## What is Scottish Dancing?

Detailed event information and dance instructions for each dance including steps (spoken aloud), videos, cribs, diagrams, instructional notes, extra info and related publications.

Create your own dance lists, save favorite dances and events for quick reference. View videos of dances and parts of dances, view diagrams with popup info, hear the dance steps spoken aloud (with automatic language translation possible), make personal notes on dances, and access links to external dance resources. The app is designed as a useful resource for Scottish Country Dancing, Reeling, and Ceilidh dancing.

Your notes on dances and events now appear more visibly at the top of that Dance or Event screen, just press "Add note". We've changed the way Feature Hints display to both improve performance and prevent them getting in the way.

Big improvements to Event Search: 
- More performant event scrolling and when lots of search results: auto load as you scroll, instead of only showing first 50 events. 
- For events with a known venue, a map preview is now shown and it's more obvious that pressing opens your mapping app. 
- Restyle the Event Search Filters to help avoid a pitfall of an unknowingly having filters selected hiding events. 
- Searching year ahead now an easy to access date button due to requests (also helped by improved results pagination). 

Videos:
 - Toggle full-screen video by rotating (on iPhone devices) and/or pressing a more obvious "Full screen" button. 
 - Allow hiding of Formations videos section, some users like them, some say they just get in the way. 

Many smaller performance improvements, bug fixes and security updates.

Added the new RSCDS 1 - 3 "ghillies" dance difficulty guidance. Applied automatically to dances as the Royal Scottish Country Dance Society releases official difficulty ratings. Various visual and performance improvements along with fixes for a couple of bugs reported. Thank you to everyone who has let us know about any problems encountered!
