### 3/5 — Works ok

*2026-03-15*

Does not work as advertised. After the trial I felt as if I was getting good enough results to sign up and paid the subscription. Since then, I have been manually checking alongside using the app and there are multiple new listings which are not being detected. Played around with the locations, key words etc with no success. This app would be ok if you aren’t in need of consistent and regular listing updates but I wouldn’t rely solely on it

**Developer response:** Hi,

This isn’t accurate. Scout does not give worse results after you subscribe, and it cannot “miss” listings that appear in Facebook search. The app is pulling from the exact same Marketplace results.

If a listing appears to be missing, it’s almost always due to filters on the alert (such as required keywords, price limits, categories, or location radius) excluding it.

Feel free to reach us at contact@scoutnotify.com with any other questions or concerns.

### 1/5 — 🇵🇸

*2025-12-31*

No way it cost money

**Developer response:** Hi there, Scout is a paid app because it continuously monitors Marketplace and delivers automated alerts around the clock, which requires ongoing server resources. A free trial is available so users can try it first. Thanks for the feedback.

### 1/5 — High Subscription Costs

*2025-12-17*

I was subscribed to the standard plan for 4 months. Then the subscription price was raised when it was already pretty hefty just for a program scraping facebook that went down several times while being subscribed. I would recommend finding a cheaper alternative.

**Developer response:** Hi there, thanks for the feedback. Scout hasn’t had any downtime yet. The price increase only applied to new subscribers, existing subscribers kept their original rate. We can also see you’ve restarted your subscription, and we appreciate you continuing to use Scout. Recent pricing changes for new users were due to advanced AI features that improve result accuracy, while still keeping Scout the most affordable option available. Feel free to reach us at contact@scoutnotify.com with any other questions or concerns.

### 1/5 — Instant pas vraiment

*2025-12-06, version 2.3.25*

C’est supposé être instant mais ça prends 30 min à 1hr

### 1/5 — Wanted to subscribe but prices have doubled

*2025-10-01*

I’m pretty sure from my memory it was previously £2.99 a month for basic and £7.99 for standard but now it’s £4.99 and £14.99 😳

**Developer response:** Hi Kenzmllr, we understand the change may be frustrating. Recent updates added major upgrades like AI Curation, which automatically reviews listings for you. These improvements required a pricing update, though existing subscribers kept their old rates. Even so, we still offer faster alerts and smarter filters at a lower cost than other options. Feel free to reach us at contact@scoutnotify.com with any other questions or concerns.

### 1/5 — No thank you, I won’t subscribe to use your app

*2025-09-29*

Two subscriptions tiers to use the app. That’s all you should know to run as far away from this app as possible. Facebook already allows alerts on the things you’re buying anyways, what’s the point of selling your data to FB and then giving your money away for something you’re already doing.

Are you really *that* busy? No, you’re not. You sit in bed scanning FB marketplace already, that’s half the fun. Don’t let app subscriptions steal that joy from you.

**Developer response:** Hi Awesomeingram, Facebook doesn’t actually send alerts for Marketplace searches, which is why we built Scout to do it for you. We monitor listings around the clock and notify you within minutes of them going live, giving you the best chance to contact the seller first. Providing this level of speed and reliability requires ongoing server costs, which is why subscriptions are necessary, though we keep pricing as low as possible. Feel free to reach us at contact@scoutnotify.com with any other questions or concerns.

### 3/5 — Decent overall for the price

*2025-08-25*

A cool app for the price. However instant alerts aren’t instant as advertised. You seem to get alerts anywhere from 1 min to 20 mins after it’s been posted which isn’t ideal as it makes a huge difference to whether you can secure the item or not. The standard package says instant alerts so I’d like to see that in reality, or remove the word “instant” from the plan.

**Developer response:** Hi Aaron, thanks for the feedback. Facebook reviews listings before they appear publicly, which can delay when they become searchable. Once live, we send alerts within a few minutes. We’ll make this clearer in the app description. Feel free to reach us at contact@scoutnotify.com with any other questions or concerns.

