## Newest reviews (13 of 61)

### 4/5 — Okay but could be better

*2025-11-17, version 4.5.1*

I think the app is fine but it would be nice to have the app do more and be a more all round Scottish rugby app. For example it would be good to buy tickets from within the app (also would be good to be able to buy club tickets as well). I’d also like to see the ability to add my ticket to my apple wallet for easy access at the gate. I guess another handy addition would be a map of Murrayfield helping you get to seats, useful for first time visitors (could also show bars and food vans?)

### 2/5 — Works but not user friendly

*2025-10-20, version 4.5.1*

The user experience is poor. Tickets seem to arrive a few days before the game so in that sense it works, but until then the app doesn’t show a booking at all. This means uncertainty that the booking is safe for the weeks and months between booking & game

### 4/5 — Functions as needed

*2025-04-02, version 4.0.6*

It does the job. It's a bit clunky but once you're set up its easy to navigate. We didn't have the out of country issues another reviewer notes.

### 2/5 — Data harvesting!

*2024-10-14, version 3.9.5*

Why do they ask for so much data?? I just want to watch some rugby and I have to submit a whole load of data, even though I don’t want any of their marketing. It’s not like I can even opt out.
Nasty, controlling SRU. Is it even within GDPR? No reason given for harvesting all my data like this. Seriously angry and I haven’t even watched Finn get a red card yet!!

### 2/5 — Flawed

*2024-05-29, version 3.5.4*

Easy enough to use. Handy enough in your pocket. Not well thought through though. Transfer your ticket to someone and you have no record of the transfer and no proof that the ticket is yours. You have no timeout or means to retrieve it.
No clear evidence either that the SRU can protect the ticket for you.
Any chance of an upgrade?

### 1/5 — Useless

*2023-12-26, version 2.18.0*

Won’t accept the code being sent to me

### 1/5 — Why?

*2023-12-04, version 2.17.1*

What is the point of all this? So long winded!! Have to give them all of your details just for a ticket! Will avoid using this at all costs in the future, why not just send the tickets out on an email to the person who ordered the tickets and they can distribute, pure data grab!

### 1/5 — Not good for people with poor sight

*2023-09-23, version 2.11.24*

Complicated, clunky, to much personal data to create an account and fixed screens mean partially sighted individuals cannot increase size to view the incredible amount of terms and conditions you have to accept.

### 1/5 — Problematic

*2023-09-22, version 2.11.24*

I’ve got the App!
Can see my name & number via the App!!
Still receiving emails telling me to download the App!!!
Worryingly NO tickets available!!!!

### 1/5 — Terrible!

*2023-08-25, version 2.11.20*

Terrible for out of country fans. Receiving a log-in code by text only was impossible for two of our group of ten. And the others had to pay roaming fees. Downloading and installing this app is an excessive expectation for going to see one game. It has taken us over 45 minutes just to create the accounts to be able to access the tickets we have already purchased.

### 1/5 — Horrible app

*2023-08-25, version 2.11.20*

This was an absolutely nightmare experience for a group of out of country fans. We had to attach one ticket to each individual phone even the tickets for the group were purchased by a single person. This process was frustrating in the extreme. If it was possible I would give this app a negative 5 star rating. Never to be repeated.

### 1/5 — Why do you want my data?

*2023-08-12, version 2.11.20*

Asks for an absurd amount of data for a ticket

### 1/5 — Forced to use app

*2023-08-02, version 2.11.20*

The app is not bad I guess but why do I have to even use the app. I was planning on leaving my mobile at home and taking a spare in case I lose it or it gets stolen at the event but you are forcing us to use the app and also collecting unnecessary personal information which is probably some kind of violation in of itself.
You’ve created a solution to a problem nobody had to begin with, congrats. Bunch of geniuses.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Worst

*2026-07-18, version 5.7.1*

So unnecessarily complicated, and that’s not even the start of it. Kicks you out during ticket purchases and seat selection. Please someone sort this out

### 1/5 — Lesson learnt

*2026-07-07, version 5.7.1*

I stupidly offered to buy tickets to the rugby for a family member which I had never don’t before, I have never came across a harder more complicated way to buy anything in life than buying from Scottish rugby. Thankfully I will never attend a game as this has put me off for life.

### 1/5 — Won’t accept activation code

*2026-04-16, version 5.3.3*

Won’t accept activation code

### 1/5 — Bring back paper tickets

*2025-11-18, version 4.5.1*

Bit ridiculous everyone needs the app and 1 ticket per device

### 1/5 — Dreadful

*2024-11-01, version 3.9.5*

What a mess. Bring back physical passes.

