This AI stuff is wild. I’de say try it for entertainment if nothing else ### 3/5 — Ok ish *2024-04-14* I’m not paying for membership so only using the free features. Seems good but after scanning my face it’s only matching me with ugly men lol. Also there aren’t any men anywhere near me. Must say getting the AI to do me a funny bio was a good move though. All the photos look like professional models. So, I’m guessing most are Catfish. ### 1/5 — Most amazing catfish app out there! *2023-11-06, version 3.6.0* Wow! Everyone has to try this. Almost everyone is fake. No one lives near you. I live near a major metropolitan city. No one close. App crashes all the time. Go ahead and try to report any of the all fake profiles… there isn’t any buttons to click in. Otherwise you can’t adjust most of your preferences other than height and sex. There doesn’t seem to be too many people using this app because despite my location I was shown women from other countries and states that are very far from mine. The big kicker and what finally forced me to delete it is that no one was responding. These “dating” apps seem to be more like female ego boosting apps than anything else. I had high hopes for this one. That it might connect me with women who were not only physically attracted to me but also a good match in general. In the end I was disappointed and dissatisfied with Scimatch. Personally I’d rather be alone than feed into the narcissistic female culture of today. ### 5/5 — Better than regular apps *2023-10-30, version 3.6.0* Quality matches and easy to use. Its like it knows you :-) ### 1/5 — Not Accurate / No Way to Correct *2023-10-21, version 3.6.0* Well, an interesting idea, but it doesn’t work. It kept referring to my temper or temper tantrums when I’m actually known for my patience and lack of anger. Plus, there is no way to correct if it has made a mistake rendering the whole thing useless. ### 1/5 — Mostly fake profiles and the purported matching algorithm is complete hogwash. *2023-10-19* I think out of 20 matches over a week or so one of them was a real person. The rest I think were generated with chatGPT. And the conversations with the fake profiles were also likely either offshore workers or ChatGPT as well. People, claiming to be from England and Australia that can barely speak English. Additionally, the descriptions about the matching and about my personality were inconsistent and completely inaccurate. If it’s unable to come even remotely close to assessing me, then, surely it’s not assessing anybody else properly and if the matching is based on that it is a utter waste of time. Even the articles in the Wall Street journal about it are all made up stories. From people who are friends with the developers. ### 1/5 — Stop spamming me *2024-08-28, version 4.7.0* I canceled my account and deleted my profile almost a year ago and I keep getting notices of new admirers and have asked to be removed from emails they still keep coming. Unsubscribe is not working, buyer beware. ### 1/5 — Absolute nonsense *2024-07-03, version 4.7.0* The ai is effectively built to “cold read” people and it got me completely wrong. I went through a few profiles - there were literally 4 in my area because I’m currently in the middle of nowhere. Then I chose to expand my range a bit, immediately was presented with an obvious model, definitely a planted highly attractive profile to inspire people to purchase subscriptions. A lot of dating apps do this and it’s such a manipulative business tactic. There’s an option to have the ai determine how compatible you are. I ran it with the model. Her pictures are of her on private jets, boating in expensive bikinis, has facial work, works out at equinox. The ai said “you are only 41% compatible because she will not understand your idealism and superficial needs, and you will not accept her love of freedom” …this couldn’t be more off base and had me rolling my eyes. Cool idea I guess but people with any depth can’t be judged by an algorithm reading their photos. I can do far better with intuition and observation, ai doesn’t even come close to accurate. ### 1/5 — Serious lack of diversity 😞 *2024-03-31, version 4.7.0* This app has a massive diversity problem. . After *global* searches for lookalikes of my “celebrity crushes” (ie Hassan Johnson from The Wire) with a 25+year age range (32-59) all turned up “no matching candidates” and a suggestion from the app to “tweak your search criteria” I decided to browse the profiles across the United States and realized the problem: pretty much all the dudes look the same! Pale, bald/bearded, round. Mark Proksch from What We Do in the Shadows and Jason Alexander would get a LOT of hits on the lookalike search. . Please please please seek out a MUCH more diverse user base. I paid for three months and now that I’ve seen the sad lack of diversity in profiles, I’m sorry I did. . Hope to hear from yall about what you're doing to diversity the user pool. Thanks! ### 1/5 — Terrible app and the story of how people met are fake *2024-01-05* This app is terrible. The stories about people meeting are fake. The app is filled with fake profiles. Don’t bother wasting your time. It’s not even worth the time to download. ### 1/5 — Literally Can’t Create an Account *2023-12-30, version 4.4.0* I downloaded the app and it asked me to create a login and a verification is sent to my email. However, no matter how many times I have clicked it, I get an error that the link is invalid. So no, this app is so poorly programmed, I can’t even use it. ### 1/5 — Awful Matches *2023-11-27, version 3.6.0* Cool concept. Bad delivery. I am a lesbian. I do not want to date men. Over half of my “matches” were men. And by men I mean incredibly masculine men who probably would never “identify” as a woman. Which leads me to question if the women I’m being “matched” with are even lesbians or bisexuals themselves. Fix your algorithm to respect my sexuality. Also, why are so many of my matches written in Cyrillic. I’m pretty sure I don’t want to date someone I don’t even share a language with to communicate. ### 1/5 — No locations and a platform for catfish *2023-11-20, version 3.6.0* This is easily the worst dating app I’ve tried. Doesn’t tell you where the profiles are located, which makes it useless on its face. But worse, it’s full of scammers using the platform to catfish you. Avoid, it’s terrible. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Not you usual dating app *2025-06-17, version 5.5.0* What I liked most was that it felt like there was actually a matchmaker behind the scenes. The AI explained why we might be a good fit, which made me way more open-minded. I ended up meeting someone I probably would’ve overlooked on a swipe app — and now we’re planning a trip together. It’s not perfect, but it feels like it actually tries to get you, which is rare. ### 5/5 — It’s like it knows me *2025-05-03, version 5.4.1* The analysis of me is spot on. I love reading each comparison with a potential match, even when the score is low, feels so insightful. Definitely a refreshing approach to meet someone. From the start, it felt like actually “got” me. The matches aren’t just random; they feel real, they really seem to fit my personality and I connected with someone amazing within few weeks. I also really like that with scimatch, I can start chatting with people who are already a good match for me, without the whole waiting-for-a-like thing. And the concept of finding someone who resembles my ‘face mate’ is seriously impressive. I’m not really to familiar with technology and even writing this review is a step forward for me. But as soon as I signed in this app basically took the wheel and steered.
