## What is SciMath Keyboard?

SciMath is a keyboard for iOS and iPadOS that gives you the symbols science, mathematics, and technical writing actually need - without copying from character maps, switching apps, or settling for approximations.

Every symbol is a proper Unicode character. It copies, searches, and renders correctly in every app that supports Unicode text.

FOUR LAYERS

ABC - Full QWERTY with extended diacriticals on long-press. French, German, Scandinavian, Spanish, Eastern European, and scholarly Latin variants.

123 - Numbers and punctuation. Long-press any digit for its superscript and subscript form.

#+= - Brackets, operators, and currency symbols.

sci - Scientific and mathematical symbols:
Operators: degree, plus-minus, multiply, divide, approximately, not-equal, less-or-equal, greater-or-equal, square root, infinity
Calculus: summation, integral, partial derivative, nabla, delta, h-bar, Angstrom, micro, ohm
Logic and sets: pi, therefore, for-all, proportional, element-of, prime, perpendicular, and more
Long-press sci keys for additional symbols: element-of opens not-element, subset, superset, union, intersection, empty set, and more.

FOOTNOTE SYMBOLS

The complete traditional footnote sequence for mathematical and legal writing, where superscript numbers would be confused with exponents or indices.

KEY FLASH

Toggle key flash in the SciMath app. When on, keys brighten immediately on contact with no delay, visible in direct sunlight. When off, standard iOS balloon previews appear.

TRACKPAD MODE

Hold the spacebar to move the text cursor precisely without tapping in the text.

iPAD

Pull-down secondary characters on every key. Full-width layout with more keys per row. Hide keyboard button.

PRIVACY

SciMath does not request Full Access and never will. It never logs keystrokes, never makes network requests, and contains no analytics or telemetry of any kind. Nothing you type ever leaves your device.

THE SCIMATH APP

A built-in composition workspace for building expressions at your own pace, then copying or screenshotting the result against a clean background. Light, dark, and system appearance modes.
