## What is SciCalc?

SciCalc is the scientific calculator that finally feels right on iPhone and iPad — fast, beautiful, and powerful enough for real math, yet simple enough to grab for a quick sum.

Type a whole expression the way you'd write it on paper, press =, and get the exact answer. Operator precedence, parentheses, and constants are all handled correctly. No clunky one-number-at-a-time entry.

### 2.5 — 2026-08-19

SciCalc now uses a new advertising partner in the free version, and we took the chance to fix how ads sit in the layout.

• The banner moved to the very top of the screen, well clear of every button. On smaller phones and in landscape, where it would crowd the keypad, it simply isn't shown.
• The keypad is now exactly the same size whether you see ads or not.
• New: watch a short video to unlock multi-function graphing for a few hours, if you'd rather try it before subscribing.
• In Europe and the UK, SciCalc now asks your permission for personalised ads in its own dialog — and saying no costs you nothing. You can change your mind any time in Settings.
• SciCalc Pro is now also available as a one-time lifetime purchase, in Settings, for anyone who'd rather not subscribe.

Pro still removes every ad.
