Can’t add payees and can’t create Interac e-transfers. Deleting the app and will need to do it online. ### 1/5 — No Interac e-transfer support *2025-01-18, version 5.5.1* I switched after using BMO and CIBC’s equivalent and have this to say: BMO Cash management app is by far the best, industry leading. Great functionality including basics like Interac e-transfer! CIBC is the worst of the 3 ScotiaConnects is not far from CIBC. How could you not have Interac E-Transfer or see simple account history last 30 days? ### 1/5 — Owner *2024-08-25, version 5.5.1* Absolutely terrible product Everything that makes their personal banking app useful and easy did not transfer to the business app Over complicated and confusing ### 1/5 — Do not install this app! *2024-05-05, version 5.5.1* 1) The app isn’t free, it’s $2/mo for “Government charges”. The charges are optional, but you cannot opt out of them. Doesn’t matter if Scotiabank confirms that you’re opted out, you’re still being charged for this app. 2) Your advisor says you need the app. You don’t. Don’t sign up for it, it’s separate paperwork for no added benefit. 3) The easiest way to get rid of ScotiaConnect is to close your account with Scotia. Wish I was joking. 4) When you get fed up with Scotiabank and try to close your account, the ScotiaConnect account you stop you. Even if the advisor says “just call us up and we can close your account”, it’s a 2-month headache of consistent followups, because of ScotiaConnect (this app) Don’t install the app. ### 1/5 — Scotia Business is true garbage *2024-04-05, version 5.5.1* I've been with scotia personal banking services for a long time and opened a business account in the past 6 months. Nothing but headaches on the business side. Experience is really bad. Tried opening a business account with TD, wow everything just works. Also for the personal accounts, seemless. I'll be moving everything over to TD as soon as possible. Whoever is in charge of Scotia business division should pay very close attention to all the bad reviews. Borderline unusable. P.S. Why do I have to get a special digital token app to log in when otp has been the standard for so long already?? Let me use 1Password or whatever I want!! ### 1/5 — Delete this now *2024-02-29, version 5.5.1* Having to pair this app with a digital token makes this login almost impossible due to insufficient timing. Once I logged in, the options to add users are not there like on the desktop (which locked me out with a bad gateway page) When I was inside the phone app and I clicked the home button, it logged me out to the login page again! Beyond frustrating. This app deserves 0 stars. I entered all the correct info and digital code and it glitched to a loading screen and now it says that my account is lock.
