## What is Scootie?

Scootie is the easy way to get around on a shared electric scooter. Find a scooter near you on the map, scan its QR code to unlock, and you're off. When you're done, park inside a designated zone and end your ride with a quick photo — that's it.

Whether you're a visitor exploring the coast or a local running errands, Scootie gives you affordable, eco-friendly rides whenever you need them.

HOW IT WORKS
1. Open the app and allow location to see available scooters near you.
2. Walk to a scooter and scan its QR code to unlock.
3. Ride to your destination, keeping to bike lanes and suitable roads.
4. End your ride inside a parking zone and take a photo of the parked scooter.

FEATURES
• Live map — see every available scooter and its battery level in real time.
• Clear zones — parking, slow, and no-ride areas are marked on the map.
• Transparent pricing — a small unlock fee plus a per-minute rate, always shown before you ride.
• In-app wallet — top up securely and pay in seconds. Card details are handled by Stripe; we never store them.
• Ride history — review past trips, durations, and charges anytime.
• Pause & resume — stepping away for a moment? Pause your ride and pick up where you left off.
• Secure sign-in — register with email, or use Apple or Google one-tap sign-in.

SAFETY FIRST
Scootie scooters are Light Personal Electric Vehicles under Greek law (Law 4784/2020). For your safety and to follow the law:
• Always wear a helmet.
• Never ride after drinking alcohol.
• Keep to a maximum of 25 km/h and stay off highways.
• No passengers — one rider per scooter.
• Park responsibly, only in designated areas.

Scootie is for riders aged 18 and over.

Scootie currently operates in Nikiti, Sithonia, Halkidiki, Greece. Check the in-app map for the live service area and parking zones.
