### 4/5 — Nice App, very versatile

*2015-09-01, version 1.2.1*

Now I really like this app, very good because the iPod has a very bad camera for lenses flares, so this is good for enhancing those.
That being said, there is the problem of not being able to choose what you want flares on and what you don't. It puts a flare on anything that's brighter than what the exposure is set on. But that's just a consequence for having real time flares added.
On the flip side, the frame rate and filters make a very professional video if you know what you're doing. And on that note, if you want to take a picture with this app, just take a video without shaking the camera much and then take a screenshot of the video. Works pretty well for me. All in all, a good app, but not always what you may want. Still worth it in my opinion.

### 4/5 — AWESOME!! But...

*2015-02-12, version 1.2.1*

This app is freaking awesome but I just wish that I could upload from gallery! This way I can include clips I've recorded before in the app and make it look sweet for a fun iphone movie edit(:

### 4/5 — Very tight app

*2015-02-01, version 1.2.1*

Works great. Like any app we must wait for perfection but a fantastic start. Lets hope some new updates are coming.

### 5/5 — The NOW of iphone film making!

*2014-12-14, version 1.2.1*

UPDATE!
The new update made this app much better, and it was already pretty amazing!

This is literally the coolest app I have ever downloaded from the App Store, it crops to have a anamorphic wide angle, and provides flares to give you that JJ Abrams Star Trek feel, and the fact that it has a stabilizing feature was just great, you get the normal iPhone stabilization plus the app stabilization!

### 5/5 — Great app.

*2014-09-02, version 1.0.2*

This app is amazing. I'm a fan of the lighting effects that are captured while recording video. I definitely recommend the pack that gives you more effects. -J

### 2/5 — Needs update

*2016-02-09, version 1.2.1*

It's needs an update it's kinda slow.

### 2/5 — Nowhere near perfect...

*2016-01-06, version 1.2.1*

You won't become a filmmaker overnight, especially with an app like this. I want to love it, I really do. But I just can't. Expansion is overpriced for such cheap quality. You won't get "real" anamorphic lens flares with this app, not sure what I was expecting. It just senses the brightest parts of a video and puts a blue lens distortion on it like the ones you would see on a bad resolution stock image site. Only blue lens flares, computer generated. To go on it shoots max 25 fps, even a Xbox 360 gamer has higher standards. The video stabilization is good but with all combined it ends up not being minutely worth it. Don't waste your time. Be smart. If you want real anamorphic I'd recommend MoonDog Labs anamorphic iPhone lens. That's as close to big picture quality anamorphic footage as you will ever get. Unless of course, you have thousands of dollars to spend on a DSLR/Cinema camera with another thousand dollar lens on top of it. But the chances of that happening are probably slim.

### 3/5 — Good enough but could be more

*2017-05-04, version 1.2.1*

Compared to the price of actually getting a real anamorphic Lens and camera that can actually use it, I am pleased with what I got for the most part but there are 2 things I'd love to be added. Please add a no color filter option and also, if possible, a flat color profile. I personally love shooting my video and make color correcting and color grading myself. With all these filters though, I have limited control over what my video can look like. The most natural look is Sunset but even at that it is and extremely warm image. By getting both of these people can have much more control over their final products look and get more of what they want.

### 3/5 — Needs update pleasssse!

*2016-11-24, version 1.2.1*

I have an iPhone 7 plus and I it would be great if I would be able to shoot 4k on my phone. Also there should be more lens flares. You should look at the lens flare app for photos to see what I mean. Also if you don't want a flame in certain places you should be able to tap on that spot and It would go away. Anyways, love the app and keep up the good work.

