### 4/5 — Pretty good

*2026-03-11*

Colors don’t work

### 4/5 — Good App

*2019-01-10*

I performed a few practice rounds first as there is quite a bit of data to input to get going.

Plus’s I do like the reports it creates.

Minus’s a little to much toggling to get specific stats. Especially, for indoor Futbol. It’s to fast paced of a game to use this app.

So I created a spreadsheet exactly like the one the app will populate and we take stats the old fashioned way and then come back and input the data. This works well for getting the data but your game log will not show specific times of a certain shot or tackle.

I do use the clock and the substitutions to track the data on minutes. This works well. So all in all.

I’m impressed.

Have yet to see if it will populate end of season results by compiling all matches within a certain season.

### 3/5 — Good for what it does, not customizable or meant for fast stat taking

*2017-11-26*

It does what the screenshots show. If you want to take different stats (such as pass completion) you can’t customize it to do so. I bought it hoping I could add my own stats (yes I know it doesn’t list that as a feature).

### 3/5 — Need more customize button options

*2017-10-22*

Get rid of "own goal" button and perhaps others so we can log events we are interested in.

### 4/5 — Fun and easy to use

*2015-09-12, version 2.6.2*

Score Soccer is definitely the easiest soccer stat App I've tried. Soccer doesn't compare to baseball or basketball in terms of the abundance of stats to monitor but this makes it easy to track playing time, shots, fouls etc. You can customize 2 of your own stars. Would love to see passing and possession but those are complicated in other Apps.

### 4/5 — Solid & Simple Stats App

*2015-03-04*

Over used this app for an entire season of keeping soccer stats (previous version), and now using the latest version for our current season.

Overall we like the app. It allows you to track stats quickly and gives us a lot of information. We especially like the shots map for our team and competitors.

In the new version, a lot of the buttons went away and you now just touch areas or text for the same actions. This was confusing at first but I've started getting used to it. I think the intent is to make it simpler to use and it will but when you are fumbling around during a game for a stop clock button for example it's cumbersome.

I wish there was integrated help or help documents. Figuring things out for the first time can take some trial and error.

Also I'm still have no trouble syncing data between iPads. I have tried many things mess with this and the previous version. The sync starts and just runs for a long time. There is no indication of files transferring, percent complete or anything. We have a lot of data and I expect it to take a while but without indicators I don't know. I usually give up and stop the process. In comparison I was able to back my data up to Dropbox (in app feature) in about 20 seconds.

Again overall we really like this app. It's still not perfect but is the best we've seen especially for the price.

### 3/5 — Update 2.6.1 introduced errors

*2014-11-02, version 2.6*

Custom Notes no longer show up in event list or in the export.
The game clock controls (though hidden) are better. This app generally meets my needs; would like shot direction at goal.

### 4/5 — Beats paper

*2014-03-26, version 2.5.2*

Love this app. It beats paper all to heck, especially when it raining. The only thing I wish it did, most team wear white when home and their colors when away, wish it could recognize this. When you got 2 teams with the same color this would help. Other then that, I have turned several others onto it.

### 4/5 — Update after a year of use

*2014-02-09*

Update: Twitter is not working and I haven't had any response from support when I asked for help. There needs to be a way to change (or even edit/view) twitter info. I use this for multiple teams with different twitter accounts and can not log in in any way, leaving that feature useless.

Original review:

This app is great - I figured it out by the end of the first game and now the parents love getting the stats and shot charts emailed to them after the game. I notice some reviewers would like this this or that added, but I honestly feel the app is very user friendly and efficiently laid out.

### 3/5 — bluetooth transfer

*2013-09-17, version 2.4.6*

Good basic app. I'm not happy with the bluetooth transfer of data. It takes forever. I'm not sure what the data rate is on a bluetooth transfer. We are currently using two I pads to score games and would like to keep the data on one I pad. I couldn't find any instructions on the bluetooth transfer. I do like the ease of sending game score and stats to the local newspapers right after the game has finished. We are currently using the app for High School girls soccer.

### 3/5 — Good app but can not transfer data correctly

*2013-09-13, version 2.4.6*

The app works pretty good and is pretty straightforward for basic stats. The only real bug is when trying to transfer data to iPhone or other device it gives all scores to the goalie!!?? Paid $4.95 and I can't use it to email out stats quickly due to this issue. Wish they would add ability to add headers, crosses and even time of possession. Good basic app.

### 3/5 — Player stats

*2013-09-06, version 2.4.5*

Good app but when I try to add a stat to my team players the other teams players info shows up under my team name stats. This is happening for the following stats( foul, steal, turnover, corner kicks, own goals). The other stat seem to be working fine.

Please correct as I am not able to capture the correct information.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Will keep looking

*2018-09-10*

Requires too much tapping and selecting to get the stats entered. Impossible to watch and follow the game because I was constantly looking at my phone trying to enter the data.

### 1/5 — Great APP

*2016-10-07, version 2.7.1*

I have been using the app for three years now. Great APP. Time of possession (TOP) was an added bonus this year. However, the TOP clock has ended up greater in time than the total time of the game in a few games. Please fix the bug.

### 1/5 — Soccer Score

*2014-10-24, version 2.6*

This app has it's ups and downs. Since the latest upgrade however, it's more downs. Can't see the playing time when tracking playing time and still only have to custom boxes for scoring.

Before the app was changed with the latest version, it was what I needed. Now I can't track playing time even with the indicator turned on in the tools section.

The other thing I can't seem to find is a help screen. The tips and tricks section is insignificant.

On the clock, it keeps running at the end of each period. It needs to stop at the end of the period. Extended time is not automatic in youth soccer. There should be a tab to add extended time if it's needed.