### 1/5 — Pile of rubbish - no point downloading - data capture

*2024-10-27, version 3.9.5*

I wouldn’t bother with this absolute pile of rubbish

It asks you for a whole host of demographic and sensitive (personal identifiable information) before you get to see how rubbish the App actually is:

+ Mobile number
+ Full name
+ Gender
+ DOB
+ Full postal address
+ Email address

Then it offers you poor experience from there in

It’s basically a web site within an App wrapper - and a very poorly implemented one

Everything links you out to web sites

The App navigation are web frames - probably iFrames - within an HTML wrapper - so they scroll off screen!

This is the poorest excuse for an App:

+ terrible experience
+ intrusive data capture
+ nothing of value within

Avoid; avoid; avoid

Just use the web site!

### 1/5 — App barely works

*2024-09-09, version 3.8.1*

I don’t see what was wrong with us printing out our own tickets

### 1/5 — Tickets never come through

*2024-06-13, version 3.5.7*

The definition of useless.

### 1/5 — Shambles

*2024-02-10, version 3.0.3*

Tickets don’t appear in the App. Been a Season Pass holder for years and this needs to be scrapped because it’s a nightmare.

### 1/5 — Joke

*2024-01-10, version 3.0.0*

This is trying to force me to accept all the opt-in marketing options just to register on the app. The option to continue without opting to everything in is conveniently off the bottom of the screen, so whilst I can scroll down to that, it’s not clickable.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Works really well

*2025-10-20, version 4.5.1*

Don’t know why this has such a low review. Works really well and has really improved speed of entry at the match.

### 5/5 — Great Secure App

*2025-09-05, version 4.4.5*

Great secure app for receiving and transferring tickets

### 5/5 — At last!!

*2024-12-15, version 3.12.4*

Welcome to the 21st Century! A lot of people moaning but this really is the way ahead!! Helps cut out touts !!

### 5/5 — Was dubious to begin with…….

*2024-06-29, version 3.5.7*

But I love it, it’s so simple and easy to use, tickets always turn up and providing no one leaves their phones at home by mistake there’s never a ticket left behind!

### 5/5 — Technophobic user

*2024-06-20, version 3.5.7*

As someone who has gone from the old printed to the plastic card and now this, I was quite worried I wouldn’t be able to use it easily. However now I’m familiar I can’t imaging the hassle of having to remember those other bits and pieces as I always have my phone. Due to distance not always able to attend with my son - it’s been our thing since he was little - and now I can transfer should he want to take a friend instead. Keep it simple and I’ll continue to be happy.

### 5/5 — Works brilliant

*2024-01-04, version 2.18.0*

Works fine everyone just loves a moan

### 5/5 — Easy to install

*2023-08-05, version 2.11.20*

The actual app was easy to install and verify account email and phone details. Took me 5 minutes. I had already ordered autumn test tickets and they appeared on the app with no issues. I appreciate that this may be a hassle for some people but that is more about SRU policy than the actual working of the app. I can only assume that the majority of customers must be satisfied as there are not a huge amount of reviews.

I have used the app again for summer/World Cup warm ups. Easy to order tickets and receive on mobile. I’ve now also easily transferred tickets to family with no problems.

### 5/5 — Easy to use

*2023-07-18, version 2.11.20*

We have a group with the entire family and have 4 Scotland season passes and we all decided we should get this app as it would be hassle-free and no worry to pick up the passes. Downloaded it and only had to put my details in order to create an account where the season pass is safe. Very easy to use and instantly shown up in the tickets section. Way better than having to drive to pick up them from my grandad. Recommend it over than the physical ones.

### 5/5 — Worked a treat. Got it set up in less than a minute.

*2023-07-18, version 2.11.20*

With ticketing moving into the digital age, this was bound to happen. I received my email from the SRU and followed the link to download the app. Filled out a few fields, got the SMS confirmation followed by the email confirmation and BOOM, there’s my season pass.

### 5/5 — Updated Comment

*2023-03-03, version 2.11.15*

Re negative responses, the App works very well and it’s introduction in the Autumn Tests did not produce delays or predicted carnage. Obviously, there are issues for some which can be readily addressed by a call to SRU but for reasons given below, it is a major improvement. I’m sure none of the naysayers are involved in commercial ticket resale but a major benefit for SRU and fans is improved visibility on ticket user identity.

From SRU website, for those who missed it:

Why has Scottish Rugby introduced it?

As well as being an integral part of Scottish Rugby’s drive for improved sustainability, access and security, moving to a paperless ticketing system is part of our digital transformation journey to improve the supporter experience on matchdays. This is the next step on our digital transformation journey, which has already seen the launch of the new Virtual Venue facility to help you buy your Scotland tickets on our Scottish Rugby Online Ticketing website.

Our mobile tickets are fan friendly and secure. Fans can manage their tickets digitally and remain assured that all tickets within the Scottish Rugby Ticketing App are authentic and secure.
