## What is Scorecard?

Scorecard: Game Night is a scorepad for the games you already own. Pick the game, add the players, and score it round by round.

NO ACCOUNT, NO ADS
There is no sign-in, no subscription, no in-app purchase and no advertising. There is also no server — nothing you score leaves your own devices, no analytics are collected, and there is no account to make because there is nothing to attach one to. Everything works offline.

EVERYONE SCORES FROM THEIR OWN PHONE
One device hosts the game and the others join it over your own Wi-Fi network, directly, with no internet connection and nothing in the middle. A score entered anywhere appears everywhere. It works across platforms too: whichever phone someone brought, they can join the same scorecard, so nobody has to pass the pad around.

PUT IT ON THE TELEVISION
Show on TV sends a live scoreboard to the Apple TV app for everyone in the room to read. The television is display-only — scoring stays on the device you are holding, and the board stays current as each round is scored.

THE GAMES IT KNOWS
7 Wonders, Antiquity Quest, Canasta, Clue, Compania, Cover Your Assets, Dominion, Elimino, Five Crowns, Flip 7, Flip 7: With a Vengeance, Fromage, Gnoming A Round, Hand and Foot, Hearts, The Isle of Cats, Magic, Munchkin, Nertz, Pegs and Jokers, Pinochle, Ripple, Rummy, Scotland Yard, Scrabble, Settlers of Catan, Shards of Creation, Skull King, Skyjo, Spades, Wingspan and Yahtzee.

Several ask which expansions are on the table and score only those rows. Scrabble takes the word you played rather than a number and works the points out against a built-in word list. Pegs and Jokers is the board itself rather than a scorecard, so the game travels without the wood.

THE ONES PLAYED STANDING UP
Badminton, Basketball, Football, Golf, Pickleball, Racquetball, Soccer, Squash, Table Tennis, Tennis and Volleyball have a tab of their own. Each draws its own court or field, and the drawing is how you score it: tap where the play happened and the zone says what it was worth. Basketball also plays H-O-R-S-E, and Golf keeps a round of disc golf as readily as a round of golf.

WHEN NOTHING FITS
Basic Scoring for anything played in rounds, Points Counter for a single running tally, Rounds Won for games decided by hands, Long-Term Scorecard for a season that runs for weeks, and Tournament for a bracket. There is a dice roller, and Pick a Player settles who goes first or splits you into teams that come out even.

ON YOUR WRIST
The Apple Watch app scores all eleven sports on its own — Badminton, Basketball, Football, Golf, Pickleball, Racquetball, Soccer, Squash, Table Tennis, Tennis and Volleyball — plus Rounds Won and Points, and it mirrors a game running on your phone. It can record a workout while you play, so a game counts toward your rings.

KEPT, NOT LOST
Games save as you score, so closing the app mid-round loses nothing. Finished games move to an archive and can be exported as a PDF. Your settings, player roster and favourites follow you between your own Apple devices through iCloud. Every game explains itself the first time you open it, and again from its menu whenever somebody new joins.

iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple TV and Apple Watch, in thirteen languages — English in Australian, Canadian, Indian, British and American spelling among them.

Scorecard: Game Night is an independent scorekeeping app. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by the publishers of any game it can keep score for.

## Is Scorecard safe?

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.6 — 2026-10-01

BOWLING
Ten-pin, candlepin, duckpin and five-pin, on the Sports tab. Enter each ball as a count or tap the pins that fell — the pad only offers what is still standing. Under the bowler who is up, Scorecard explains what the next ball is worth: how many frames it counts in, and what each result would leave you with. Spare tips say where to aim at what is left, and Play Again keeps a series. On Apple Watch, bowling has its own scorer and a Bowling workout. Host a game for others to join, or show it on a TV.

BASEBALL, SOFTBALL, TEE-BALL AND KICKBALL
One new tile covers all four, picked on its own setup screen — search for any of the four names and it is there. It keeps balls, strikes, outs and runs as an inning-by-inning line score, with the rules each game needs: a walk on ball four, a free foul with two strikes (an out in kickball), no last at-bat for a home team already ahead, walk-offs, extra innings, and tee-ball's everyone-bats innings. A run limit per inning and a mercy rule are there if your league uses them.

BATTING ORDERS AND SAVED TEAMS
Give each team a batting order and Scorecard shows who is up and who is on deck, keeps each team's place from inning to inning, and takes substitutions mid-game. Save a side and its order as a team and pick it again next time.

SCORE AS MUCH AS YOU LIKE
Detailed scoring is a set of options you turn on like an expansion: runners on base, hits and errors, batting stats per player, and pitch counts per pitcher. Host the game for others to join, or show it on a TV.

PLAYER GROUPS
People and Teams has a new section for groups: a name, a colour and people in order, for every game or only the ones you choose. A game's player picker shows your groups — one tap adds everyone in order, or adds the group as a team. A group can include people who are not on your players list.

GOLF AND DISC GOLF
An In the Hole button — In the Basket for disc golf — marks each player in without touching their score, so you can look the hole over before moving on. On the last hole, Finish Round ends the game, and a round played without setting any pars still names a winner. On Apple Watch, moving from hole to hole no longer sticks on the second hole, and the round ends on a results screen.