### 1/5 — Subscribed for another 10 days but it won’t sign me in.

*2025-07-29*

Paid up for the month but the app gives me no option except pay for another subscription 10 days before my sub expires. No option to ‘restore purchases’, or anything at all – only pay up, or quit the app. Reinstall, same situation. To be frank, it’s a junk app considering it does nothing more than the desktop FB app does.

My search for ‘wood desk’ alerts me for ANYTHING ‘wood’ on market place, five times an hour, with no way to narrow the search terms (and of course it doesn’t accept Boolean). Don’t waste your money.

**Developer response:** Hi Semantix, it looks like the alerts you mentioned were created manually, which is why you received broader results. When using Describe Mode, we automatically filter listings to keep results relevant. The “Restore Purchases” option is in the top-right corner of the paywall screen if you’ve reinstalled the app or deleted your account. Feel free to reach us at contact@scoutnotify.com with any other questions or concerns.

### 1/5 — Lies

*2025-04-21*

Says instant notify but doesn’t actually instant notify you, will probably notify you an hour later even though you have it saved as instant notify, and misses out other ads

**Developer response:** Hi Akm, the time shown is when the seller created the listing, not when it became visible. Facebook reviews listings before they appear publicly, which can sometimes delay alerts by up to an hour. We notify you the moment a listing goes live. This is also noted in the app for clarity. Feel free to reach us at contact@scoutnotify.com with any other questions or concerns.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Bad

*2026-08-25*

Does not notify on time

**Developer response:** Hi, we’re sorry to hear this. Our delivery metrics show that over 99% of alerts are sent on time or ahead of schedule. If you experienced something different, we’d be happy to investigate the specific alerts on your account. Feel free to reach us at contact@scoutnotify.com with any other questions or concerns.

### 1/5 — Free trial

*2026-07-27*

I just made my account and there is no way for me to refuse the free scout trial which doesn’t allow me to use the app

**Developer response:** Hi Elineans, we’re sorry for the confusion. The free trial is there so you can try Scout before spending any money. You can cancel it at any time before it ends if you don’t want to continue. Because Scout continuously monitors Facebook Marketplace on your behalf it has high ongoing operating costs. This is also outlined in the App Store description. Feel free to reach us at contact@scoutnotify.com with any other questions or concerns.

### 1/5 — This app is bad

*2026-07-08*

I tried to get in and I can’t because it keeps asking me for a free trial and stuff but I can’t find anything the allows me to skip over all this app is bad

**Developer response:** Hi Levi, we’re sorry for the confusion.

### 1/5 — Complete Joke

*2026-02-26*

“Instant alerts!” *they appear 50mins - 4hrs late. Never ever ever pay for this app. What a joke.

**Developer response:** Hi there, we understand delays can be frustrating.

As explained in the app and our FAQ, we can only notify you once a listing becomes publicly searchable on Facebook. Sellers often post items well before Facebook makes them appear in search due to review and caching. We mirror Facebook’s search results exactly, if it’s not visible there yet, it’s not visible to us.

The time shown reflects when the seller created the listing, not when it became searchable, which is usually where the confusion comes from.

Feel free to reach us at contact@scoutnotify.com with any other questions or concerns.

### 1/5 — Not accurate, needs more features

*2026-02-13*

This does not give you actual instant most recent listings. When I type in the prompt it shows most things 15 hours old. Swoopa is way better at this point

**Developer response:** Hi, this is not accurate. We do not send alerts 15 hours late. We only notify users about newly searchable listings, and our metrics show instant alerts are typically delivered within minutes.

If you are seeing older listings in the preview, those are example search results, not new alerts.

If you are experiencing a specific issue, please contact us so we can review it directly. Feel free to reach us at contact@scoutnotify.com with any other questions or concerns.

### 1/5 — Looks like free but it not!

*2026-01-29*

Works only with the Subscription lol

### 1/5 — Trash & Fake Reviews

*2026-01-15*

This guy bought a lot of fake 5 star reviews, because there’s no way anyone finds this app usable to flip stuff on the

**Developer response:** Hi there, we don’t purchase reviews and all ratings are submitted through the App Store. If the app didn’t work as expected for you, we’re always happy to look into specific issues. Feel free to reach us at contact@scoutnotify.com with any other questions or concerns.

