — Outstanding *2023-03-19* Looks and works great!
