I tried deleting it and installing it again, and the same thing happened! I don't know what the app is like, it won't let me in? ### 3/5 — Terrible *2023-05-27, version 8.25.0* Won't let me watch without signing in with my provider. The only major one they don't have which is Dish Network. Update: 12/15/2018. I guess the app technically functions well, but it is absolutely packed to the gills with horrifically long and often repeated ads. A 40 minute video has, and I kid you not, 13 and a half minutes of ads; usually the same 5 ads, too, just to rub salt in the wound. Considering this is a paid service, that is an absolutely, unacceptably, asinine amount of ads per video. Everything they told me to try does not work. The customer service is horrible. I have the most up to date app and restarted my chromecast and it still won’t work. It all happened on an app update. ### 1/5 — Used to love this app… *2021-10-08, version 8.0.4* Used to watch shows such a Secret Nazi Ruins quite often, until the recent string of updates. Now even though this station is listed by my provider, every time I try to log in. Or maybe if it is already part of Discovery plus? There is some free content but it wants to link with tv provider on some of it. Downloaded to Apple TV device, linked to subscriber no problem, app loads but no maneuvering inside app. App works in Roku, just not with Apple TV and that’s what I use. ### 1/5 — nothing but commercials *2024-11-01, version 9.0.1* I’d pay to have ad free but the ads are ridiculous. if i watch a program 1/4 of the way. i go 2 another device and watch some more, with more ads, go back to watch on the original device (the one where i watched a 1/4) and it starts at the 1/4 mark making watch all the same repeating ads. than this new update added some changes to fast forward and rewind. you hit ff or rew and it just sits there. i beta rest many apps and guess they don’t beta before releasing. ### 1/5 — Taking away shows *2023-12-14, version 8.37.0* My discovery+ subscription used to cover shows like Expedition Unknown. Halfway through season 12, I have to now download Science Channel and upgrade my Hulu Plus subscription to include live TV if I want to watch the only show that I had a discovery+ subscription for. This is ridiculous and ill go torrent the shows now and get them for free. Since recent update it tells me network not in my tv package. It is. Works great on my android phone, not on my IPad. I pay a premium to my tv provider to get science channel specifically to use science channel go. If you do don’t nothing will work anymore. You can’t restart, no 10 sec skip. Restarting both devices does not work, and even a reinstall of the app failed to fix the issue. For some reason, the science channel app no longer detects my chromecast. ### 1/5 — New version doesn't work for me. *2022-01-16, version 8.0.6* I used to watch Science channel a lot and often on an Apple TV. But since the new app was installed, I can no longer watch Science. I like the way all of the channels are now in one app. But sadly they are all locked even though it's connected to my DISH network account. I can still watch Discovery, TCL, ID, etc as those apps haven't been updated.
