This is basically a collection of PDFs that sound like they’re being read by Siri. Disappointing. ### 1/5 — British Museum *2019-07-15* What a con. Do not download - it’s not free - it just keeps asking for £2.99 to unlock content. FALSE PRETENCES - why not be HONEST! Looking forward, add some VR that provides info on whatever you are looking at. I foolishly paid for this app and it is the biggest waste of £2.99. Probably it secretly collects your information just by downloading it. Just deleted the app without paying after reading the bad reviews. Provide any useful information). Charge less (maybe 99p instead of North of £2) and you're likely to get vastly higher take-up. As it stands I imagine most downloaders do what I did - refuse to pay and delete the app within a handful of minutes of downloading it... ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Not sure what the point is *2025-05-17* I bought the paid version straight away as the free one appeared to be rubbish. However it only seemed to tell me about tours to buy outside of museum. I’m tech savvy, but the app wasn’t obvious to use and as I was guiding a blind person around the museum, (which is why I got the app) I abandoned it as I didn’t have time to explore properly. Dear App designer, if this app has some purpose other than to tell you about other tours you can buy, please would you add that to an upfront menu. ### 1/5 — Andrew *2023-03-19, version 1.8* Зачем сделали такое отстойное приложение? However I paid the 2.99 and still nothing comes up. You have no access to exhibits nor any objects displayed to see. You only have the same information you get on the website, nothing new. There is no content; everything you press takes you to the same ‘upgrade for £2.99’ page. The only reason I’ve given it a star is because the app store won’t let you post without at least one star. Apart from a welcome page there is NOTHING in the free version of the app. Basically you have to pay the £2.99 to do anything.
