So, the reason why I am writing this review is because I think the heart system is overall annoying. See, you may think otherwise, “Oh, it can stop you from playing the game all day!” Well, that may be true but other than a while, it can make you stop playing for years, months, or even stop playing at all. This happens because when you lose, you lose hearts, now you can either lose half of your heart or spend the in game currency. Now, if you don’t want to waste your currency or have no currency, then you are done, you just got to get off. This is the reason why it’s annoying.

This game could be amazing. The idea and the gameplay mechanics are fun, but the reason this game is lacking is the forced play style. You aren’t given any room to pass, and the game  forces you to make certain passes. Level 82 is the worst I’ve seen. You get 2 passes in, and if you don’t swing the ball to the far side of the field, you will be forced to pass back and forth, seemingly infinitely in the middle of the field. There are many other options that I can see, but my player refuse to give me a chance to use them. They will dribble a bit, then go to pass back to the person they just received from with absolutely no forward progress, when some definitely could be made. Not only is it super forced, but the fact that you player cannot even attempt to get the ball from an opposition player is ridiculous. I’ve had instances of my player stealing the ball back from a defender, but I still have to restart, because they want you to run through lives. Game could’ve been great, just give more freedom.

I played the game and this is what made the game not as fun to play. First up, the insane goalkeepers they literally could save almost every good shot. Secondly, I can barely kick the ball. I have the ball and sometimes I’m trying to kick it far and no power gets on the ball and the other team gets it. Finally, the hearts. Why are they their?! If I lose the ball 25 times I’m having to wait 10 minutes to only have one heart refilled. Get rid of it. It would be so much more fun to play if they weren’t there. Make it like Soccer Super Star I have more power and no hearts. I could play for as long as I want. Please fix these things. Also make it so I CAN WIN THE BALL. If the defender touches it my player stops and just walks. FIX IT.

This game has several flaws 

1. What I like to call “goalkeeper teleportation”. I called it this Bcs the keeper can save an impossible shot by just teleporting. It just feels like the goalkeepers were programmed to allow the users to score a certain style of goal

2. Players waiting for the ball and not going to the ball. I can literally give a long pass to my player and he would literally jog his way to the ball while the opposing player would run and intercept it

3. The players follow the direction of the ball and would not try to anticipate it

4. The story is just too similar to the original soccer hero and it was just disappointing that they did not try to create a different story instead of us choosing between two clubs 

5. PENALTIES in this game is HORRIBLE. You actually have to go in a SPECIFIC way and if you don’t the keeper would save it and it makes NO SENSE. I do not know why it is forcing me to go in one direction and if I remember correctly in the last game you could go anywhere you wanted and still had a chance to score and also the direction you take your penalty should not always be in the direction the keeper would dive. Add a bit of REALITY to this game

6. In my opinion this game should have a closing and not be an endless cycle. This point is more of a hot take 

The positives I have in this game is that there are different events that takes place which allows you to play for another team or country and the graphics have stepped up a notch.

So when I saw this game I was really excited to get it, the scoreboard and all that there was seems promising, but there is the flaw that ruins everything: It’s too hard. The goalkeeper are insane and you practically have to aim it in the top corner to win. The fact that people run out of bounds for no reason, topped with the fact that I passed it someone and there’s nobody else a distance from it, but then it makes someone else get the ball and I lose it. The fact that I have limited hearts that practically has nothing to do to play the game after you get it is bad. Plus, your team is terrible while the opponents are OP, and if the opponent gets a single touch on the ball, the level is restarted, which is disturbing when you are on a four-goal level and lose on the last goal. The game has some advantages, it looks nice, there is passable story, and the game updates based on what happens in real life, plus extra modes, restarting on the game (even though there is the flaw that you can’t do so while offline) and more. It’s OK, but can use a lot of improvements.

