This newly redesigned version is powered by Falcon 3, ScoriUp’s robust communication protocol for dependable mobile-to-server communication. Falcon 3 helps keep referee devices connected to the scoring server, even in demanding tournament environments with multiple mats, many devices, and live matches running at the same time. ScoriUp Referee builds on the proven Scoring Wi-Fi referee controller technology, continuously improved through more than 15 years of real tournament use, testing, and experience. Generation 4 adds the reliability and flexibility required for modern events, including improved communication designed for busy venues and heavily used Wi-Fi networks. Falcon 3 is designed to improve connection stability during live tournaments, especially in demanding environments with multiple courts, multiple referee devices, and busy venue Wi-Fi networks. ScoriUp Referee now also supports multi-server environments, making it easier to use the app at larger events, multi-court setups, and venues running more than one ScoriUp scoring system. Compatibility with previous Scoring Wi-Fi servers is preserved through automatic Legacy connection mode. When the app connects to an older Scoring Wi-Fi server, it can continue using the legacy communication mode, allowing existing users to upgrade the referee app while still supporting older server installations. ### 4.0 — 2025-04-20 UI Visual Cleanup – Better resizing for Forms competitions on small screen devices like iPhone. Error Message Improvements – Added clearer and more helpful error messages for user setup. Bug Fixes – Resolved UI glitches when switching between portrait and landscape modes on iPhone. New Behavior – Automatically switches from Setup to Scoring mode when setup is successful. ### 3.2 — 2025-04-18 Maintenance Release Notes Bug fixes and code cleanup: No new core functionality was added or removed. Improved TCP/IP client performance for faster and more reliable connections. Fixed connection issues with servers that have multiple network connections. Enhanced usability: Other views, apart from the scoring view, can now be used in portrait mode. The scoring view remains in landscape mode. User interface cleanup for a more polished experience. New quick access links added: • Support Center – Manage support tickets and get help • Referee Forum – Connect, share experiences, and ask questions • New Server Setup – Simplified onboarding and configuration ### 3.1 — 2023-10-07 Change the default application orientation to horizontal (landscape) layout for full Poomsae and Kata compatibility. ### 3.0 — 2023-08-31 Add full support for upcoming September release of the new Martial Arts Forms/Patterns Competitions and Tournaments server. The full supports includes WT Poomsae and also Karate Kata competitions. Now one server Supporting all, Sparring, Kumite, Poomsae general and Free Style & Recognized patterns and forms.
