It is otherwise a fair choice for converting tunes to sheet music. ### 3/5 — Depends on what you’re looking for. *2020-08-22, version 2.5.5* I am a novice songwriter. I know the notes but find it hard to get the timing right in my notation. Using the tips for recording, I either sing the notes with a doh sound or play them singly on an instrument but try to keep it simple. This has meant that, for the most part, the software can cope and gives me, in the main, what it says on the tin. Editing is a bit of a problem. I would like to be able to change the length of a note that’s been analysed incorrectly but can’t work out how to do this. The worst problem I’ve found so far is that I record something for analysis but the programme goes back to the iPad home screen without saving the recording! So I have to repeat the whole process again, sometimes more than once. As I say, this app does what I want it to to a degree and hasn’t cost a lot but if you want it to analyse something with more difficulty, you may well have problems. ### 4/5 — Good but could be better *2020-05-27, version 2.5.5* I play tunes on my flute into the ipad then it saves in cloud I can edit on the iPad and it works well but I have the the studio version on my lap top which is a brilliant. I have one problem when I open a tune on my iPad I can’t get it to go back tapping the X just flashes on the screen, I have been deleting the app and redownloading, can you fix this please. ### 1/5 — Old, unupdated, software. Believe the low reviews *2020-01-28, version 2.5.5* I should have known by the 2012 copyright and the poor reviews that this program, if it EVER worked, certainly would fail on today’s iOS. Program only successfully captured 2 notes out of 4 (roughly 10 second) recordings. On 3 recordings gave an error upon starting analysis and then just sat there. The 4th clip was only 2 notes, which it captured. Roughly every other touch to the screen would crash the app. Maybe if author updated his code, instead of leaving 7 year old app on store to snag the unwary, it might work. You’re not serious? *2019-05-10, version 2.5.5* My first test: I played 5 single notes on the piano and the playback gave me 10 notes!!! Of which half were wrong! ### 1/5 — It doesn’t work correctly *2019-01-14, version 2.5.5* I downloaded this app in hope it would work correctly as it’s demonstrated. But when I tried it it doesn’t write the correct note and timing was off too. I’m disappointed paying for something that doesn’t work as well as it is demonstrated on YouTube videos. I use this app on my Mac and it's pretty good - on my Mac - but portrait only is a real drawback for iPad. Fix this for a better review! ### 1/5 — ❌AWFUL do not buy this! ❌ it’s a con! ❌ *2018-11-17, version 2.5.5* if you want to have more than 10 songs, you have have to pay a monthly subscription of 5$ (which 60$ a year btw) after you already bought the app! The app will literally stop working until you delete enough songs to get to the minimum. :( I regret giving these con artists any money, and the app doesn’t even work regardless, it gets notes wrong even if I play slowly on my piano. ### 1/5 — Rubbish App - want a refund *2018-10-06, version 2.5.5* The first time I recorded piano playing it not only cut short the song but then every time I press the “Analyse” button to convert it to sheet music it gives up after a time and states “No Network” when quite clearly the WiFi/internet is fully functional. There is no “help” that I can see on the app itself. It does not work as advertised, crashes constantly, and wastes both your time and money. I tried giving it a chance, but nothing functions properly. Save yourself the frustration and avoid this app entirely. ### 1/5 — Seriously? *2022-11-15, version 2.5.5* A complete failure. I played a simple tune on my instrument and the result was a disaster. I tried a few more times with the same result. Anyone that gives this 5 stars must be paid by the creators to do so. A complete and utter waste of money and time. A “No Network” message appears when I try to analyze the song. The timing is off on the recording. I am sure the folks at ScoreCloud will eventually work these and other issues out. Nice attempt at a difficult task! ### 1/5 — Don’t get tricked! *2022-04-05, version 2.5.5* I was just looking for an app that could record what I play on the piano, so I just looked at the price and thought it must be something or else they wouldn’t put a price on it. DO NOT BE FOOLED. The app can only save 10 scores until it asks for more money, the actual system that listens to you play is rubbish: can’t write chords; rhythm is all over the place; less than half the notes are accurate and it writes double the amount of notes you play and it can only write one-clef. After it leaves you speechless over the inaccuracy of the software, the editing available to the score is extremely limited and very awkward to learn and use. After you have been pained to go through this tedious process you will come back to it after a few days and every score you did is gone... I am one of those people who dabbles in music as a hobby with little time (and patience) for learning theory BEFORE I get to making something. This app allows me to quickly get notation for the melodies or bass lines that pop into my head. It's very accurate but it is limited by your singing/humming ability :-) In any event, this rounds out what I need. ScoreCloud to get melodies, PolyChord to figure out nice chord progressions, and AudioBus to tie all my audio goodness on my iPad together!