### 3/5 — Make it happen!!

*2015-07-22, version 1.2.1*

Would be best app ever if you could import vids

### 3/5 — 25fps?

*2014-08-23, version 1.0.2*

The only problem I have found, is the 25 fps limit, which causes recording to be laggy. If you do fix this problem, I will change my rating, since this app is what I have always wanted

### 4/5 — Amazing

*2015-12-24, version 1.2.1*

It would be even more amazing if it had a help button that could label everything. I still think it's amazing though I noticed that the resolution dropped a bit so did the framerate but that's probably because I have an iPad 2

### 5/5 — AWESOMENESS!!! BUT UPDATE PLEASE!

*2017-04-03, version 1.2.1*

The truth is that I absolutely love this app, it's one of my favorite video apps on my iPhone and gives me amazing results. This is the good news. The bad news is that it BADLY needs an update! I've recently upgraded from an iPhone 5s to 7 and the app got buggy and feels it doesn't fully take advantage of the new hardware. First of all, any video that want to import to the camera roll, gives me an error message that cannot access the camera roll or the app crashes. In fact, despite the error message, most of the time the videos actually get imported correctly. Secondly, it's very limited that the app can only do 1080p, when my hardware can easily support 4K. And the truth of the matter is that 4K has already been around for quite a while. It's been over 2 years at the time of this review that the developers haven't updated this app. I think it's time for a major update, and more so, I say it as a paid user that would like to see this app have a future. At the bare minimum, there needs to be a fix for that imports to the camera roll issue, this app needs to support 4K, and I would like to see some added features like the ability to shoot time lapse with use their selectable settings, and have more Visual styles and color grading options equally with user selectable settings and levels. The ability to shoot very well stabilized wide screen footage allied to a true realistic film stocks makes this app a real jam. With more available filmstocks to choose from and the ability to customize the looks, flare levels, styles, intensity and image parameters such as saturation, brightness, contrast, sharpness, highlights and shadows corrections etc., this app can be taken to the next level and be a real serious tool for enthusiasts and professional cinematographers. Equally, would be nice to be able to import footage previously shot with another app and apply the app's cropping, filmstocks, lens flare effects and visual styles. Equally, either improve our just cut out useless features like the playback trim feature that the app currently has and is both pointless and inaccurate since it can't preview the actual frames not trim points! we can all do the editing later using another app. I know to develop apps it's a lot of work, and I know to keep them updated is continuing a lot of work. It is easy to criticize, but to implement is more difficult. And at the price of this app, I feel it's still a great value. Usually I would give this app 3 to 4 stars given the length of lack of updates and that is missing lots of important features that make it somewhat dated and not taking advantage of new hardware that could push the app to do much more. But I will keep my five star rating in hopes that it motivates more people to try this app out and buy it, and also to help and motivate the developer in hopefully getting it soon updated and improved as it deserves! Keep up the good work!

### 5/5 — Question

*2016-07-04, version 1.2.1*

Can we upload pre-recorded videos from camera roll? Plz answer

### 5/5 — Please add this ----

*2015-12-04, version 1.2.1*

Best video app on the App Store hands down with little to no competition that even comes remotely close. If the developers added the ability to also import landscape videos and add the effects the app adds to videos taken within the app, That would be literally the best thing ever conceived in the App Store.

### 5/5 — Awesome!

*2015-10-16, version 1.2.1*

I fell in love with this app very quickly. It looks so awesome! I also like how you state that it is iOS8 and up only, but it works on my iPhone 4 on 7.1.2 perfectly, LOL. 10/10 Awesome app, awesome compatibility.

### 5/5 — Dooooope!!!

*2015-09-07, version 1.2.1*

This is the slickest production app. The UI is smart, simple, & smooth.
Huge props to the devs!

### 5/5 — Update...

### 5/5 — Good

*2015-05-13, version 1.2.1*

Good

### 5/5 — Like the real thing.

*2015-02-04, version 1.2.1*

I'm a fan. I think it looks great. Shooting anamorphic is an expensive proposition so this is a lot of fun to play with. Big thanks to the developer for making this!

### 5/5 — Crazy Film Look!!

*2014-12-24, version 1.2.1*

Was looking for an anamorphic type app and to my surprise this one showed up on the search and was FREE!! This is by far the best film look app ever! I have yet to download the other flare packs but will soon. Even as a stand alone app this thing provides wild film look properties. Very impressed!!!