This game is awesome but it just need the premier league to be added to it and also put real players on there to be a good game to watch on a weekly schedule like the rest is there any good ones out here to play in a week and I can get the premier leagues and I don’t have a problem getting them it is a good thing I got to go back and watch the games and see how it plays and then I’ll be back on it I don’t have any problems I don’t want any issues with it but I’m just gonna wait for the next one I have a problem I have a little problem getting a little problem I have a lot to deal I have a big deal about it.

This game has a great concept but is completely let down by your players’ incapability to do ANYTHING. They will NEVER win 50/50s, they frequently dribble the ball into enemy players after you make a good pass, and sometimes they just decide not to run for the ball when it’s right in front of them and they’re the closest player to the ball. Another complaint I have is the goalie. Unless you hit the ball perfectly into the top right/left or off the post/crossbar, the goalie will find a way to magically glide across the field without moving his feet before diving for the ball and, of course, saving it. There are other issues with the players and with other aspects of the game as well, but I’ll leave it at that.

I’m not going to waste your time talking about how cracked the goalkeepers are, or how defenders will fast forward to intercept the ball. I’m only here to talk about the club progression and story.

It just makes zero sense. Score Hero has licensed leagues in this edition and honestly it hinders the game. The game pushes leagues like the Belgian League and Eridivisie to the point where it makes no sense to even leave your current club. My player will go from Betis -> Osasuna -> Leverkusen -> barely winning the league cup and nothing else with Bayern -> two options of Anderlecht or AZ. Like what?? 

Did a new save to try and make it more realistic, and my player goes from Gladbach -> AZ -> Ajax (winning the league) and then goes to Sevilla because they’re a historic club that wants to win the title every year?? What?? Why is the choice not Madrid or Barcelona if they want to send me to Spain to win trophies? 

Score Hero 2 is a shiny reskin of 1 with slightly better gameplay but a drastically worse story and club path/choice than the original. I’m not asking for the story to be amazing but it is distractingly bad and some of the commentary lines are embarrassingly low effort.

I don’t care about the passes to a player on your team who then turns around and gives us straight to a defender or runs out of bounds and you lose a life, or the goalie diving from one post to the other to make an impossible save.. it’s a game it is supposed to be challenging and I enjoy that.. But the fact that some/most levels of the game have a goal of hitting the post or crossbar is so annoying.. you can make the perfect passes and shots and the ball in the animation hits a post and not get credit for it.. hitting the post is a fun goal to have once in a while.. it seems like it is every other level though and is frustrating when you want to play the game but waste your lives trying to get 3 stars.  Especially when those “losses” are from completely unrealistic reactions by the computer

This game was really fun in the lower levels, but once you get past level 90 it’s more of a puzzle game. Instead of smart and accurate passing it turns into a game of which defender won’t go beast mode and clip through my teammate. Plus you can’t really control how the player you pass to shoots or passes leading into some awkward situations where the player has the ball turns to shoot/pass at an awkward time leading you to lose possession. Other than that I wish the customization was less of a grind and instead of winning customization pieces you could purchase them with the in game cash. Other than that the game can get really addicting sometimes. Once you find that right combo of passes will always feel amazing

The game lets you rewind a play to retry when you make a mistake (or the game does) by letting you spend in game currency. You can get more by either making micro transactions or watching an ad. I usually just watch the ad and get more. Unfortunately, these aren’t the only ads. Every couple of levels the game will force you to watch an ad without rewarding you with bucks. This can usually be avoided by closing the app and reopening but it’s still incredibly annoying. 

As for the game itself, it’s basically the exact same as the first but with licensed teams. Licensed teams are cool but I wish they could’ve gotten the Premier League too. The original game was great but had a load of problems that this game still has. It’s a great concept, it just could be a lot better.

