For the people who follow live scoring and have a vested interest in the stats please do not give this app anymore credit for not delivering. It feels like the app is still in the development stage, and is not even close to being up to the standard we’ve been used to for so long with Golfstat. I thought I would at least give it a chance, even through all the criticism. But it flat out doesn’t work, not even a single tournament leaderboard will load. What were they thinking? I have coached high school golf for 30+ years and have former players playing at the D1, D2, and D3 levels. I enjoy checking in to watch their progress at various events. All I get to watch on this scoring app is the wheel spinning round and round….😖 What a setback by the NCAA if this as good as it gets.😳 ### 1/5 — Very disappointed *2023-09-02* The NCAA mandated our teams use this app and it is horrible. Could not see scores of golfers the whole tournament. Constantly spinning (loading) and was super slow. Couldn’t get it to load, when it finally did after many tries, I found the tournament and clicked on the scoreboard…it would’t load. In the hotel after dinner, I tried it again…it loaded and I found the tournament, scoreboard finally loaded, but just a blank screen for the team scores. Individual player scores were there, but 90% of them were wrong. Tournament was over hours earlier and half the players showed they had 9 holes or more to play. Second day it wouldn’t even load, nothing but a gray screen. Awful app! ### 1/5 — Huge step back, horrible *2023-09-02* Been around college golf and many amateur tournaments for years and this year our college team was told to use this app instead of GolfStat… Absolutely worthless and horrible, never loaded for parents and fans trying to follow and players said their side kept kicking them out. This app will not load anything. Hopefully it will update before the tourney is over. ### 1/5 — GOLFSTAT IS BETTER. *2024-09-30* Terrible website and app. There needs to be a full overhaul of the usability and features. Why’s it’s bad: 1. Team views are terrible. It does not show any individuals on the team and does not even show the round when in hole by hole view. Just shows tournament total for each team. 2. You can’t see any hole by hole for individuals. 3. No hole stats, such as birdies, pars, and par 3 or par 4 scoring by player or team. 4. The only way to see how an individual is doing is looking at the player leaderboard. 5. Once a tournament finishes (the second it does) it moves over to latest tournaments. 6. Takes up to an hour to load scores from a live tournament. 7. Does even show yardages for each hole. Only two advantages over golfstat: 1. You can filter on men’s/women’s and different divisions on the live scoring or latest tournaments. 2. Has logos for each school on the team leaderboard (such a minute advantage though). Every tournament on golfstat is being well received by all coaches, players and spectators. Simply useless today. ### 1/5 — Awful *2024-09-10* This app is so awful so to have a large organization like the NCAA put their reputation behind it should be embarrassing. The app itself isn’t intuitive at all. Once you find the tournament, and if it’s actually working, you can’t “favorite” players so you have to scroll through the hole by hole list every time you want to find a player’s score. However, you have to be fast because that page refreshes about every 15-20 seconds and pops you back up to the top for you start over and scroll again. On the team’s page, you can’t see hole by hole of the players and Individuals not playing as part of the team are basically just lost in the app. There are no tournament stats like before, and there are no team stats to review. Please get it together and fix the issues and usability of the app or the NCAA needs to go back to GolfStat.