SMALLER THINGS
- Basketball, football and soccer called the home team by the word for the home screen in German, Spanish and French. It now reads Heim, Local, Locaux and so on. Games already started keep their names.
- Golf: the number pad no longer opens by itself on every new hole.

### 1.4.1 — 2026-09-29

A FIX FOR A CRASH
On iOS 18, tapping a tab at the bottom of the screen could close the app. It no longer does. Thank you to the tester who reported it.

TABS REMEMBER WHERE YOU WERE
Go back to a tab and you are where you left it, not at its top. Tap the tab you are already on to return to its list. A game you walk away from is still saved, and its card offers to resume it.

### 1.4 — 2026-09-28

SCAN CARDS IN SKYJO AND RIPPLE
Photograph the grid of cards in front of a player and it fills itself in. It reads from any angle and any way up, across the table or upside down, and anything it was unsure of is outlined for you to check with one tap. The photo is read on your device and is never saved or uploaded.

JOIN A GAME FROM THE HOME SCREEN
When somebody nearby is hosting, the home screen offers it — "Join Skull King", with who is hosting underneath. One tap and you are in the game; if several people are hosting, you choose which.

WIN BY 2, YOUR CHOICE
Pickleball, tennis, table tennis, badminton, squash, racquetball and volleyball each have a Win by 2 switch where you pick the players. Leave it on for the rule, or turn it off and the first to the target wins, even at 21–20. In tennis, off means No-Ad. Basketball can now be played to 11, 15 or 21 instead of by quarters, with the same switch.

SMALLER THINGS
- Shards of Creation: joining a game already under way takes you straight to it, following the host's shards, instead of leaving you on the shard picker.

### 1.3 — 2026-09-22

PHASE 10
Ten phases, in order. Each player's panel leads with the phase they are on and what that phase asks for, so the one reference card the box ships can stay on the table instead of under somebody's hand. Ticking a phase off is the only thing that moves a player up the ladder — and unticking a hand played four rounds ago walks every later phase back with it. Score a hand in the deck's four bands and the card does the multiplying. Low score wins, but only among the players who finished all ten: somebody sitting on 40 who is still chasing phase 7 has won nothing.

AZUL
The floor line is a table and not a rate — 1, 1, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3 — with the first-player marker taking a space like any tile, and an eighth tile costing nothing because it goes back to the lid. A score never drops below zero, and the clamp is applied round by round rather than once at the end: 5, then minus 8, then 5 finishes on 5 and not on 2. The marker pill shows the running total and says where it stopped. End bonuses are counted once, when everyone is tired — 2 a row, 7 a column, 10 a colour placed all five times.

FOUR FROM GRANDPA BECK'S
Another Man's Treasure, a rummy where the lowest score wins, in Classic and Progressive, with the collection pattern that decides ties. Watch the smileys: one stuck in your hand costs ten on top of the five the card is already worth. The Ticket Booth, eleven attractions scored by majority — half on a tie, double on a sweep — where two players tied for a seven take three and a half each, because halves are kept rather than rounded away. And Cover Your Kingdom and Cover Your Cookies.

FINDING A GAME
Tags are searchable. Type "grandpa becks", apostrophe or not, and all eight of that publisher's games come up at once.

ON THE APPLE TV
Pegs and Jokers can be put on a television now: the ring, every peg, the castles and the homes. The board faces the room rather than turning toward whoever is holding the phone, because a television has no seat to favour.

SMALLER THINGS
- Shards of Creation offers a second drawing, the Cosmere symbol. Hold its tile to switch, the way Magic's dragon and mage already work.
- The sports tiles are drawn at their proper size on icon-only tiles, instead of being fitted to a default.

### 1.2 — 2026-09-20

Golf courses can be kept.

Save the course you're playing from the ⋯ menu and it fills the pars in before the first drive next time. Set one up by hand before a round, or point the camera at a printed scorecard and let the hole count, the pars and every tee's yardages arrive filled in. It's read on your phone — no photo leaves the device and nothing needs a signal, which matters in a clubhouse. A card printed in yards is shown in yards. A saved course remembers where its tees are, so every drive measures itself.

Any hole count from 1 to 36, so a 12- or 21-hole disc course is finally expressible.

SPORTS GOT THEIR OWN TAB
Basketball, football and soccer are scored by tapping the court or the field where the play happened — beyond the arc is three, the free-throw circle is one. Pickleball, tennis, table tennis, volleyball, badminton, squash and racquetball each score by tapping the side that won the rally.

EVERY GAME EXPLAINS ITSELF
A How to Play for every game, and a short tour the first time you open the app.

ON YOUR WRIST AND YOUR TELEVISION
Eleven sports and two card tallies on the Apple Watch, with its own five-page picker and its own favourites. Cast any scoreboard to an Apple TV so everyone at the table can see it.

FIND THINGS FASTER
Search folded into the toolbar, giving the tiles back a row. A game with a number in its name is found either way — 7 or seven both reach Flip 7.

THIRTEEN LANGUAGES
Including five Englishes: UK, Canada, Australia, India, US.