Score Hero (The original) was a great game, had it own flaws and so on but this (Score Hero 2) I’d say looks a bit “imperfect” . Going through this sequel, I was hoping they would fix the things that held back the original version of the game but unfortunately it’s just a bit of adjustment with the graphics and a few licensed teams and leagues which are cool and add a lot to the game. This game plays nearly identically and still has the same flaws to the original, but On this sequel i suggest a nice adjustments( Not positioning through the offside for no reason, running off the ball while on play, short passes and late move to the ball) . A Good game actually, I did see the end of the (original) but I personally was just hoping for something more intriguing.  2/5 stars

I liked the first game and basically just got this one so I could keep playing when I ran out of heart or stamina or whatever it’s called. The game is similar to the first with better graphics so it’s fun. What pisses me off is how often the game crashes when loading into a level. The first game never had this problem for me so I think it has to do with the graphics. Maybe it’s just me who is crashing. If it wasn’t for the inconvenience of my game crashing every other time I load into a match I would give it a 5. Basically it’s the first version of the game but better gameplay wise.

The og Score! Hero had a flaw or two But it could all be saved by a lucky shot by you. But then the sequel slash Score! Hero 2 It really went down the drain, it was poo The goalkeepers are too overpowered They really are a big, giant tower Their saves, kicking, positioning too It makes me go and get the blues And don’t get me started on the defenders They make me want to surrender They peel through my attackers I’m not gonna lie, I think they’re hackers And why are my players so frickin dumb I swear I want to hit them with a big drum They pass when they could easily shoot I’m pretty sure their brain is minute And why am I given no space to pass I’m not gonna lie, it’s as annoying as tax Just give us space, it really won’t hurt It is so small I could put it on a shirt But don’t get it wrong it is somewhat good Though it’s not reached the potential it could I still indeed do enjoy this game Though please fix the fans, they’re clearly fake So boom, ja, there’s my review Hopefully this can help you It’s ok overall, but still not the best But go on, play it, you won’t protest

After playing this game for a little while (i’m on level 102), i’ve come to the conclusion that this is more of a puzzle game than a soccer game. The game gives the illusion of free will allowing you to pass to any player, but on the higher levels especially, there is no chance of beating the level unless you follow a very specific sequence of passing. 

This wouldn’t be so bad if the players on your team were able to receive the ball without acting like morons. So many times i have passed the ball to a teammate only to have them back away from the pass and allow a defender to get the ball. This happens over half the time unless you perfectly place the ball which is harder than it sounds. 

All of these problems wouldn’t be a big deal if it weren’t for the energy system implemented in the game. In the later levels it is almost impossible to beat a level on your first try and you often run out of energy forcing you to leave the game for a while before you can play again. Also every time you make a mistake you have to wait for the rewind button to disappear which takes a few seconds.
I feel as if the money system would be enough and they should get rid of the energy system.

With unlimited energy this game would be playable but as of right now it is too frustrating to play constantly running out of energy.

When I saw this on the App Store I was very excited to play it because it looked like it was going to be more efficient than the first one… But I stand corrected.
1. I will play my people perfect through balls and they just stand there instead of attacking it. the defenders on the other team however go to every single ball that I pass.

2. Even after I passed to my players and they get the ball they’ll be trying to do crazy moves around the opponent and just lose the ball under their feet and there’s nothing that I can do about it. This is horrible gameplay and if you want to put good defenders then make it so that you can dribble. 

3. This is sort of 2A but let’s just call it 3,
My players make me shoot from very far away!!!! For instance I’ll be dribbling up the field and then my player will just stop and I have to shoot it from basically the midfield line!

4. Sometimes my players aren’t smart at all they will pass when no pass is needed so if I pass the ball to a guy and he has a straight run to the goal with only one defender on him that is basically behind him he always makes me pass to someone which makes the game 10x harder

 thank you and the creators will probably never see this but, please take these suggestions if you ever make a third app

I have written a review before that was two stars but I have realized my mistake and now it is one star. The AI is the worst thing about this game. The AI will wait for the ball whilst a defender is running faster than Mbappé and intercepts the ball. Speaking of defense, if a cross a ball, or I do a lofted pass, the defender will run faster than the flash and head it away. And the goalkeeper will save every shot that comes to him. The goalkeeper was on the ground and still saved my shot with some goofy fast reflexes. If I want the ball to actually go in, I have to curve it like Roberto Carlos. Then the hearts. Everything I have said before means that the hearts run out in only a few minutes, and I have to wait hours for them to refill. And you can’t even get rid of the hearts forever. You have to pay $3 just to remove the hearts for 24 hours. This game is less of a football game and more of a cash grab. The developers should be ashamed of this absolute travesty of a game they created