### 1/5 — That was two minutes of my life I won’t get back.

*2026-01-15*

Don’t waste your time or money

**Developer response:** Hi there, we’re sorry the app didn’t meet your expectations. If something didn’t work as intended, we’re always open to feedback and happy to help. Feel free to reach us at contact@scoutnotify.com with any other questions or concerns.

### 1/5 — It’s slow

*2026-01-15*

It says “instant” alerts, but it should say “10 min.”

Pretty delayed. It may be useful in a market where there’s zero competition, but it’s expensive for how slow it is.

**Developer response:** Hi there, instant alerts are delivered within a few minutes on average. Notifications are sent as soon as a listing becomes searchable on Facebook, which is the limiting factor. If you experienced unusual delays, we’re happy to investigate. Feel free to reach us at contact@scoutnotify.com with any other questions or concerns.

### 1/5 — Looks Great - Preforms Terribly

*2026-01-14*

The app looks nice, but that’s all you’re paying for. It’s a pain to use and so slow. Use another app for deals

**Developer response:** Hi Mason, thanks for the review. We’re genuinely surprised by this feedback. Scout is designed to be fast and effortless, with AI-powered alert setup and curation that lets users create alerts in just a few taps. We haven’t seen evidence of slowness or usability issues, but we’re always happy to look into specific problems if something didn’t work as expected. Feel free to reach us at contact@scoutnotify.com with any other questions or concerns.

### 5/5 — Well done!

*2026-05-02*

Finally a well-designed and cost-effective solution for FB marketplace alerts. Well done!

### 5/5 — BEST ALERT APP I'VE USED

*2026-02-04*

I started using this around 12 or so ago and since then I have found 7 deals that I am very happy with that came to my attention from the scout app. What other app will give you 5 instant searches and 55 hourly searches and for the low low price of $20 a month is astonishing. One thing that I would like to add or change is to let us change the miles distance on the items because I want to choose 20 but it doesn't give me the option. That's my only issue with the app, but aside from that where can you find an app that gives you 5 instant searches and 55 hourly searches. Great app but I would like the mileage option to be adjusted.

**Developer response:** Hi there, we’re glad Scout has helped you find some great deals, that’s exactly what we aim for.
We’ve added a custom radius option, so you can now set distances like 20 miles in the app. Appreciate the suggestion!

### 5/5 — Best Scouting app ever

*2026-02-03*

I have tried many marketplace search apps in the apple store. This one is the best, it is simple, easy to use interface and very competitively priced.

Thank you so much for developing such an intuitive app, you have added so much value in my sourcing time.

I would recommend giving this app a try, support the developer so we can keep this app going!

**Developer response:** Hi there, we really appreciate you taking the time to share this. It means a lot to hear that Scout has made your sourcing faster and easier. We’ll keep working to make it even better.

### 5/5 — Worth it!

*2026-01-12*

If you are always doomscrolling on marketplace, or are just always looking for deals, the subscription for the full functionality of the app will pay for itself. I’ve saved lots of time and money using this app - and I don’t mind supporting smaller developers. Great work!!!

**Developer response:** Hi Jack, thanks for the kind words and for supporting independent developers, we really appreciate it. Glad Scout has been saving you time and money!

### 5/5 — Awesome tool!

*2025-11-29*

I really like this application. I use it on my phone too, but I run it on my Mac during the work day.

### 5/5 — Finally, reliable alerts for Marketplace

*2025-08-01*

It’s such a beautifully simple app that fixes the broken alerts from Facebook. It tells you straight away when something you’re looking for gets posted. It’s also very easy to use, reliable and clearly well-made. Highly recommended

### 5/5 — Never miss a bargain

*2025-07-27*

I used to always miss out on the bargains on marketplace, but now I get alerts as soon as they are listed. Easy to use, well laid out & affordable.

### 5/5 — Essential tool for online arbitrage

*2025-05-31*

I use this app to find undervalued items on Facebook Marketplace and resell them for profit. The alerts are fast and accurate, helping me spot deals right when they go live. The interface is clean, intuitive, and easy to navigate. Highly recommended for anyone doing online arbitrage. Great work!

### 3/5 — Can’t use it at all without a subscription

*2026-08-28*

I get that servers cost money, but a three-day trial isn’t enough, and no free option at all is a bummer.