I would not recommend this app.

### 1/5 — Not worth using

*2013-08-17, version 2.4.4*

This app brings new meaning to "clunky". It is nearly impossible to use and in no way intuitive. Design is horrible, possibly the worst I've ever seen (I have used more than 500 apps).

### 1/5 — Good, but...

*2009-04-10, version 0*

Need to revise my previous 4 star rating. The system has crashed during our last two HS matches. Last night, as I added a shot late in the first half, the screen went blank, then went to the iPhone home screen. I reopened the Soccer program and the teams from the previous night were listed! In fact, the time was at about 25 hours - just about the time since the previous game. I can't depend on this program to help me accurately keep the Stats for our HS team. I'll go back to paper.

Consider adding the following:
1. Ability to save matches on the iPhone so you can recall them later. Perhaps as a report similar to the csv report.
2. Add "fouls committed by" with an entry for the "free kick taken by."
3. Add offsides.

### 2/5 — Player buttons

*2015-02-08, version 2.6.1*

I wish there was a player button for the 11 on the field just like your sister app hoopstats. I think this would help tracking player time and save time during the game

### 2/5 — Bluetooth Transfer Issue

*2012-10-02, version 2.4*

Transferring games from the host device to the receiver does not work properly. It gives the goal tender that was scored on credit for the goal. Once this issue is fixed I will give it a higher rating but it is useless for our league,

### 3/5 — Export problems

*2019-08-14*

The app is great but I cannot export anymore and the WiFi connection won’t work. Please help

### 3/5 — Needs Updating

*2019-04-23*

I have used this app for three seasons of high school soccer. This season, functions have started not to work. I haven’t been able to share to Twitter at all this season, and now the Bluetooth transfer and Dropbox Restore have started not working. The app could use an update to these functions as well as general improvements to be a bit less complicated with buttons. I only use the “Shot” and “Own Goal” buttons and would love the option to remove the others so they aren’t crowding the screen.

### 3/5 — Manual or “how to” would be nice!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great App. Spectacular Service.

*2017-09-30*

I have been using this App for the last 3 years and I have requested some changes and recently encountered a problem with the latest update. In both cases the designer responded almost immediately and implemented the changes. It is obvious that customer support is important to the designer. Keep up the good work. Thanks!

### 5/5 — Best Scoring App Available!!!

*2016-09-26*

We (I) have tried every soccer scoring app available and this is the best one out there! Simple interface makes it easy to keep up with every stat imaginable, and now it even includes a time of possession tracker (I believe it is the only out there that does). Out of the box reports are good, but if you need to go further, stats are in a .sqlite file which is completely mineable.

I have been using the app for 3 years now, and have converted 4 more high schools and 6 other club teams to start using it!

Cheers, Enjoy, & Go Admirals!

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2015-11-22, version 2.6.2*

Really easy to use while watching the game. Collects all relevant stats. Each game or entire seasons can be easily email exported to Excel. The Twitter feed is very cool to instantly communicate to parents back home while at out of state college scouting tournaments. 5 stars all day long!

### 5/5 — Perfect

*2015-08-26, version 2.6.1*

This app has worked great for me for three seasons now.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2014-11-01, version 2.6*

Been a user of the app for the past 3 years and it keeps getting better. In addition to allowing me to easily track stats, I can now customize the stats I track. Several other parents have now joined in to live tweet games for those parents who can't make a particular game to follow along live!!!Awesome!!!

### 5/5 — Love It

*2014-10-14, version 2.5.2*

I have been using the app for almost 3 years now and I have loved it. I have recommended it to various coaches at the JC, High School and the club level.

With iOS 8, when I bring up a new entry, the fields, such as keeper and team, are blank but are populated after adding the shooting player. Small issue. The field has also been shrunk. Both minor issues do not affect the overall functionality of the app nor the ease of the app.

### 5/5 — Fantastic App - a must for any coach or team manager

*2014-05-03, version 2.5.2*

I've been looking & this is the one. Easy to use & mostly intuitive (couple of tricks to learn) and does it all - tracks players, scores & the season. Well done - first time I've given 5 stars.

### 5/5 — Definitely worth the money

*2013-10-27, version 2.4.6*

I've used this app for about three seasons. It is user-friendly, intuitive and has the ability to keep track of more than I need.

They are quick to release updates to fix bugs and have found a way to make a powerful app, very flexible. The more I use it, the more I like it.

### 5/5 — Does everything i need.

*2013-09-18, version 2.4.6*

I dont need every detail. This app does just what i want and need.

### 5/5 — Shots

*2013-09-11*

Great app. Well worth the few dollars. The reports are excellent for analytically minded coaches capable of recognizing strengths or exposing weaknesses of players based on field placements of shots/fouls.

This app needs three things:
1. Not every shot results in a goal keeper being credited with a save. Sometimes defenders block the shot or clear the ball out. There should be an option to tally a shot with 'no save' as the result. That way when reporting stats to newspapers after games, you don't omit shots or embellish saves numbers.

2. Sometimes shots are both high and wide. As a coach, I'll take wide misses all day. That means the kids are aiming for the corners and not just kicking at the keeper. High is less tolerable and requires adjustments and technique training. High and wide is just bad form and needs to be fixed. Knowing which players do that would benefit the coaching they receive and the team as a whole. It needs a 'high and wide' option as the result of a shot.

3. The excel spreadsheets don't export properly. One column heading has two "tags" but the columns beneath it with the data are split into two separate columns. It forces the data to populate with its alignment off by one column as a result. Everything is shifted one cell to the right from where its corresponding column heading is. This is a MUST FIX!