This game looks nice and seems like it is pretty fun in the beginning but after maybe an hour you realize that the whole thing is aimed at making you spend money rather than providing any real fun. The computer will steal the ball in the most insane ways, your teammates do the most brain dead choices and the keepers are all ballon d’or quality when it comes to stopping even the most score able  chances all so that you will spend money on their currency just so you can keep playing. There aren’t a lot of soccer games in the app but this isn’t even a game, just the chance to play 5 minutes of mediocre game play before being forced to put it down so you can wait for your energy to reload or being forced to buy in game currency just so you can beat the infuriatingly idiotic levels. Two thumbs way way way way down.

Developers please fix your game man. The graphics are good though, much better than games like FIFA Mobile and I like how you can chose the trajectory of where you want the football to go. But everything else is kinda bad.
First off, it's extremely annoying to get three stars on one level, and you need stars to advance to the next season. Secondly the defenders on the opposite time are god-tier, and there is a 99% chance the goalkeeper saves the shot. And the players on your team aren't helping one bit. When I pass to them they will wait for the ball to come to them even though there is a defender going straight at the ball. Another extremely annoying thing is that the Al on your team decides to shoot the ball extremely far away from the goal. And I can't do anything about it, so I have to shoot, and the goalkeeper will obviously save the shot.
Secondly, the hearts system is super annoying and should be removed from the game. Some levels you have to score three goals, so combined with everything I've said before, the hearts are depleted extremely fast, and I have to wait hours to have the hearts filled again. So anyways, the developers probably won't see this since they probably don't care, but please fix this game, since it has many issues.

How am I going to lose a piece of a heart when I pass the ball to my player, who is wide open, he dribbles (I have no control where he dribbles) and runs into a defender and loses it. Like how is that my fault??? How do I pass a through ball and this dude is running sideways instead of straight? How are you so close to the ball and let it roll out-of-bounce while literally having the opportunity to touch it a couple steps back. How are these runs even helpful? I had a player dribble side to side 3 times and didn’t even make it towards goal, then I had to shoot from almost 30 yards out with a fixed keeper and a defender in front of me? The curves are not like Roberto Carlos to try to shoot from far with a defender there in front giving no shoot or pass option. It’s more like you’re done. Like c’mon dude, make it fair.

When I started to play this game it was fun, but then towards the harder levels things got ridiculous. First of all I tapped on my player and they just gave up appearently and let the defender take it. Next when you cross it in for a header usually the defender goes in at lightning speed or something to get the ball.I have a tip before you get this game: if you are angered easily don’t get it. On the bright side of the game all the weird impossible motions make it funny. And it can be fun. It’s also cool that you can costumize your hero. I hope you take in my warning because I was just playing and I got so mad, so I decided I should put in a comment and rating so anyone I’m the future won’t have to deal with a game that only makes them angry

### 1/5 — Most rigged/money hungry game I’ve ever downloaded

This game is ABSOLUTE GARBAGE! You guys practically copy and pasted the previous score hero onto 2022’s version. This laziness by the developers should not be rewarded and instead of fixing the problems in the original game, they thought it would be a great idea to fix LITERALLY NOTHING. The goalie is broken and you need to be a near God to get a goal, players on your team have the IQ of fifth graders while the opposing team shares the same skill set as Ronaldo. When Score Hero decides they had enough of you having fun and want some of your precious ad money, they will make sure you will not make another successful pass. Your teams players will be making painfully purposeful mistakes such as kicking the ball out of bounds for no reason at all, or simply not even going for it, this also increases the goalies difficulty (as if it wasn’t hard enough). I get it, you guys have to make money, but atleast fix your game so you have an excuse to include ads. My most hated aspect, is the health system. You should have to wait an hour just to play a mobile game, especially one that’s as bad as this. In conclusion, the developers need to either fix this game, or completely delete this embarrassment off the App Store.

There was a part of me, I think, that so badly wanted to give this game 5 stars. Aside from a couple frustrating team errors, I thought this was a great game. Perfect for a toilet game, or offline game, it seemed as if it may be worth the holy 5 stars. Every game has it’s small errors and I was prepared to accept that until I got to the worst creation of a training level someone could possibly create. Having to pass the ball to yourself by bouncing it off a small yellow wall seemed easy enough until for some unknown and bewildering reason, they threw in defenders. Ok, so, a bounce pass with a defender not bad, but let’s add another gate. and let’s not make that the hardest part. let’s make it so your shooting a 40 yard shot. But wait, it doesn’t stop there: let’s have there be multiple levels in this training session each more unfathomably ridiculous than the last.
I’m conclusion, I was deeply saddened and disappointed that I felt the need to leave a 1 star review as well as a written explanation of why I was so disappointed by a game with so much potential. I hope the creators either fix this issue, or delete the game and reconsider their career choices.

The game is very intriguing and I love the storyline and everything to it however there is a lot of problems. This game could easily be top 3 on the App Store if it wasn’t for a few things. First off, the defending is ridiculous and don’t even get me started on the goalkeeper. Secondly, sometimes the players in offense take a heavy touch or run out of play when you aren’t even controlling it. Lastly, it is very obvious that the creators only want your money and not an enjoyable experience. I get to play the game for like 10 minutes before I lose all my lives and then I get to sit and wait for another 2 hours just to play again. It’s absurd and I can’t believe a game with the potential like this one has to be ruined by money hungry creators. Ads everywhere and constantly wanting you to spend money on their app. They should’ve made the app like $2 and then never asked for a single penny ever again. This game got destroyed by the bad mechanics and the pay to simply play the game mentality.

This game is so much worse than the first. 1. The keeper is always like Ter Stegen on crack cuz nothing goes in 2. Opposition players can sprint from one side to the other just so they can intercept a through ball, even when the level requires a through ball 3. My players’ first touches and decisions are so bad, like I would pass the ball and he’ll dribble it out like, why? 4. Why not have ad videos to gain life? 5. So I tried to cross a ball once and it deflected off a defender and it went in, but guess what, NO GOAL. Also I would make some passes and the defender’s godlike defensive skills would intercept or kick the ball away, BUT IT WOULD GO TO MY PLAYERS, yet it won’t count the ball that it’s mine and woo hoo I lost a life 6. I noticed that when payment is done for more life or whatever, you can actually finish the level you’re at no matter how many goals and passes and errors, with no problems at all, I guess screw consumer rights, right?

Ok a few criticisms…

WHY ARE THE OTHER TEAMS SO BROKEN!
I’ll be about 30 feet away and out of no where I see someone from the other team somehow run fast enough to block the ball from me. Not only that but their hit box are always active and too big. Literally if you have the ball and your character just slightly run past the other team player, you somehow lose the ball. And usually I am not a fan of mobile game ads but what’s the point of removing them. Money? Ignorance? The main point of a game is to keep a player to keep playing but you keep pushing people to pay to keep playing and that ain’t cool. And the timer to wait to play again is crazy. It says it’ll be done within 13 -20 minutes, you come back and it’s only still on the first heart. Look, I like the concept of the game but now they only made a sequel just to make money and not to let people have fun.

I rated it 5 starts just so people will see it. My real rating is 3 stars. The game is really fun, but the players are not smart at all! I once passed an easy pass to one of my teammates, but he literally ran away from the ball. I know that the game uses artificial intelligence but you really need to update the players. Also, sometimes I lose the ball when it is not even my fault! Once my player was dribbling the ball and then it said “Retry?” No one ever came near the ball but it still happened. Please fix these thing!

So I say this is a very good game cuz it is, the only thing that’s weak is the bugs that are true that the gk is too op defense is way better and players running out of bounds or into defenders or players being in offsides. This could all be fixed but it makes the game more competitive. This game is amazing for many reasons, it’s an actual soccer career ur managing. It is very fun and u want to win for ur team and ur national team. The only thing I would add is more customization and different like pick whatever number u want or like body customization on.

The game is great except they dont mention that the opposing players have superhuman abilities. It would be great if they listed the players that can move backwards and up in the air at the same time to intercept a pass. And also list the ones with superhuman speed just so we know what to expect from level to level. And all the opposing players seem to have the ability to read minds because they seem to know where im passing the ball but my own player could be 6 inches away and watch it roll on by lol. But other than not mentioning the fact that we are competing against the laws of physics as well as the opposing team, I love the game :)

I’ve had a lot of fun with the original Score Hero, and now it’s been updated with the graphics and physics from DLS 2020, along with licensing for real clubs and an infinite hero mode (sounds interesting, but I haven’t unlocked it yet). The only thing that annoys me is the randomness of the character customization. I just want to put hair like mine on my character, but to do that I have to pay 50 precious in game bucks for a spin out of 19 random hairstyles. Small gripes aside though, this is a solid update to a classic game!

As a game, it’s really fantastic, like the original. They improved the graphics a bit here and added some customization features I don’t personally use which but probably do appeal to some players. 

However, ever since the most recent update came out a few days ago, it crashes constantly. Even when it doesn’t crash the game can be laggy or hang up on you. It seems as though it’s very bandwidth heavy and my iPhone 8 can’t handle it. Hope they fix it with a patch soon.

I really enjoy playing this game to kill time and it gets quite fun, and some levels are challenging because you have to make the right passes to the right player or else you have to start over, I bought the unlimited energy I used it for a day and it helped me with the levels I was having trouble with, but what’s the whole point of having unlimited energy if you don’t have it forever, I just wasted my money thinking it was a permanent. I hope this “unlimited” energy purchase actually becomes a permanent purchase, unnecessary waste of money.

I love this game series so much and I absolutely love the sequel but the defenders are just made by god themselves. They are so good it’s like I’m playing against prime Ramos and don’t even get me start with the goalkeeper. He’s the best gk I ever see in my life. He runs out of his box faster then neuer, reflexes better then yashin, kicking better then ederson, and diving better then Navas. Some levels are almost impossible it takes me days to complete. Also the teammates can be SO stupid some times, like why would you pass it to no one when you have a clear shot or when they do unnecessary moves and end up losing the ball. I love this game so much but PLEASE make the defenders worse and the teammates to do unnecessary moves.

I loved the first game but that game had its problems and the second game did fixed some of them. But unfortunately their game came with much more problems. First of all the defender’s AI is way to overpowered. Like it looks like the gods gave them defending powers or something. Also my players keep losing the ball it’s so hard to play when that happens. In fact it makes me feel as if the creators did this so that we buy the 24 hour energy since all those factors make us lose energy quickly. So please fix this game. But the game does look better than the first but please fix the problems and fix my players weird chin.

I absolutely loved the first game to death. It literally defines a part of my childhood sitting bored in high school classes or a lame family function playing this game for hours. The only problem I ever had was the defenders were sent from the heavens. These guys will straight up slide 15-20 meters to get the ball and/or press your player like it’s the 90th minute in the World Cup Final. IT SOMEHOW GOT WORSE IN THE SECOND. Now don’t get me wrong this second game is good the graphics and overall feel is soooo much better. But i’m not even at level 50 and this game has made me want to throw my phone at a brick wall. Please for the life of me take the defenders off god-tier. I’ve said my peace, thank you.

It has a lot of good things. The art, ai etc are great. It’s highly optimized considering how expensive the graphics should have been.
The game design is bad if you compare it to other aspects. It’s not forgiving it all. Even if you get the ball after the slightest enemy touch it’s a fail state. Unexpected tackles take place a lot where the defenders come out like superman. The goalkeeper is actually Superman making saves that are very very difficult. Maybe if the goalkeeper had a cape, it would make sense. Very small percentages of crosses actually reach the player.
